I'm one of those old fashion Yu-Gi-Oh fans... What I meant by that is that I like it before it became popular... I used to collect them when I was younger, back in 1996, or maybe 1997... can't remember. I remember I have about two trash bags full of them, a lot of it were fakes... I stopped collecting them after they came out with those YuGiOh GX thing :/... I didn't like the cards, the show, or the fact that Yugi wasn't the main character.. I stopped playing the card game and watching the show since then... (I still play the Game Boy Color version of the game >.>...) So if I end up dueling (Like Kiba wanted me to that bad >.>) my cards would most likely be a few years old...
Anyways, when did YOU became a fan :3

I believe I was a freshman when I got into the game and the series. Since I was too young to get an actual job at the time, I wasn't a die-hard collector. My brother was the one who was into it and wanted someone to play with, so I figured 'why not'. After that, I started meeting a few people in my school who played as well and decided then that I'd try to get into it a bit more. When GX came out, I stopped watching and collecting for... well, quite a long while. The cards were bad and Jaden was, in my eyes, the equivalent of a certain orange-glad, uber popular ninja. Similarly, it was Kiba who asked if I was into the game, so I suppose you could say I just started collecting again this year. o:

I got into it when it first came to America when I was in like.. 4th or 5th grade. I haven't actaully bought a pack in about 4 years though and in the beginning I couldn't find very many packs, so I really got into the game after it had been out for a year or so.. >>

I got into yugioh like 7 years ago
when I was a sophomore in middle school, a friend gifted me a winged dragon guardian of the fortress, and I just like started collecting from there, but I was like 6 years just following the anime, and just buying cards to play once in a while with my cousin, but like, I had cards that i would have never thought they had such a value
for example, i had a mint breaker 1st ed from mf, and traded it for a really damaged amazoness sword master, just because I loved Mai in the series xD
I don't need to say that I wanted to cry when I started to learn about yugioh and looked for breaker's price

Hmmm... i was... in middle school... and the show had just come out. My cousins and i were watching the very first episode, and we thought that was so cool. We were hoping for there to be real duel arenas and such made. Not any time soon, just wanted to play on them. <.<;;
Anyway, i was hooked since the first *MIND CRUSH!* episode... <.<;; we went out and got both of the decks, dueled each with them, etc. And from then on... well, yeah. owo;;
