AIM LOG for Wingu: Played by Seaki and Mashaka: Played by nessiaing

It was early in the morning and Mashaka had wondered off a little, his sister and new mom were sleeping just on the other side of the forest line in a make shift den his mother had prepared for them. Mashaka had a feeling that he should be afraid and want to go back to his family but he had an odd sensation of happiness with his new mother something he didn't get when he was at home.

Mashaka was playing in a pile of dirt when he caught the sent of another creature. He stood up straight and the hair along his back went rigid. He was on gaurd now, afraid that perhaps it was someone from his family coming to take him back. He looked over his shoulder towards where his sister and new mother slept, could he make it back there before the creature he could smell found him. Of course at the time it didn't occur to him that the smell wasn't a familar one and therefore couldn't be a member of his family, but he was too bisy panicing to consider this.

Wingu gave a small yawn and kept walking. His paws hurt a bit, and he disliked traveling a bit. He missed him, and the trees. There were no trees here, save for the few scattered, and there was no thick water covering the ground. In short, he was homesick.

He paused in his walking to wonder how his siblings were faring on theirf search for a name. His own had not called to him, it saddened him. Would he get no name? He sivered in fear. He couldn't return without an adult name - it would mean he was remain a young one in the eyes of the pride forever. Pink eyes sparkled in shame at his lack of adult name.

The white pawed lion, however, moved on. He scented the air for prey or preadator - after all, when he returned he would become a hunter.

A lion? He tasted he air. Yes, a fellow lion! Not mature yet, but a lion nonetheless. He started towards the direction of the scent and spotted... A purple cub, and smiled.

Mashaka let out his breath when the other lion came into site. It wasn't a lion he had seen before, he began to feel a little more at easy. He didn't relax all the way however, perhaps this lion had been sent by his father, but then again wouldn't his father have chosen to send an adult lion in order to bring him and his sister home. Perhaps this was just a lion who lived in the area. Mashaka relaxed a little more.

"Hello" Mashaka said quietly, eyeing the other lion to make sure that he was no threat, he had thought if he called loud enough he would be able to wake the lioness who he was now calling mother.

Wingu shook his growing mane and smiled at the purple cub, his eyes slightly closed in happiness. He hadn't seen or talked to another lion in a while. "Hello," He said softly, in his low rumbling voice - it was deepening slightly as he grew.

He smelt the lingering fear curiously, though it was quickly fading. "I'm Wingu," He gave his child name, still ashamed of not being able to find it true name yet.

Mashaka settled more, this lion obviously meant him no harm, he seemeed friendly enough, and well truth be told he was interested in talking to someone other then the lioness who had taken his sister and him, and his sister. As happy as he was to be away from his family in general, he now was missing the friends he had made around his home.

"I am Mashaka" he said to the older lion. Mashaka was drawn to the other lions eyes, Mashaka loved bright colors and the lions eyes were super bright, even for Mashaka's standards.

Wingu gave a small smile when the faint scent of fear and anxiety faded to nothing. This is when he sat. He could at least talk to this little cub, so brightly colored. It was quite stunning. "Nice to meet you, Mashaka," He made sure to repeat the name in his head a few times to commit it to memory.

He gave a pause and blinked his pink eyes in thought. How would he ask the question he wanted to ask...

"Are you out here alone?" He questioned. It wasn't how he would have phrased it, originally, but he didn't know how to phrase it properly. He hadn't talked to a lion outside his pride yet.

Mashaka smiled at the older lion and sat down and studied the older lion before answering his question, "Technically I am not alone you are here." he said smiling knowing full well that that wasn't what Wingu had meant when he asked that question. He tilted his head and waited a second before proceeding with the real answer.

"My sister and uh mother are sleeping just on the other side of that tree line." he stuttered on the word mother... truth was the lioness he was travelling with wasn't his mother, it was just a lioness who liked his sister and him and took them from their family. His sister and him went happily enough though they didn't fell like any injustice was done to them. He looked at the older lion wondering if he had caught the slip up in his speech.

Chuckling softly at the cubs antics, he shook his head lightly. However, when the cub continued he gave a small nod. "I see," he let the small smile remain on his maw. He caught the small stutter, and his eyes dazzled in a faint curiousity. He didn't want to question it. It might be a painful subject or something.

"I'm assuming you didn't wish to sleep, then?" he questioned looking to the sky where a few clouds lingered. Clouds, his current namesake. He smiled. You couldn't really see too many clouds in the pirde's lands, it was refreshing. It wasn't like he hated his cub name.

"No it isnt that I didn't want to sleep I just woke up early." he said simply. He looked around him wondering if he could trust this older lion. He wanted to tell him his story, it was a good story and for once a true story.

Mashaka looked at the older lion, "Do you want to hear a story?" he asked feeling wierd asking someone older then him if he wanted a story told to him but Mashaka needed someone to talk to, and while this lion had come along, and it wasn't like he was going to admit he needed someon to talk to.

The older lion nodded in acceptance. It made sense after all. He grinned though, before he spoke. "Sure, I love stories," He gave his head a small nod as if to re-iterate what he just spoke of. He relaxed his body and his brown earthen ears flicked forward to listen to the cub's story.

Mashaka settled himself down right infront of Wingu, thinking about where he should begin. He decided the very beginning was a good place to start. "Well once upon a time." he started, he wasn't sure why people used once upon a time but his father said it to him everytime he started a story so he felt that was what one should do.

"there was a gray lion. This lion had travelled away from his home and met up with a lioness, things happened and a little while later a litter of cubs was born. There was seven cubs in this litter. When the cubs were old enough to not need their mother anymore they were split up. Two went with their mom and five went with their father back to his home." he paused to take a deep breath.

"When they arrived at this new home or old home depending on who you asked, the cubs were introduced to their fathers old friend and mate, they found out later she too had cubs inside of her. The cubs were told that this new lioness was their step-mom and that she would take care of them." there was a hint of anger in Mashaka's voice as he talked and he paused to get a hold of it.

Wingu listened intently, frowing. It was a rather sad story, he had to admit. He knew instantly that the little cub was talking of his own life. A small sad smile flitted across his face and he settled next to the bright purple cub.

Hesitantly, he gave the cub a small nuzzle in confort, or at least what he understood as comfort.

Mashaka loved that Wingu gave him a nuzzle, but being young he was still under the impression that perhaps Wingu didn't know the story was all about him. He took a deep breath and got ready. "After the cubs had been at their new home for awhile, their step mom gave birth to four cubs all boys. Sudenly all the adults time was spent on caring for the newest cubs. There was one cub, from the first litter who was particular bitter about this whole new family situation."

Mashaka's feeling were starting to get the better of him and his facade of the story not being about him was, "One day when the cub mentioned before was out playing with his sister, one of the few members of his family he liked a lioness neither of them new came along. Before long the cubs agreed to leave their family with this lioness. They left their family that day and have travelled with that lioness ever since. She was the first and only mother the cubs ever had." He looked Wingu, tears filling his eyes.

Wingu gave a deep frow and tried to find a way to comfort the small bright cub before him. He reached one white tipped paw to press the cub against his side and nuzzled the cub again. "That sounds horrible," he sympatized with the small cub - he never went through simething like that, even though his father didn't stay with them.

He didn't know what to say after that. "Are the cubs alright now?" He questioned?

Mashaka appreciated the other lions attempts at comforting him. Unfortunately Mashaka hadn't received attention like this before so he wasn't sure how to respond. "The cubs now? The cubs that left the family are very happy." Mashaka understood that perhaps it would be hard for other to understand why the cubs would be happy after being kidnapped from their family.

"The cubs didn't like their home you see, and now they are heading to somewhere new, some where that they will have a family, and a mother. These cubs had never had a mother you know." Mashaka wasn't sure if the other lion had ever experienced something like this but to Mashaka it was a new chances, a family a home.
