i dunno dude. sad i think the best you can do is stick to you conciensious objecting and do your part to be a proper soldier, instead of some military dog. you can't change the reason for the army from withing the military itself. you have to do it from within the government politics. and even that is gonna be tough. i've all but given up. my new angle is to either a.) create a seceding nation, or b.) form a subculture group or tribe, similar to 1r; bike clubs, and just rough it. though the latter would mean being rebels who are likely to get in trouble with cops, and teh former means requiring a standing militia and the ability to convince the U.S. not to just bomb us. xp

I am a sailor, not a soldier. There is a small difference. Haha. But I understand. I just believe even through all the bad recently in my life that people are still good and can change. I want to be the reason for the change

First: I've seen the Puppy Vid, most say it's fake.
Second: There are far worse things than what that video displayed, it's things that were not in that video that make me hate the military.
Third: The Sheepicide was the worst part in that.
Fourth: This is what happens when you lie to stupid young men, send them into a war zone with almost no training, and leave them there well past when you said they could come back. They get bored, they get angry, they do stupid s**t.
Fifth: Do you have any idea the number of Rapes & Murderers committed by enemy forces? That's the thing I fear most from the American Military, not some retarded jokes, you'll see that s**t in any fraternity.

a hero, by my definition, is anyone who's very presence is inspiring. who's words or actions or even just body language give hope to those who are arond them. a hero is a person who others look to and find themselves. someone that helps a person to discover their self-confidence. anyone who can do this, is by my definition a hero.

I like your definition Zachy. It is similar to mine. I just also believe that sometimes bad people are hero's because of the power they have to manipulate language.
and Killinger. I don't know what is fake and what is not. I won't claim to know, I am just a sailor not a person who points out things like that. Many things have made people hate us, but The good people in it are the ones who suffer not the ones who make everyone hate us. Some of the young men arent stupid, just lied to. THey have aspirations, and as langston hughes made a mention of dreams deferred exploding, so does moany people's anger.
As for the number of rapes, commited by the other side I have no ide. I have a guess to our side though.

Oh, and the reason I said it was fake is because the story is three years old, the Soldiers involved were harshly penalized, and the army revoked everyone's Youtube privileges to keep things like this from happening.
Most reported the video was faked as a joke, but they were still punished harshly.

O.oyeah i know... sweatdrop in truth, i do believe that Hitler was a hero. he just let all the power get to his head and went psycho half-way through, causing alot of havok in the world. even a villain is a hero to SOMEbody... same as a hero is automatically a villain to anyone opposed to the ideal that hope is given for. and i am about to make a very suspicious statement and ask that you do not get the wrong idea. while i am pro-slavery, considerably german/polish and 15/16th white, have a strong like for the swastika, and even sympathize for Hitler, i am in no way racist, and i burn with hatred for the Nazi Party at large and anyone of the Aryan Brotherhood or Neo-Nazi Gang. (though i understand that historically the majority of soldiers of the Nazi party joined more out of fear or desperation than racism.)
