Lavender Town is a small town located in northeast Kanto, just south of the Rock Tunnel. According to the citizens of the town, Lavender Town is known as the grave site of Pokémon. All the memorial services are held in Pokémon Tower. According to a local citizen, the ghosts that appear in the Tower, are the spirits of Pokémon that have died or were killed.

The Lavender Volunteer Pokémon House, located in central Lavender Town, was founded by Mr. Fuji. The organization exists to care for abandoned and orphaned Pokémon.
