Cerulean City is a seaside city located in northern Kanto. It is situated near a sea inlet to the north, with Saffron City to the south, and Mt. Moon to the west.

Bicycles can be purchased for an implausible 1,000,000, or with a Bike Voucher.

The Bike Shop moved to Goldenrod City in Generation II.

Cerulean Cave

On the outskirts of Cerulean City lies Cerulean Cave, also known as the Unknown Dungeon. It is said to be home to "horribly strong Pokémon". The player can capture Mewtwo at Level 70 if mod says you can

Alexander walked outside and saw two officers talking, he hid behind a building to listen in, maybe he could hear something about himself.

"...so then, as I threw out my exeggutor, the kid steals one of the motorcycles and takes off!" One officer explained to the other.

"Man, punks like that just make me sick, we'll find him soon, we've already informed Pewtwr , Celadon, Fuchsia, Sffron and Lavender about his appearance, I'm sure we'll catch him soon, it's only a matter of time." replied the other.

Alexander's eyes widened, if he was caught, he was dfinitely looking at some serious time.

"What about Viridian city and Pallet Town? they're pretty closeby too."

"Yeah, but they have no police departments, they're only rural areas, so not much crimes go on there."

The two officers walked off and headed towards the gym. Alexander rushed towards Mt. Moon, he'd definitely have to get through the cave to get to Pewter City and then to Viridian.

Clefairy leaped into action, pouncing at Horsea and punching it several times with her dizzy punch, which Phobos had learned was very effective. The Horsea fell down, woozy and confused. It picked it self back up, using Water Pulse against Clefairy, which also had chance of confusion, but luckily, Clefairy only came out with a little damage.

Phobos bit her lip, smiling. She had realized the opportunity layed out in front of her. She had been thinking about getting a water Pokemon, and now one was ready for capturing in front of her. She pulled out a pokeball, griping it tight in her hand with a grin on her face. She tossed it at the Horsea, the momentum nearly making her trip. She watched in hesitation as the ball swayed on the ground. Once. Twice.....

Three times! "Yes!" Phobos rejoiced. She picked up the pokeball, holding in it her hand for a moment, saying to herself "I feel like I should nickname you." She thought for a moment, what had led her here in the first place? Shine? Would shine be appropriate? No, she thought, thinking about it more. Then it cam to her "Flow!" she exclaimed, coming to a breakthrough. She decided she would name her Horsea after the river's beautiful flow.

Linda and Charmander finally make their way to Cerulean City. "Wow! This place is so peacful and beautiful!", Linda exclaimed when see gazed apon the long glittery river.
"Chaar!", Charmander squeeked while jumping up and down excitedly.
The two spend a couple of minutes looking out at the river. After a while, Linda notices a Gym. "Hmm.. Hey, I wonder what kind of Gym that is. I've heard that there are a ton of Gyms in every region. -laughs- Well, I've never battled a gym before. The only thing we've actually attempted to battle was a Meowth, right Charmander?"
Charmander smiles happily and suddenly in a determined face, she tugs on Lynda's arm and points towords the gym.
"Huh? Are you...? Do you want to challenge that gym?",
Charmander nods and blasts an Ember at the sky.
Lynda smiles, "But are you sure? I have zero experience at Gyms. And I'm p-reetty sure this town has a water type gym leader."
Charmander thumps her tail on the ground and tugs on Lynda's arm some more.
"Uuuhhh.. Okay you win, but first, I think that you have to have at least three Pokemon right? Let's go ask somebody first."
Charmander, a bit annoyed, follows obediantly.

Lynda walks up the bridge in search of another human being. "I don't see anyone here..", Lynda utters. "Well, I think it will take some more time until we should challenge any gym, charmader.."
Charmander ignores and wanders into the taller grass, with Linda following behind.
"...Where are we going?" Chamander continues going off in it's own direction and appears to be looking for something. "Charmander! Where are we going?"
Charmander digs around on the ground a little more and finds what it had been looking for. Charmander reachs over and plucks a Pecha Berry from the lush grass. Happy with its finding, Charmander rips it in half and offers the smaller half to Lynda.
"Heh, thanks Charmander", Lynda says, and pats Charmander on the head. The two sit there for a while and enjoy the gleaming clear river that was flowing next to them.
Just then an oddish wanders out into a clearing in the grass.
Lynda see the little creature and exclaims, " Oh, wow! That Pokmon is so adorable!"
Lynda watchs it from a distance as the Oddish baths its leaves in the warm sunlight. Charmander quickly digs around in Lynda's bag and picks up a PokeBall. "Shhhh! Charmander, stop! You're gonna scare the Oddish!"
Charmander hands the PokeBall to Lynda and raises its fists into the air. "Huh? You want to battle the Oddish?" Charmander nods and points at the PokeBall. "What's the Ball for?" Charmander is annoyed at Lynda's 'Zero Experiance at Pokemon'-ness. Charmader grabs the PokeBall and pretends to throw it at the Oddish.
"Ohhhhh..I get it, you want play with the oddish!" Charmander falls over dumbfounded. Charmander thinks, 'No! I'm saying we should catch the oddish!'
Lynda thinks for a minute and then said, " Hey, how about we catch the Oddish! It would make our adventures together a lot more fun with more Pokemon!"
Charmander nod eagerly and gets ready for battle.
Oddish is suddenly aware of Lynda and Charmander, and tries to retreat to the safety of its grass.
"Oh-no you don't! Charmander, get at close-range and use scratch!"
Charmander listens and dashes towards the frightened Oddish. Charmander slashes it on the leaves with scratch attack. The Oddish tumbles backwards, and in defence it starts shaking its body rapidly releasing a purple dust. "Watch out, don't breathe! Use Ember to counter the Poision Powder!"
Charmander obeys and blasts a strong Ember at the Oddish. Oddish is hit directly and is badly weakened. But the Ember had no effect on the Poison Powder. Charmander breathes it in and she begins to feel her enerygy slowly drain away. "No! Charmander!", Lynda rushes forward. "Are you okay?" Charmander weakly nods and stands up again. And despite the damage, the Oddish slowly struggles and attemps to dash to safety once again while it had the chance.
"Ack, what now? Uh, Charmander, Smokescreen! Don't let it escape!"
Charmander puffs up its chest and releases a dark smoke from its mouth. The Oddish, unable to see its surroundings, despretly runs in circles trying to escape.
"Okay that great Charmander! So... Now do I throw the Ball?
Charmander nods quickly and collapes on the ground for a moment.
"Do I throw it right at the poor little thing?? Doesn't that hurt?"
Charmander flails its arm franticly and nods.
"Okay here goes!", Linda throws a PokeBall toward the Oddish that is now collapsed on the ground from its exuastion.
In a crack of red light, the Oddish is sucked up into the ball. The ball landed back on the ground and began to shake back and fourth.
Once.
Twice.
Linda kept her eye glued to the PokeBall, while Charmander sat there with anticipation.
Three times!
The button flashes a quick red, 'Ding'.
Then the Pokeball remained motionless on the soft grass. It took a tiny bit for Lynda to finally relize that she had caught her first Pokemon! "Oh My Gosh, Charmander! We did it! We did it! Wow!!", Linda and Charmander rushes towards the ball and Linda quickly picks it up. "Our new friend Charmander.., Oddish."
The two stand there dazed from excitment, PokeBall in hand.
