Saffron City is a sprawling metropolis in the Kanto region. It lies in between Celadon City, Vermilion City, Lavender Town, and Cerulean City.
Battle Arena
The Battle Arena is located near Saffron City in the anime.
Silph Co. HQ
Main article: Silph Co.
Silph Co. is the largest and tallest building in the city. They porduce a variety of goods for Pokémon trainers, such as the Silph Scope. Silph Co. has been targeted by Team Rocket.
Saffron Gym
Main article: Saffron Gym
Sabrina the Psychic-type Gym leader. She is a user of Psychic-type Pokémon.
Pokémon Contest Hall
Pokémon Coordinators come to the Saffron City Contest Hall to take part in Pokémon Contests.
It only appears in the anime, when May competed in the Saffron City Contest.

Alexander went noth and stared up at the gym. He had heard rumors about Sabrina, the psychic gym leader. She had unmatchable strength and could predict her opponents' moves successfully before even they knew what to do. He would have to wait a LONG time before he could challenge Sabrina. He continued on to the northern exit to get to Route 5, he was getting closer and closer to his hometown where he'd hide out for a while.

As Lynda and her partner, Charmander continue on their way, they head to the PokeMart.
Lynda turns to Charmander, "I know you must be very hungry, Charmander. We haven't eaten for days.. But thanks to your good work, we got some cash from that lil' Meowth. So, what do you want to eat? Pokemon food for fire types?"
Charmander nods her head as to say: Yes.
Lynda and Charmander walks into the store and pick up a few cans of Pokemon food. Linda gets herself some food, too.
Lynda checks out at the counter and the two head out of the store, "Okay, so let's find a quiet place to sit down." The two head into the Pokemon Center and sit at the tables. Lynda opens a can and hands it to Charmander,"There, enjoy!"
They spend half an hour in the center and they head off towards Cerulean City.
