*Everyone has their own little fog story going so I decided to jump on the bandwagon 8D Maybe we can have hanse, skye or atticus?*
"Where is everyone?" Mitsu asked impatiently. They had been lost in this dense fog for a couple of hours now and she was completely unnerved and ready to be with the others. "I haven't seen or heard anyone in-" Crash. Once again Mitsu was cut off as she walked face first into a tree.
'I told you to watch where you are going," Neko huffed. It never failed that he ended up getting stuck with the mutt.
Making a pouty face that couldn't be seen, Mitsu pushed away from the tree. "Can't see anything let alone where I'm going," She grumbled softly.
"Then walk more carefully," Neko growled overhearing her perfectly well. "And stay close, it would be an easy matter to get lost in this."
Shuffling her feet Mitsu moved a little closer. Once she was close enough she reached out and took hold of the back of Neko's shirt. She didn't want to be lost and on her own in this. The cold she could handle, the rain she could handle, the fog so thick you could cut it with a knife...not so much.

Atticus was there bringing up the rear. A close rear, mind you. Independent he may have been, but even he didn't want to be stuck out here alone.
He had to admit though, it was just a wee bit awkward to be stuck without the person he was here for in the first place. He didn't really KNOW these people. And frankly, didn't really care to.
"Why are we still moving?" Atticus asked when Mitsu came back to her senses after a viscous attack from the tree. "We don't know if we're any closer to everyone or moving farther apart." It was obvious that none of them seemed in the best of moods, but it didn't bother him. Getting on peoples nerves was something he did pretty well.
"It's probably what everybody else is doing." Then again. None of them were exactly bright by his standards.

Neko sighed a bit, Atticus had a point. It was a fruitless effort to keep searching for the others in the fog. For all he knew they were walking off in the opposite direction. Not to mention that there was no telling what was out here. More than once he had heard movement over head or off to the side but his nose couldn't register the scent that he caught.
"I guess you have a point," Neko finally said after a long moment of silence. "We might as well camp out until the fog lifts or in worse case scenario until morning."
"But...but...but..." Mitsu started but couldn't quite spit out her thoughts. "What about the others?"
"I'm sure they are safe, just keep calm," Neko grumbled as he placed a hand on Mitsu's head and steered her around. "Me might as well held back a little ways. There was a group of trees that would serve as some good shelter for the time being. Maybe we can get a fire going."
"What about food?" Mitsu asked looking between Atticus and Neko. It had been a while since they all had eaten.
"I don't suppose you have anything on you?" Most of their rations were with Yuki and he had only a small amount of dried meat to share.

Atticus was semi-surprised that Neko had agreed to his suggestion so quickly. Usually, anything he said was either greeted with a change in subject or downright rejection. Then again. Most of what he suggested was usually an attempt to be rude. Subconscious attempt, of course.
Mitsu wasn't quite as pleased with his suggestion. Understandable, he supposed. As Neko spoke about how safe they probably were, Atticus just couldn't help but add "As long as they're not alone." After all, there could be anything in this woods. Perhaps something waiting for a night like this to strike, even.
"Food?" Atticus repeated the question and thought for a moment. "I may." He probably did, truth be told. But whether it was enough to satisfy three people was another story. He always kept something in case of an emergency. But it was mostly for himself.
With a little grace, he paused and took his hat off, then proceeded to dig around as if it was a bag full of goodies.

"Alone?" Mitsu whispered looking at Atticus with large round eyes. What if Hitsu was out all by herself? What if Riyo had walk so far she would never find them again? Her head began to swim with the many 'what ifs' about everyone that Mitsu found herself taking deep sharp inhales of breath.
"Calm....down," Neko said sternly.
"But what if-"
"No, 'what ifs'." Neko cut Mitsu off before she could continue. "They are fine." He sent a meaningful glance toward Atticus as he said the last part. This guy was a constant thorn in everyone's side at times. He wondered if any one would question him if he told them Atticus had just gone 'missing' in the fog.
"Come on, lets head back," Neko led the small group back about half a kilometer to a small circle of trees before he too started to look through the bag attached to his back. Pulling out the small portions of dried meats he had he laid them out on the clean cloth to divide them up. "This is all I have. Its not much but it will get us through tonight."
Picking at a small piece of dried meat Mitsu eyed Neko skeptically. "This is rather...." She tried to find the right word for it.
