So, there was once a writing exercise my GT teacher showed my class. It was called mind journeys, and they still intrigue me. In any case, they are meditations that create a symbolic journey into your mind that is productive both in self-discovery and in writing skills. The idea is to follow the journey and during/after you write about what you saw in your meditation in the most detail and exactness you can. It's also called Kokology. Has anyone heard of it or do you have any ideas on it?

I agree with Hawkmoon! I gotta tell ya though, I've never heard about this before. I wonder if the teachings or teachers in your area have more knowledge than the ones in mine... neutral
I'll wait to see if anyone else has ideas on this. 3nodding

At least someone has heard about this... mrgreen
I was never able to do anything like that during my time in school so you must be lucky LWS. 3nodding Guess what? I don't think I've ever actually meditated in my life so far. However, I have been able to just come up with the next events of a chapter in my stories by just thinking about them and not have to meditate. I wonder if a lot of other writers do it that way as well... neutral

Well that's what I was pointing out, I mean I didn't have anyone tell me I had or could meditate in school so that's why I never did.
Well if that's weird then we're both weird cuz that's been known to happen to me on several occasions. 3nodding However, I sometimes don't need of a piece of paper. I still recall the things I came up with about my character of Kenshin Belmont and how the next chapter is supposed to play out. 3nodding

Well, I am not sure but maybe it's a good thing you were forced into the whole meditation thing? neutral
Indeed! Although "yay" strikes me as a "gay" thing, ha-ha! lol Seriously, I know what you are talking about for sure! Back when I was writing my first Castlevania fanfic, I had some pretty cool ideas for the story after I wrote a chapter and since it already was 3 pages long (I wanted to make every chapter 3 pages long for symmetry) then I couldn't add anything. That sucked for me but for some reason, that hasn't happened to me lately. I just added a new entry to my Kenshin Belmont Journal (my second Castlevania fanfic so far), in case anyone wants to check it out. 3nodding
