Name: Iathe
Age: 17
Sex: Female
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual, but not interested.
Craft: N/A
Rank: Weyrbrat
Physical Description: Fairly tall for a woman, Iathe is slim and somehow lacking in more the alluring curves that every other woman seems to have. Her face is well shaped and delicate, her chin a little too stubborn and her hazel eyes normally narrowed in thought. It gives her a cool, calculating look, and for all her pretty features, she's learned how to sneer in a very ugly way. Her hair is a dull brown with its fair share of blonde sun-streaks, and is always carefully braided and kept out of the way. it isn’t unusual for people to dismiss her as just a pretty face. Her eyes are a bright, often thoughtful hazel with flecks of green-gold. Iathe dresses in a surprisingly plain fashion, but always with the trademark purple bandana tied around her waist like a sash. Rumor has it she’s so disgusted with the way Theron prances around in his garments that she makes a point to keep herself simple. Any wherry can prance and look pretty, but it’ll never be anything more than a wherry!

Personality: To put it lightly, terrifying. Iathe fears no one, and demands respect as though she’d invented the thing. Unlike the usual puffed up princesses, however, she has plenty of ammo to back her up; cross her and she won’t think twice about heading straight to her father, the Candidatemaster, to see if she can’t get the individual in question kicked right out of the Weyr. She’s learned the hard way that the only way to survive in Igen and come out on top is to fight dirty, and that’s what’s made her so efficient as the leader of Sandstorm.

Though she appears to some as the lazing, scathing ringleader, Iathe believes fully in working hard to get what she wants and encourages the other members of Sandstorm to do the same. Slackers won't be tolerated, and she can be just as harsh to her fellows as she is the other gangs. Still, despite her brusque, snappish ways, she holds a very deep fondness for those who support her and stand by her side, and hopes that if all goes well, they can be rewarded as well. What she sometimes lacks in elegance is made up for with her charisma and passion, and though she can come off as the meanest tunnelsnake that ever lived, she does have a good heart. She just can't afford to show it, most of the time.

Iathe isn't afraid to use what resources are available to her if it means she can stay one step ahead of that Theron and Fanigan, and has woven her father tightly around her finger for exactly that reason. She has a need to keep things uniform and in order, and makes a point that her fellows follow suit. While the Flying Wherries are an exasperating lot, for sure, she tends to dismiss them as a minor irritation rather than an actual threat. Rising Sun, however...? Well, she herself will try to cause as much hell as she can to dear Theron's gang. She does have an unfair advantage against the other factions; should they even so much and lift a finger towards her, she can and will see if she can’t get them chucked out. Oh, she needs evidence of course... but Iathe is clever, and despite her seeming impatience, she can lie in wait for as long as necessary for ample opportunity to pop up.

History: She grew up without ever knowing her mother, not unlike most Weyrbrats. Said mother had been a greenrider, apparently, stopping at Igen for some business or another, and had been forced to stay for longer than she’d expected. Her green had risen and been caught by bronze Kakanuth—her father’s dragon. Though her mother was a flighty creature, T’ai had taken a special interest in his daughter and made sure to visit her often. As such, Iathe became a little spoiled by his attentions—and had quickly learned that her father was willing to do almost anything in his power to please her.

As she grew older, her hatred for the reigning family of Igen forced her to consider the possibility of trying to Impress to a Queen and changing things herself. It was then that she struggled to create a new gang to try and control things, and luck would have it that she managed to convince Alrain into aiding her cause. Just as he wanted to gain back the status his father had lost, she knew he could use his ambition and perhaps, together, they could rule the Weyr.
