Route 13 is an east-west route located in southeast Kanto. The eastern terminus is at the Silence Bridge portion of Route 12. The western terminus is at Route 14.

Once he got to Route 15, Alexander walked into some tall grass. He didn't see any pokemon around...for some reason it seemed like there were no trainers around and no pokemon. He didn't want to make Psy and Fang battle now that they were on the same side, because then it would start some internal drama with the team. Fang spotted a gloom in the distance, he stalked it slowly and then Alexander yelled.
"FANG! USE TAKE DOWN!" The gloom was startled by the yelling, and when it turned around it wasspeared to the ground by a viscious take down from Fang.

The gloom staggere back form the attack, it scowled angrily at Fang and then a powder shot out of the flower on its head...the powder filled the air and approached fang.
"FANG! Get out of the way! That's a stun spore!"
Fang jumped behind the gloom nimbly. Fang used Fire blast and shot a huge flame towards gloom. Gloom panicked anddove out of the way, barely dodging the blast, then as it hit the ground, a blast of liquid came from its flower and shot at Fang, it hit Fang and Fang howled in agony. Gloom's acid attack was very powerful.

"Fang! Get up and use bite!"
Fang rose to his feet quickly and charged gloom, but gloom used sweet scent. Fang smelled the air and was immobilized, the smell was distracting him from the battle going on, then the gloom shot out a stun spore. This time, Fang was paralyzed and couldn't move very quickly anymore. This gave gloom yet another opening and it shot more acod towards Fang.
"Dodge and use take down again!"
Fang tried to dodge the shot, but Fang was hit right in the same spot as last time...this gloom had remarkable aim. Still, Fang hit take down, although it wasn't quite as powerful as before. Gloom flew backwards ,but this time landed on its feet.

Gloom lowered its head, the sun was mgnifying onto the flower, Alexander knew that it was charging for a Solarbeam atttack.
"Fang, use agility to get your speed back, then use fire blast while its charging!" Alexander commanded Fang, maybe this would finish gloom before it had a chance to take the shot.
Fang did as he was told and the flower on gloom's head caught on fire. Gloom had been burned, the flame wouldn't fo out, Gloom panicked and started running around back and forth. The solarbeam was charged, but unable to do heavy damage to a fire pokemon, especially since gloom had cut itself off from the sunlight after the blow.

Gloom was severely hurt from the burn, but it continued the battle. It used acid on Fang again, but Fang dodged it easily.
"Use take down!"
Fang tried to move, but was gripped by its paralysis. It stood there as Gloom bent its head as preparation for another solar beam. Alexander knew that this was going to end soon if he let gloom land that attack.

Alexander knew that this could be a huge mistake, but he risked it anyways. He picked up Fang's pokeball and a red beam of light shot out surrounding Fang. The beam shrunk him down so that he could be pulled into the pokeball and the light disappeared inside of it. He sent out Psy, Gloom was fully charged and prepared to fire the beam at Psy.
"Disable it!"
Psy did so, and the gloom found that it couldn't move its flower...it couldn't shoot anything out because all of its attacks were centered around it.
Without any other options, Gloom charged at Psy to confront it head on.

The gloom looked like it was trying to tackle Psy off of pure instinct, but Psy side stepped the gloom and the gloom fell over clumsily.
"Show it your psychic prowess!" Psy used confusion and the gloom floated up into the branches of a tree., the gloom was thrusted in all directions and the branches scraped it all over. Gloom managed to land in some of the branches once Psy's confusion stopped.

Gloom was no longer disabled and used its height to spout acid in all directions. There was no way Psy could dodge all of the goop, so Alexander decided to use it to his advantage.
"Use confusion to make all of the acid rush to gloom!"
Psy's eyes turned blue and he shot the acid back into the tree. There was a strong surge of energy that filled the air, Psy was slowly but surely gaining control of his psychic abilities alongside Alexander.

The acids all rushed into the tree creating a giant ball of poisonous goop in the center of the tree. Gloom fell out of the tree and hit thee ground completely covered in the dark green liquids.
"Follow up with scratch!" Alexander could tell it wouldn't be long until gloom was down for sure. Psy knew the same thing, so he threw extra effort into his scratch attack, it seemed to be a critical hit, as gloom's leaves were shredded off.

Gloom barely was able to stand up, it tried to use a stun spore again.
"Psy! Quick! Use confusion again!"
Gloom had an intense headache after the move hit. Stun spore shot out, but it went to low to the ground and gloom had paralyzed itself. Alexander withdrew Psy, and gave Fang another shot. Fang could sense his trainer's electric determination right now, most growlithes could detect moods based on scents given off, this was no exception. He stepped back with his front left paw and charged up the fire to release his most powerful attack.

"Fang! Let it go!"
The flames charging in Fang's mouth were released at Gloom in a powerful fire blast. Gloom was too stunned to dodge the attack. Fang's fire blast was rushing Gloom, Fang's instincts took over from being with Alexander's strategies for so long. He developed his own follow up attack. He used agility to rush through the very flames that he'd created.
"Fang? What are you doing?" Alexander started to stop Fang, but knew that Fang had a plan.

Surrounded by his own flame attack, Fang rushed Gloom with Agility. He noticwed his trainer hadn't called him back yet, so obviously Alexander finally trusted him fully. Fang sprung off the ground and jumped high in the air, still in the middle of its fire attack. It changed direction and dve to the ground where Gloom stood, it was using a fire blast-take down combination. Gloom braced itself for the hit.

The immense power of the attack hit gloom directly, it was too fast to dodge, to powerful to endure. The flames exploded all around the ground, debris flew everywhere, some flamees scattered into trees and burned their leaves. Gloom was unable to battle. Alexander quickly sent out Psy.
"Smother the flames with confusion!"
Psy cut off the oxygen around the surrounding flames until they could no longer burn.
"Great job you two, you really were great out there."

Alexander made his way back to Fuchsia after sending both Psy and Fang back to their pokeballs. He needed to restore them back to full health.
