Story:
Zack again manages to resurrect the old Zavk island that sunk from the previous game thanks to the volcano. Again he sends out invites of holding a tournament and tricks the girls again(?!) into coming to Zack island. After arriving they all stay for 2 weeks time again.
Gameplay:
Just as DOA xtreme 1, when you're on the main screen you can choose which girl to begin the game as. The girl then meets up with a random character who you can either partner with or reject (no choice 1st play through but the 2nd time you have a choice)
Volleyball Games:
Must have a partner. You can partner with any other DOA girls. However first you have to gain their liking so there friends and will join you in games. Doing so in this game for rival characters is a bit tougher than the 1st game/requires more work. Winning helps the characters like you more as well as giving them gifts. Losing too many times can decrease your partners liking of you and make them leave you quickly.
You can tell their feelings by the character pic. They have 'like', 'dislike' 'confident'.
This also determines how well they play with you as before.
Various Moves:
You can surf (2 ways), Spike, tap, pass, block, save in the game.
Giving Gifts:
You can give gifts to over girls. Giving gifts increase their liking or dislike towards you, which allows you to later partner with them or even receive random gifts from them. Some characters like more things than others. Some even really dislike certain items. In DOA extreme 2, it's not so easy as the previous games. Now it's not color coded anymore and girls like certain random gifts more than others. Gifting can also be harder b/c it takes a while longer now before a girl will partner with you.
Shopping:
You can buy swimsuits, accessories, and random items (located at Zack of all trades). All of these items when purchased can be kept for your character or be gift wrapped upon purchase for another character. Even after you open a gift you can take it back to a store and have it re-gift wrapped. Player can choose gift-wrap color and choose which item in your inventory you would like to re-gift. Re-wrapping items cost 1/2 or what the item price is.
Pool:
When you have nothing to do and want to make some DOA money to purchase items you can visit the pool. Here you can see cut scene events where your character relaxes or you can play 'pool hop'. Sometimes other characters may be there and you can verse them. Now the hopping game has been enhanced or tweaked. It's not so easy as just pressing one bottom to hop from one to another. It's color coded now. So you have to press red/yellow/blue/ or green. The pool area also now has a...water tube? or slide game you can play with your character.
Random areas:
There are certain places on the island that you can play volleyball with other characters in. Sometimes these areas are empty or have a random girl there. If they're empty you can vie a cut-scene with your character there. If there's another girl there you have a choice to gift her or request to be partners. Some other games now include Marine Racing, Beach Flag, Butt battle (-_-), and Tug o' War.
Hotel:
At the end of the day (Game phase is: Morning/Afternoon/Evening) you should see this as the only available option at night. Player has a choice of:
*Playing at the casino/pole dancing (secret event?)
*Seeing/placing items in your inventory
*Watching videos (random gifts from Zack)
*Collect gifts (from zack randomly or girls)
*Go to bed (this starts the next day
*Leave Zack island (this is only available on your 2nd playthrough. You can leave early and play the game as another character instead of having to finish 2 weeks with the character you currently have)

Kasumi- Run-away ninja.
Ayane- Rival of Kasumi. Her 1/2 sister.
Christie- Assasin who partispated in DOA to kill Helena.
Helena- Daughter of the owner of DOA tech.
Lisa- Friend of Tina and Zack's current girlfriend.
Tina- Friend of Lisa and wrestler wanting to be a model.
Hitomi- Energetic karate girl.
LeiFang- Tai Chi master.
Rate: 4/10
The Bad:Wasn't so great as the first one. They included a lot of extra things which weren't so great and rather boring sometimes. What was the hip/butt battle game?
The volleyball game wasn't so great either. The Ai's were terrible and the characters just got mad and left way too easily after losing. If they hate you it was almost impossible to increase their liking for you back b/c they played simply terribly. Not even trying!
Characters were more of a pain to give gifts too. It was easier when it was a bit more color coded and rival characters hate each other faster if the friendship dropped just a bit.
The girls were so skimpy. They always were I mean but now it was simply too annoying to ignore. The whole AI in the breast idea was perverted and so unrealistic as well. They moved very irregularly even when you weren't moving. It made team ninja look even more perverted (Itagaki always appeared perverted and weird) with the whole secret cut-scene where a girl can do a pole dance. What were they thinking? It was odd enough having teenage Kasumi (17 year old) wearing very odd clothes let along bikini's that show her body. But now you have the ability to make her pole dance? (Thus they never put her age in the western version but in japan she's 16 or 17.) This game unlike the 1st one is not worth the buy unless you just want to try it out for a bit for volleyball they it's ok if you can stand the bad graphics/anatomy.
