Venicia rustled about the room making sure everything was set for the evenings entertainment. The Wait staff was putting the finishing touches on tables, the fish bowl centerpieces complete with exotic beta fish in multi-hues.
She looks around. Now if she could just Find Wisenheimer ( boy had his parents named him properly. she thought)" sigh" He was a smartypants, Prankster and a lousy waiter but one heck of a stand up comedian. In fact she would fire him if his shows weren't so popular. plus he was late again. she called out " Has any one Seen Wisenheimer!"
Just then the slacker saunters in
" yo here, haven't let you don yet have I? don't answer that" he chuckles.
"what can I do for you boss lady"

 Alanna strode into the room, elegant and softly sauntered over to Venicia. "Hey, hey! Venicia" she said happily as she sauntered over to her. Her tail swishing to and for idly "what do you want me to do?" she asked

"Finally someone i can rely on" She smiles and gives Alanna a quick hug" can you supervise Wisenheimer and make sure he gets in at least one full rehearsal of his comic routine before the Dinner hour starts. I have to check with the stage hands about the lighting and back drops and props and he was late again so i am behind schedule . sigh at least the tables are already set and ready to go."
Wisenheimer: "Now theres a plus I hadn't counted on" he winks at Alanna

"of course..I'll supervise him" she said before glancing at him briefly then back at Venicia "alright..give me a shout if you need help with something" she told her. Looks around "and you did a good job" she fnished with a smile.

" thanks Alanna I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't recommended me for this job. I get to stay on permanently if I do a good job on this cruise but most of my shows got interrupted what with the ship breaking down , the injured Mer and the Sick child..." hugs Alanna once more before running off towards the stage calling out directions" no left stage left he enters from the left and goes down on the right"
Wisenheimer: "Looks like it's just the two of us sweet stuff" he places a foreleg across her shoulders in a casual nonchalant way and grins at her."

Alanna looks at Venicia "no problem" she said and shrugs out of Wisenheimer's grasp.. "uh huh lets just keep it strictly business" she said before putting a slight distance between them. "now ..if you don't want to get fired..do what your suppose to do and go rehearse" she told him before sitting down on her haunches.

Wisenheimer " Vanny is cool and all I can tell your friends but shes such a stick in the mud. You really cant rehearse stand up its all done on the spot you gotta feel the audience or you just come off like any ole caned comic. she just doesn't get that. the show will be fine. lets you and I have some fun" he grabs and starts Juggling a couple of the expensive center Pieces " say Doll" glances at her name Tag " Oh my bad Alanna, I'll call you doll your names ok but Doll face suites ya better, anyhow Doll what do you get when you cross a mer with a sea?"

"oh i don't know...a seapony" she answered before making a face as he juggles the expensive Centerpieces. "Venicia is not a stick in the mud..she's doing her job like she's suppose" she told him defending Venicia since they were BFF.

Alanna gasps as he almost drops them, "ahh! put those down" she said rushing and diving catching them and stood up putting them back. "if you want to juggle something, juggle something that won't break and isn't expensive" she shot at him.

Chuckles "I wasnt really going to drop them... havent you ever seen my act?"
pats her head "now that was funny" and he pulls another center piece from behind his back. grins at he "here catch this one makes like he is gonna toss it but then doesnt ans sets it back on the table instead.

"no..I haven't I've been doing my job...like i'm suppose to do" she said "so I don't pay attention to the entertain" she said snorting a bit "if you don't take me seriously then i'm going to go see Venicia" she said before turning and heading towards the stage.

Wisenheimer grabs her hoof and tugs her back. "sorry i just cant help myself i mess with everyone, it is what makes me a good comic. and seriously i don't normally rehearse because my act is all spontaneous." he is serious even subdued as he says this.
