Subira sat comfortably in front of a pile of rocks. Staring at them, waiting for them to move somehow to she could hear what the spirits news are.. but no movement. She stayed faithfully sitting for about three hours... then she heard a few steps inside the rocky exterior.. the vibrations within the steps.. where the swampy but forestry lands gave off.
"Sister."
She stated blankly.. but it sounded more unsure... feeling a bit of the vibration she then decided it was not her sister's step and she gave away her position.. her mother and father would not be proud. As a hunter. Her ears flanked back looking more like her mother when she was little at one time. Staring out in the entrance on where the vibrations were coming from.
The stones slightly moved... and when she looked down..
'The start of something new...'
She said inside her head. Her black pelt meshing well to the shadows.. but her skull face was the only bit that stood her out.. but she would stand her ground.. Her paws inched outward a little as her head lowered just a tad..not in fear but in a readiness to rush in a decision. As a 'dragon' she was not allowed to know fear and with her mother's inability to speak.. she shouldn't have to be scared if her mother was never scared. Even of lions! She squinted her eyes.. getting ready... ready for anything to pop out.

 A flash of silver fur approached. The young male moved with quick, swift movements of his paws, his body lean and growing stronger with every passing day. His face, whilst pale, was set with plum-coloured eyes which reflected the light so brilliantly.
He was Elrohir.
Shining knight.
Brave of heart.
He paused and scented the wind, finding a number of odd and delicious scents upon it. Some herds not too far away. Some water, too, somewhere beyond the trees. The land thrummed with smells, so sharp and beautiful to his powerful nose.
And, letting the tongue loll from his mouth, he continued on, pausing he peered between the shrubbery, blinking. Had he just heard something there?
Panting, he stepped into the clearing, his tail waving nervously.

The afternoon had become not only that of warning... but the stones. They said something.. and Subira had taken it much too seriously.. A shaman to be. This little place had been her safehome for all her enchantments and prayerings.. and to have to soiled but the unholy was not in her best interest..
She felt the spirits around her.. as if guiding her to protect the land that she would soon burn to make holy again. To take out the tainted steps of the ones before her.. and slowly.. like out of the darkness.. she minorly stepped out. Not enough to see her body.. but enough to see her skull like face.. and in to the clearing where the bush like entrance of the cave lead out to.
"Who goes there."
Stated and not asked nicely. She would not show violence unless it was shown to her first, like her mother said. Everyone had the right to live ~ and non to be soiled by hatred. Especially not in her lands. The breaths of the other.. she could not see fully out of the brush.. but the sight of something silver caught her eye. She controlled her breathing, not like the other. Only her skull could be seen out of the brush.. protecting her cave like the 'dragon' she was.. A slash of a scar across her eye was probably the only off color on her.. But her voice was not that of a normal pup, more of a very protective creature that would strike if needed to be.
Unlike his prince like manner- she was one that believed that she was only but a vessel of the spirits to use and inhabit to bring their world blessings.
Some where in the back of her mind..She hoped that Imamu would not visit her today... for if it was an intruder.. she would rather deal with it herself.

He drew to a halt, his fur fluffing as he startled at the voice. A voice that was not very friendly. But was it threatening? Were there growls and snarls? He pushed his nose through the undergrowth and came into view, noticing the odd female standing guard before her lair. She was indeed an odd marked creature and a small whine gathered in his throat.
He hadn't meant to trespass...
His tail waved slowly back and forth, almost hesitant, and then after a long moment he dipped his head and laid back his ears.
"I'm sorry...if I'm intruding. I'm Elrohir. I don't...I don't mean to trespass."

"Trespass you did..." Her head picked up as her eyes slitted. The spirits whispering in to her ears. Then all ceased to move, even the air around them. "Come in." Her voice very direct as her paw moved across the dirt in a half circle fashion to clear the fire from burning.
"Elrohir.. is it. A name is not so important but what is, is the true form of you.. 'Elrohir'. Tell me... what brought you here~." Her voice equally alluring for she was just a pup herself. She wouldn't know about seduction. But she knew how to convince a rat that he was a lion. Her ears went flat as her face- unexpressionless. "Young one~~~~"
Of course though. A name for her meant very much. A name.. you can reap one's soul from the very shell. How would he know? Wasn't he an outsider? Saying a name with such ease... she would not.

Elrohir hesitated.
He was wary and did not trust this female. She spoke oddly and he found he did not truly understand what she said. He was proud of his name and its meaning and tried to live up to it. For it was the title that his parents had given him, after all, and his parents had brought him life.
Even still, he moved towards her, not wanting to be rude. He had, after all, trespassed and it would be worse still to turn down her offer.
"True form?" He shook his head. "I'm sorry for being foolish but I do not understand. My name is my name, something I try to live up to. What brought me here was nothing more than my desire to explore and to grow. I am young but...so are you."
He sat, though the motion was slow and he seemed ready to spring back to his paws at any moment.

"You do not need physical strength here... young one." Her eyes closed and when she looked to him again her eyes seemed to glow..then dim. "It is your ancestor's spirits whom are protecting you.. I mean no harm..unless the spirits say..."
"Your name.. is that of a knight. A title that you wish to live up to? I can't believe what burden you have.. at such a young age.. Parents should be wary.. " She looked to the side... as the little cave she had started to echo many things..
Echo words as though they slithered like snakes..
"You will grow - that is true. But the faith your parents hoped for will not come true- in the form that they wanted. Your true... will lead you else where. In to a knight but in another words...."
"Your curiousity is your strongest point.. and yes. Your observation is correct. I am young.. in body. But not in knowledge and spirit.. What do you wish for... Knight."

He listened to her and found it hard to believe he was listening to the words of one as young as himself. He tipped forwards, ears bolt upright and eyes alert. There was something mystical and enchanting about what she spoke of, though he'd be lying if he said he understood it all.
"Wherever my path might take me, I am ready to face whatever comes my way." He returned softly, though he felt afraid at the possibility that he may not achieve his goal.
"What do I wish for?" He paused. "I wish to gain honour. I wish to protect those who are in need of protection. I wish to build and maintain a good name for myself in these lands."
It was a big request, but he seemed utterly prepared for what it held in store for him. He was ready to slay dragons.

"Do you... want me to make your wish come true."
She was.. very serious. Her eyes were straight to his.
"I can do it..." SHe lifted herself up.. A skull with red markings around it sat across from her.
"You'll be a knight.. You say for the one's whom need protecting.. In these lands. A name that will be known as a great one. Is such a wish.. I can give." Lifting her paw as she stood on her hind legs.. A tail slammed on to the ground and a rush of fire burned in the very spot it once was.
"Come... and make it known then. Come.." With an alluring quiet voice. See she was still a child.. but she could assure that if he came with her. She would make his wish come true. That's what she did..After all. Give everyone what they wished for.

"You could...do that?" He gaped a little, large ears directed completely towards her. His plum-coloured eyes were wide with surprise, but not disbelief. The way this girl spoke made him believe it was true.
He was on his paws again, dipping his head low to the little female.
"I will do anything to bring my goal into sight. Is this land far away? Is it your homeland?"

"Yes. I can. Just give me your paw." She offered as she lifted her paw up. Of course.. She was just a bit smaller than him in size but what gave her- her amazing talent was not her size.
"The lands I speak of.. you have wondered off too far from home. Here. Where you step is my land.~~~~" She said soothingly. Convincing like. As if she were whispering a spell to him. The fire burned low behind her.. giving its alluring way of dancing fire- an enchanting dance. Everything here... for her felt magical. Not like anything else. Her skull collections were tucked away. Like all her family she collected things. But for her. She wasn't interested in what anything physical- well. Except bones. But what really interested her wasn't on the outside but what was on the inside and what lived in all living things.
Her tail waving through the dirt that was too- a living thing.
"I can make your dream come true."

He glanced at her paw, and after a moment, lifted one of his own and set it against hers.
As she spoke, he looked up to meet her gaze, finding what he liked in that odd-marked face of hers. "Your land..." He repeated softly. "Would I be welcome there?"
He blinked. "And what must I do to repay you for seeing my dream become reality?"

As his paw was placed in to hers.. A flutter of ashes of a flower touched over the fire and then there was a whip of green fire swirled behind them. "You have to swear yourself to me.. and I'll be the holder of your dreams." She smiled... a kind but eerie way.
"And you will always return here.. " She as she pushed her maw against his cheek.. and whispered.. "I'll be your dreamholder..." As darkness surrounded them.. "Alright. Now.." She pushed him back as her spirits already were ready to speak at her. "Now.. tell your family.. Your destiny is set.. and the day when the darkness surrounds the day. Come to me." Her body rose as she gave out a long howl.. Where the spirits screamed and sang promises against her howl. A promise.. a pack was made.

He bowed his head deeply and, looking up at her again with clear joy in his eyes, he nodded and spoke again. "I will. Thank you." He breathed, allowing himself to be pushed back away from her, though it somehow saddened him to do it.
"I'll return. I promise." And with that he turned and ran back to his family, to tell him of his future.
And her howl followed after him, lingering in his soul even as the distance between them increased.
