I have read all but the last one. They were easy reads but still very enjoyable. I made my brother read them as well and he liked them too.

The books were very sweet, and quite different from Holly's other work I've read. I read them propped up on a couch all day after foot surgery. Once I finished them, my grandmother kidnapped them one by one, and finished them as well. I was quite surprised, and I suppose a bit delighted. I wish the open ended nature of book 5 would lead to a continuation in time as Holly and Tony's schedules allow.

I'd like to burn whoever is keeping the second book out of the library. scream I really liked the first one, but whenever I go to the library to see if the second one is in it's always out! I don't think I'll ever get a chance to read it.

my sister started reading that series and it seemed good (plus, I love any series with Chronicles in the name) so I've started reading it. I stopped a while ago but I think I'll start reading them again soon mrgreen

I'm a huge fan of Holly Black, so as soon as the library got the Spiderwick Chronicles, I checked 'em all out. I like them. I'm fascinated by the more traditional faeries, the nasty ones that run about causing mischief or even attacking humans. I'm hoping to buy the field guide that corresponds with the series; the library has it and it's got wonderful illustrations and descriptions of different types of faeries. It even includes kelpies and gargoyles, much to my delight.

they were great, but too short emo
I origionally read them just to pass the time, not thinking much of them (because of their size), but I found my self inexplicitly drawn into them
