Route 7 is an extremely short road that connects Saffron City in the east to Celadon City in the west.

Once he emerged into the darkness, Alexander decided it was best to get out of there as soon as possible, the officials had no doubt alerted the Celadon police department, one of the most patented criminal investigation teams in all of Kanto. Alexander heard footsteps, he hid in some nearby brush. A wild houndour appeared. Psy stepped forward and raised his claws. Alexander really wanted a houndour, but he didn't want to slow down his team with two fire types. He couldn't take it on because he knew it was a dark type pokemon. Psychic atacks like confusion were just no match for it, so he just kept walking to the next destination: Saffron City.

The sun shines brightly as Lynda and Charmander go Meowth hunting. "If we can find at least one, we can get it to use Pay Day. Then we can grab some money. I'm starving, aren't you little cutie?" Lynda says as they both crawl in the grass looking for a meowth.

"Ah! Charmander! I found one, see?", Lynda whispers to her partner.
She points passed the bushes. Charmander nods and lights her flame bigger.
"Okay! Get ready, Ember!", Lynda commands. Charmander leaps up from the grass and aims its ember at the Meowth. The Meowth dodges sharply and counters with fury swipes. Lynda rushes over, " Charmander! Get up, you can do it!"
Charmander gets up slowly, this was their first real battle.
"Let's try a SmokeScreen!", shouts Lynda. Charmander sends a blast of smoke from its mouth, trapping the meowth.
"Alright! Ember!" Charmander fires ember into the smoke. Lynda waits for the the smoke to clear up.. The Meowth was still unharmed! The Meowth uses PayDay and scatters coins everywhere.
"Great! It use payday!", yells Lynda excited, " Charmander, ember!" Charmander gets ready, but the meowth rus away, kicking dirt in charmander's face.
"Charmander, are you okay?", Lynda asks as she walks over to charmander.
"A battle well fought, buddy. Let's collect those coins." She rubbed Charmander on the head. Charmander recovered quickly with minor injuries and helped Lynda collect the coins.
The two continue to Saffron City.
