This is to those looking to join the Order of the Rose. No one who is not willing to join and abide by pack rules may post here. smile ]
She lowered her head, drinking from the waters of the creek that wasn't far from home. She loved it here, and she was excited to eventually become the guardian to these beautiful homes. She smiled, her eyes lighting up as her thoughts drifted to what it would be like.
Fantasia, the strong and her, the brave. She would have happy followers, she just knew it. She couldn't wait for daddy to return with the mornings meal. Mother despised the forest, and he could catch the best prey there.
She smiled, and sat in a small clearing of grass, where the trees did not blanket the earth. She waited now, as Fanta had told her he would be bringing others by. She knew that her friend Anoop would be here.. She had met him the other day, and had become incredibly fond of the singing male.
So now she just had to wait for it all to come together.

Finding a home was not on top of Shiloh's priority list. She'd been a loner all her life, and as hard as it was, she was doing pretty well. No, what Shiloh seeked was a purpose. Often she asked herself what she was doing with her life, wondering if there was something better she could be doing than wandering all over Telk.
Light footsteps carried the femme through the trees. The nice day drew Shiloh from the shadows of the forest and into the sunlight. She could hear water nearby, and the light grew stronger until finally the trees seemed to stop, and she broke into small grassy clearing. Not far from where she arrived was another female. She seemed relaxed, but the shy Shiloh stayed back, thinking about what to do. Should she go say hello or keep going? As she thought she stood still, and didn't say a word.

Fantasia had dallied that day, uncharacteristically. He had to make sure the white rose he had plucked was still alive and well, nestled in his part of the den within the soil. He had brushed his pelt against other local varieties of the same color for some time now, hoping that he could carry seeds back to plant and grow a minor colony of the white roses near his bed. As it was he was beginning to see green poke through the soil, and this satisfied him.
Panting slightly in his jog to return to his sister, he lifted his head and called, "Tera? I'm coming over." He could still scent her near, but another's was mingling with it, not one he knew previously. Perhaps Terabithia had already begun recruiting? He broke into the clearing, spying both his sister and a gray stranger who did not look as if she was meaning to run in on others. "Sorry I'm a little late. Is this a friend?" he asked Tera.

Mother had always told him what happiness was like for her, living with Tristan and having puppies...that was the life Jenna chose, the direction in which her instincts led her; but what was it to Allister? Back then her stories would lull him to sleep, driven by a dream that compared to his family's. Now, those same dreams were obscured, translation lost in newly formed attractions and even with all the knowledge one could consume, and Allister had, he couldn't quite grasp the concept.
He grew tired of his confusions, and lately began to walk off the tension. With no one to return to and no where to go, Allister would venture out further from the neutral, rogue territory and into sites that were banned to outsiders. It was curious, but he never ran into a member of any particular pack...just seemed to pass just in the nick of time. He preferred not having to explain himself or exert energy in running away; it was simpler just going about business unnoticed.
His thoughts were clouded now with all the conflicting memories, leading him blindly to the pasture where a bright future may be had. Drawn to echoing voices, Allister was struck with reality when his nose burned from the different scents, his eyes holding three separate wolves all capable to see, and hear him. Things were usually bad on a regular basis for very simple reasons, but today would be one of the worse if he were intruding on private matters.
"Oh my," he chirped, dropping the worry with some ease. He spoke surely, drawing his ears forward to capture anything whispered or said aloud; but he was startled, and through the strong greeting there rested trembling energy. "My apologies for intruding if I have."
Paws were then positioned firmly, Allister craning his neck to test the air appropriately. Two of the wolves looked similar, both having flowers somewhere on their bodies, and could possibly be siblings while the third girl [who was older] was likely just as foreign as he was. The females were lovely in a sense, the blue child's floral patterns like living blossoms, twinkling against the backdrop while the other reminded him of a crisp, glorious winter morning. (particularly, those days spent well fed and warm) The tan of the male's fur caught Allister's attention the most perhaps, though he had to deny himself the satisfaction of staring. If only to make things seem fair in his own right mind, he gave the handsome teen a once over briefly.
"Was I?" Intruding, he meant, smiling and allowing the soft curve around the ends of his lips ripple nervously.

There was a fifth wolf approaching the clearing. If she had been able to hear the voices, or caught their scent, she would have turned back immediately. But she was traveling from a different direction from the others, away from the scents they left and trees blocking any hint of their communication. So Willow kept going with no idea that she was about to stumble right into the midst of a group of wolves.
It had been a long time, much too long, since she had spoken to another wolf. She was shy, but worse than the gray female that had entered first. Willow wasn't just uncertain around strangers, she was downright afraid of them. So when she broke from the cover of the trees just after Allister spoke, Willow immediately froze like a deer caught in the headlights. She ducked down submissively, her whole underfed body quivering and her tail tucking firmly to her belly. It had been so long since she'd met anyone, so being faced by 4 strangers all at once was more than enough to overwhelm her.
"I'm s-sorry... " she said softly, glancing at the others around her. Two of them, a male and a female, weren't quite full-grown, but she could tell by the way they held themselves that they were the top wolves here. There was a gray female too, who seemed apprehensive, but not fearful as she was. And another male who looked like he had just stumbled into the clearing too. Maybe they hadn't noticed her after all. Her voice was so small it wouldn't have been a surprise. Willow slunk back a little, like she was trying to disappear.
Shiloh had remained still until Fanta pointed her out to Tera. This seemed to thaw her limbs and she took a few steps forward. She was interrupted by the entrance of Allister, speaking surely though there were hints that he was a little bit nervous. Then emerged Willow, who apologized and seemed try and merge with the earth around her. Shiloh had to blink a little, wondering what she had gotten herself into. Or had she stumbled into the clearing along with all these strangers by some kind of a twist in fate. Either way, there was no turning back now.
"I also apologize for intruding," Shiloh finally said, glancing at Allister a moment. "This clearing seems very popular," she finished more cheerfully, a hint of a smile passing her lips. The two teens who obviously knew each other and seemed related, were intriguing her. Tilting her head to one side curiously, she waited for them to speak.

Numair had been traveling far, searching for those legendary type knights he had always heard stories about form his father. He had decided it best to follow his heart and do what he believed were ideals worth fighting for. It had been hard, begging his father to let him find his own way at such a young age, and telling his sister he had always been so close to goodbye. The young one knew he would see them again, but also knew it would not be for quite some time… he needed to find out who he really was.
The intricate ties within his family and the ideals that his father and mother used to make themselves and their children happy. But ever since meeting that strange female pup Faela in the surrounding woods around his old home… Numair found he needed something in his life, something to call only his to make him happy.
So that was what brought him to the edge of the clearing where he stood now, listening cautiously to the adults introduce themselves to one another cautiously. It seemed all had stumbled upon each other accidentally, just as he had. But still he was looking for something like this, ready to be swept off his feet with an adventure and the romantic idealistic of what was to come.

She grew rather excited as she saw the different array of characters that were drawing together. She had never seen so many strangers in one spot, and she supposed it was because right now, they all had like minds. They wanted safety, same as she wanted.
She smiled, trying to look as friendly as possible, but when Fanta strolled up, she felt relieved, and released the breath she had been holding.
"Oh Fanta, You arent late. Im happy you are here though. Do you see them all? They are coming like fly to the flame.." She smiled, her voice soft.
She looked at the grey female, bowing her head in greeting, not wanting to scare the already spooked female off. Terabithia was not the type to hurt anyone, nor to scare them. She did her best to make herself as friendly as possible, though still keeping that proud stance.
The pretty male that showed next, was a mix of golds and reds, and she cocked her head smiling. What a pretty pelt he had, and he almost reminded her of a rose.. Her favorite rose that had yellow petals with the red tinged edges..making them look pink.
"You are not intruding, stranger." She smiled. "My brother and I are here, looking to band together a strong family of wolves.. Banding together to become a brotherhood, of the finest wolves in the area."
She smiled, and looked to the other that had approached. The creme and red female made her smile, and she walked over to her, to nudge her gently.
"Do not be afraid, We mean no harm." She calmed, and looked to Shiloh with the same loving smile.

At Tera's words he had to smile; ah, those had been coming out more than usual! He remembered on his solo trip that three had appeared to him. With two of the roses together, wolves came flocking; he counted two, three, four others coming across them! Even a pup had been attracted by their congregation! Fate indeed was having a paw in this affair if so many were appearing so quickly. Of course, perhaps this was only by accident or coincidence that they were meeting other wolves, ones that didn't neccessarily share their breadth of vision and were only passing through the same clearing . . .
But of course, Fantasia never believed in mere coincidence.
"We mean no harm," he echoed his sister with an affirmative nod, turning his head to look upon each of them in turn. "It's as my sister says. We look for brave souls seeking righteous housing, training, and the lifestyle of chivalry. Have any of you interest?"

Numair felt his face grow warm as he knew the older male had spotted him. The words echoed in his mind, safety, chivalry, a bond… it was all what he had imagined and more. Though there were not as many as he had imagined on his reveries it was damned close, all wolves with hidden backgrounds and mysteries, all joined together with one common purpose to protect the innocent.
“I for one am quite fascinated. In fact I set out to find something much like this…” the pup spoke out in turn, while leaving the shadows he had been partially hidden in. Though not quite as regal as the two leaders, obviously siblings, Numair had an air about him, one that had been there since birth. He was strange, never really needing to raise his voice to be heard though it was on the gentle side. He approached the two commanding pretences in the clearing as though out of instinct and lowered his head, giving room to those whom seemed skittish in their surroundings.
The small male had no apprehensions to what he was doing, and in all actuality was quite pleased about that. Many of his siblings had doubted his courage and ability to be on his own and swear loyalty to some group of warriors, which gave him doubts on his long journey but now that he was here… all those fears diminished under the peacefulness of the surroundings.

Oh what was she doing with her life anymore? Her father was dead, her brother was no place to be found. And River? Well she hadn't seen her since she had been a pup. She sighed feeling alone her big family had broken apart bit by bit; and loosing Diego had been her last tie to them. Sure he was crazy- but she loved her father threw and threw. At least he didn't mistreat her just because she didn't have a voice.
She cursed that too. Oh what it would be like to speak like the other wolves. She might even join a pack. But her voice was mute unlike her mind that seamed to wander. She needed to find a home. Her paw pads slowly walked toward where ever they would carry her. This was probally a bad idea considering who knew what wilds and danger were out there- expecially for lone wolves.
She was lucky then prehaps that the first group she wandered upon was the order of the rose. A group that seamed to want to make life eaiser for all wolves. And extremly well bonded group that would accept her for her silence. But she didn't know that as her nose quivered picking up the group beyond. 'Oh Dear...' She sighed to herself as her ears flatted agaist her head. 'I've wandered someplace that I shouldn't have...prehaps now silence will be a welcome retreat...just hope they don't come after me...' She gulped then flatted herself agaist the ground trying to slink past them without a sound. She really wished she was still with her father.

A life of chivalry? That appealed to Shiloh. It would be nice to get away from her mundane life and train to become someone more, someone righteous and good! She wagged her tail unconsciously as she thought about living her life to the fullest, supporting her packmates through thick and thin... And the folks, even the young pup, all looked like decent wolves too. She could imagine herself working alongside any of them. The gray femme looked at Fanta, the teen who held himself so confidently in front of so many strangers. "I for one am interested," she said quietly, "I would like to know more."
Willow had squeezed her eyes shut and only opened them when Tera came over and nudged her. She looked up at her with fear, but the fear ebbed away with Tera's smile and reassurance. Her body loosened, and she raised herself up from the ground, but her tail remained curled to her belly, ears flattened against her skull. She listened to Fanta's words, and thought about them, before shaking her head. What did she have to offer to these wolves? Nothing. All Willow wanted is a safe place to stay. She turned to Tera, so that her quiet voice could be heard by her. "I'm not brave or strong... I have nothing to offer to you," she said sadly. "I'm just looking for a place to stay, that's all."

The pup spoke older than his years, and she couldnt help but smile a bit and nod. "Then join, and we can band together to become one. Great protectors, and great strength." She said with a proud, strong voice.
But she turned once more, her voice growing more gentle as she looked at the creme and red female.
"You have to offer nothing. You offer your loyalty and your love. Thats all thats required of you." She replied, smiling and her heart fluttering a bit as Willow nudged her. She just knew this she-wolf would have more talent than she was giving herself credit for. She would gladly accept her. The pack was not about your talents, moreso about their strength.
She looked at Shiloh and gave a yip of pleasure. "Im glad to hear it." She was happy at the attention she had received today. She enjoyed being able to see all the new faces.
She looked to the one who lowered herself to her belly and slid over to them and cocked her head.
"Hello, there."

This was a motley group indeed, of various ages and backgrounds, yet they all shared a common interest. But this was surely a sign that Fate was blessing them well on their journey, and thus he felt himself confident enough to speak to them all in general; their luck couldn't have been better. Terabithia could handle each wolf individually for now, and thus Fantasia decided to address their goals to them all at once to keep their attention, speaking loud enough for even the new brown femme wandering past to hear.
"We are Terabithia and Fantasia, two of three born amongst the rosebeds. We seek to gather those who want order and safety, as we've mentioned. The Order of the Rose will be made up of warriors, healers, and defenders, as well as those who seek refuge. Know that we give no quarter to evil, traitors, and those who associate them; nor do we believe that any member of the family should be scorned. We work as one unit, one pack of several parts that intermingle and aid one another." As he spoke, Fantasia eyed each one of them in turn with a slight nod of his head.
"If you feel as though this is the pack for you, then take with you one of the roses from this bush," he said, and went right to illustrate the action. Bending slightly, his muzzle dug slightly into thorny bushel near him, not minding the slight cuts made by the thorns digging into his fur, and clipped a red rose off to show to those gathered. "Should you draw blood, know that it is your sign of loyalty to take on such oaths. We will offer you protection, a home, food, and a family: all that we ask in return is absolute fealty."
All he hoped now was that one of them wasn't blind and he had forgotten the fact. The last meeting ended somewhat sourly with a certain blue wolf whom he had perhaps offended with the offer of the rose, and he didn't want to make that same mistake again.

His head bowed to recognition, but as the conversation took some technical turns he grew silent and observant.
Fantasia and Terabithia, aye? The names would stick, so different in context than he was used to hearing. Beautiful, even, as he ran his eyes over the female and male who were in charge; fitting. It wasn’t difficult now to keep his focus on the male, finding his eloquence with speech more alluring now than the pretty fur that covered him entirely. It was normal, right? All the others were doing it too.
Besides that, Allister was…intrigued, to say the least, watching the youth speak and illustrate what it was that needed to be done. A pack, he mauled the thought over, was where he belonged; security, loyalty, friendship, the necessities of life. More wolves came from the thicket, asking questions or simply listening but all the while his eyes kept to the brown teen who, when seemingly prompted by his own will, plucked a thorny rose from the stems of a bush.
He was often a thinker, prone to filtering information, looking for the faults or holes that would cause harm to him or others but today, for whatever reason, Allister felt (irresponsibly) eager to comply. It was as if that supposed fate that everyone here felt was alive and wrapping itself around him. He was fated to stumble upon this clearing, meant to listen to the few words said and, he was meant to join.
The motions were clear, and Allister was the first to venture forward, approaching the roses strongly. His head bowed to the teen, looking for the mirroring stare that meant Allister had his undivided attention. “One rose.” His tone was soft, but meant for all to hear. Craning his neck forward, he slipped his nose in between the gaps and pricked both sides with the flower he drew out. The crimson signature trickled across his muzzle and drops fell to the earth gradually, while Allister spoke through closed teeth, “This is where I want to be.” Walking backwards and into an empty spot, he sat with rose in teeth, waiting for the rest to do the same.

She stopped in mid pawstep and listened to the alphas. Obviously they figured out where she was by the volume of the one speaking. 'At least they seamed pretty nice.' She debated moving on, but her paws turned towards the group and she slowly she gravitated to where the others could now see her. She dipped her head low respectful to the teens- even if she was many seasons older then them. She just really wasn't the alpha type or much of a fighter; So there was no need to keep her head craned above anyone, expecially these too teens- they seamed so...what was the word? 'Dignified'. Something that seamed so out of her reach with her voiceless wanderings.
She looked distantly to the rose bush. The pack sounded so appealing. Finally a safe place she could rest. But if she were to take a rose would the alpha's abandon her because she couldn't speak? She took a gulp and moved forward slowly. Her head was hung low and she tried her best to avoid everyone's eye contact. Her nerves were getting the best of her. She made a small shutter and plunged her head into the bush amasing her face is small scratches and a few deep cuts from carelessness. Then pulling the rose out quickly she quitely made her way to the furtherest corner of the party and just sat there with the rose in her mouth unsure what to do. She knew one thing- if she kept holding the rose nobody would ask her to speak. So thats what she would do.
