Suzu stretched softly and looked around, before ditching her twin brother yet again for a day.
She trotted out to the mud and waded out humming slightly before she took to the logs walking across them looking for new friends. She took time to sharpen her claws and then pranced along wondering who she'd find to meet up with next.

Dusan had escaped, yet again, from his entire family's watchful eye. Sometimes being watched so closely was constraining and made him irritable. He didn't let that show, oh, no. Because that's not how Dusan did things. The blue cub simply let it all pile up inside until he had to run away from it all. Thus, what he was doing now.
Tromping through the shallow murky waters near his den, the male was already muddy and mucky looking. His fur was heavy with the weight of wet mud that was slipping down his defining muscles of his legs. Every lion here had good leg muscles because they had to navigate the swamps. That was one reason the violet eyed male adored this place. It made you stronger without you noticing it.
Thinking back, Dusan remembered the first day he had to follow his mother. It was the day he'd first heard her voice. A day that he would remember the rest of his life.

Suzu thought she saw another male, about her size, and she cracked a grin. Going into stalker mode she was going to catch him by surprise, after all he looked like he'd be fun to play with.
When she go up close enough she aimed a tackle at him, "Boo~!" She said grinning having let herself tumble away from him a bit before standing up and shaking her fur, from her brother she /knew/ guys like to play rough.
"Wanna play?" She asked tail flickering swinging some mud around, and grinning. As she stood in spot ready for a repercussion of a tackle from the male or something else just as fun.

He didn't dodge. Dusan wasn't even paying attention before he heard a voice and something collided into him. He 'oofed' and landed in the mud on his side, coating that side even further. When that weight got off of him, he got back up on his paws and shook himself off, hoping to flick mud at whatever had tackled him.
Finally, Dusan let his eyes adjust and then found it was a female! Did all females like to play rough? Snorting mud out of his nose, he tilted his head and watched her carefully.
Play? Playing didn't involve tackling, did it? "Uuuhm.... Sure, but... what do you want to play? What is your name, before anything else?" He wasn't sure if he should be mad at her for tackling him, but she didn't seem mean.

Suzu paused, "Ohhh yeah, my name's Yuki Suzu." She chuckled and wagged her tail, "You're not going to tackle me back?" She asked ears perked and head tilted.
"My brother does speically when I surprise tackle him." She paused when the part of the question what do you want to play. She sat down and looked at him head tilting. "What do you mean what to play?"
She looked confused at him games to her were rough housing and exploring. "I mean I know there's rough housing and exploring...." She paused, "And you seem not to be interested in rough housing since you didn't tackle me back." Her tail flickered curiously looking at him.

"W...why would I tackle you back?" He asked, tilting his head to the side as he watched the pretty girl. Really, besides his sisters, she was the first swamp cub he'd seen! It was a real treat for him; making him willing to do just about anything to keep her close for a while to play and talk with! "I rough house with other boys. B-but I guess I could.... if you wanted. We could wrestle around in the mud for a while! Then we can go exploring?" he was trying to make amends.

Her tail flickered looking at him, head tilting carefully to inspect him. "I figured all boy's liked to rough house. My brother does."
She tilted her head, "Huh.... how many other family members do you have?" She asked curiously, "I just have myself, my brother, and my mama."
Suzu's eye's brightened at the fact he seemed to be willing to explore. "Hehe lets explore~ It's no fun to rough house if you're expecting the start." The Light pelted female looked around. "Wonder which way we should go..."

"I've got momma, and two brothers... and two sisters!" He listed off happily, grinning a bit. "Then I got uncle, his mate! And.... then the one who gave momma her new name, unless that's the same..." Dusan had to stop and think a moment. Just how big was his family? It was a serious question the male had to think about. Tail thumping, he tilted his head in concentration.
This female seemed to know all of her family. Dusan should know all of his! That was his next goal. Talk to his momma and ask her how big their family was. Who knows? Maybe they were connected to kings of other prides!
"Explore?" Dusan tilted his head to the side and pondered on that. They should learn their pride! "You're right, Suzu! Let's go learn our pride!" And he took off in a random direction. Males went ahead of females in case of danger, right? Right. So that's what he was doing. He was going to protect this pale lioness with his life!

Suzu followed him, and tried to stay close to his side.
She chuckled. "Oh lets just not go into the dark parts yet.... Me and Tahki had went that far but we decided to avoid it till we were a bit older in case no one else went that way and we happened to get stuck in the mud."
Her tail flickered as she followed him and pondered curiously. Looking him over and then tilting her head, "Hey do you know a Tana!?" She asked suddenly. As she trotted along beside him and paused looking at a butterfly.
"Oh lookit this.... uh...." She paused looking at Him, "You still haven't told me your name."

The name of his sister didn't even register in his brain as the pretty little lioness spoke. So don't go into the dark parts? But he was almost big! Puffing out his chest, he turned his head to the other and gave a big huge grin. "I'm big enough to protect you! Don't worry. We won't go to far into the dark parts. Then he blinked. He asked for her name but didn't give his own? How rude! "I'm Dusan! ...I don't know if you can shorten it, but if you can, well.... You're pretty smart!" It wasn't an insult, just some people wanted to shorten his name but he never found a way that was good enough and that he liked.
Still, he walked on, avoiding the dark parts like Yuki had instructed despite what he'd told her. Honestly? Dusan was a big fraidy cat when it came to terribly dark places. Often times he finds himself hearing things that aren't really there, or reading to much into the leaves rustling or the water splashing. Whatever, she didn't need to know that!

Suzu followed him chuckling, "AHH!!! DUSAN! Pretty name, What about San, or Dussy, not really a shorting but fun to say." She chuckled as she followed him and sniffing around looking for stuff.
"I wonder what kind of treasure we could find today." She was sniffing around, pausing, "Dusan~! Lets go this way!" She pointed off towards a branching right, her tail flickered softly and grinned, "Maybe there's something fun that way?"

The dark lion jumped as she yelled and tried to shorten his name. The only response he gave her was a weak chuckle. Those names wouldn't stick, which is why he went with Dusan and nothing else. Looking to the direction she pointed, he nodded. That seemed like a good way to go; about as good as any, anyway. "Alright! Let's go then!" And off he went.

Suzu followed and chuckled as she did, hoping some times on trees and sometimes in the mud. "What do you think we'll find? Mice maybe?"
Her tail flickered, she knew the last time was just luck that her and Tahki had killed those mice. But practice makes perfect right? "Do you know how to catch mice?" Her tail flickered as she looked with her tilted curiously.

"Of course we'll find mice. Mice are crawling around the pride," Dusan said matter of factly. Nodding his head sharply, the male sniffed around on the ground to make it look like he knew what he was talking about and doing. Did he really know if mice were around? No. Did he know how to catch a mouse? No. He just wanted to impress a girl, so he'd lie about it.
"I'll catch you a mouse. A big one! So big it'll fill you up. I'm an expert mouse catcher."

Suzu looked at Dusan and blinked, "I forgot about that..." She said softly as he continued to talk. Her snow white tail flickered casually.
One ear perking up when he said he was an expert mouse catcher, looking at him curiously. "Okies!" She said after a second a nod and slight excitement brewing in her mood. "Lets go mouse hunting!"
