Days in Kunanda drifted by in a sort of haze, at least for the gasht daughter of Tejasvi. Izumi spent more and more time, as she grew older, lost in the dream land in her mind. She'd made it perfect down to the last detail and populated it with interesting creatures, and it was far more comfortable and interesting to spend her time there than worrying over reality. The pride itself offered protection and any food or shelter she need. Her family was here too, and the few friends she'd managed to pick up. But... there was nothing tying her here. She might miss one or two things, but on the whole, it was just a place, if a familiar one.
That was part of why she was out wandering today, humming to herself as she wandered outside the borders of the pride. She was only half aware of where she was, enough to not get lost, but she'd already gone farther than she had at first intended. Blue paws patted the earth lightly, almost delicate in their movement. Izumi hardly considered herself 'feminine', but there was a bit of unconscious grace to her, an elegance that came from genetics and instinct rather than learning. She knew, in the back of her mind, that she could be a great beauty if she tried, but it was just another part of reality that she just didn't much care to actually work for.

Jowls of a hunter opened with a yawn as his hind rose in an arch into the air as claws dug into the earths flesh in a kneading fashion as he stretched.
Shaking his golden male, he glanced around for a moment. He was traveling further, and further into the depths of the land than he had before, the heavy scents of a near by pride kept him on his toes. No one was going to accuse him of trying to lure away someone elses lionesses.
His gait was a bit heavier than most, he was a big lion. Living off the land, in life style of many different creatures had caused him to grow a bit on the large size, he wasnt fat by any means.
Golden orbs shifted as he continued on his way, though the scent of another was begining to grow closer.

The weather, such as it was, remained pleasant, though the lack of clouds would make for a rather under-dramatic sunset later on. Didn't much bother Izumi, though. Even if she couldn't entertain herself with clouds, the warmth from the sun was pleasant, and the shade around her was easy to find if she got too hot.
Which was why the blue lioness found herself settled in the shade of a low tree, stretched out in the sun-dappled green grass. Enough walking, for now. Dreams called to her, beckoned her to just let herself relax and let go...
Gold flashes moved at the corners of her vision, specks of black swirling around them to fade in a soft purple and the half-formed impression of feathers. Izumi had no idea what the purple-and-feathers was... she'd seen it a lot, when she care to remember, but could never place it to another lioness, or lion for that matter. The black and gold was new, though... but it didn't really matter. Pictures were forming and she smiled a little as she watched this show that only she could see. She was unaware of time passing, of the sun dropping down in the sky. Time enough to head back when it was setting, there was no need to break loose of her comforting dreams so soon.

The movement of the shades of blue were a bit hard for him to miss, his keen hunters eyes went to her almost instantly, a seemingly lone blue lioness who appeared to be lost within her thoughts.
His head tilted a bit, he sniffed at the air, she was mighty close to the pridal direction of those several different scents mingling together, his ears flickered for a moment.
Since when had he not spoken to someone that caught his attention? A pride or not, his paws carried him onwards, closer to her, close enough for him to see the spots that were covering her coat and the earthy, almost moss green eyes that seemed to be lost in a day dream.
He cleared his throat a bit, "Excuse me, Miss?"

Izumi startled when she heard someone speak to her, pulling her roughly out of her day dreaming and into the harsh-edged reality. Her head whipped around as her ears flew up, a rather surprised look on her face as she pushed herself up to sit, staring at the black and gold male that had joined her.
"Oh, um... yes?" She mumbled, her voice catching as she layed her ears back, almost looking torn between curiosity and embarrassment. Such a conflict of emotions... she was a little dazed under it all, still struggling to separate herself from her dream world.
Who was he? Where'd he come from? He'd just appeared so suddenly, she'd half thought he was just part of the dreams, like that swirl of black and gold before... Huh. Izumi had never really connected her dreams to the real world before, and it teased at the back of her mind, though she was far more interested in this stranger than a stray thought right now. Questions buzzed in her head and she scuffed her paw in the dirt, trying to cover her bewilderment.

When he saw that he'd startled her, he bowed. "Please accept my apologies, I did not mean to interrupt you. Or scare you for that matter even more so." He said as he lifted his head and watched her, many silent thoughts running through his mind.
"Might I ask what pride claims these lands?" He was finding prides all over the place now a days, and to add to his mission of seeing all of the land, he now wished to learn about any prides that he came into contact with.
He watched as an onslaught of questions seemed to dance in her eyes, though since none of them became vocal, he'd no true idea of what they were. His shoulders rolled a bit, he'd been exploring for days and his body was a bit baffled by the sudden pausing in this.

The blue lioness shrugged her shoulders as she ducked her head, watching her paw as she traced little patterns in the dirt.
"Don't worry about it, its not a big deal. I'm easily startled, I guess. It happens." She offered him a tentative smile, hoping that was the socially correct thing to do. It wasn't like she spent a lot of time with others, so it was hard to really know what to do.
Izumi glanced up when he asked about the pride here, her pride. Now... did he want to avoid trespassing, or was he curious to meet them? Did he mean the pride some sort of mischief, or was he scared to meet any? Even more questions to add to the others, and she'd have blushed if she could have. Too many questions to think about, and already she felt something wavering in her mind, making her eyesight dim and change. Her dream world was calling, wanting to overlay the real world and pull her away from it, but... the real world was to interesting right now, with that black and gold male waiting for a response.
"Oh, um... Kunanda'Nakhun lives here." She said softly as she blinked at him, trying to clear her gaze.

"I do hope you do not take my curiosity for an ill intent for the pride." Xanthus added to his question, "I've been blessed with a thirst for knowledge and I like to learn about the different prides that call and share this land as their own. "
He watched her, there was a light, dreamer sort of air about her, and the flicker in the back of her gaze, made him wonder what she saw when she looked at him, or looked at anything else for that matter.
"What is special about the Kunanda'Nakhun that lives here?"

Conversing with this lion was... different than talking with someone from her own pride. For one, he didn't bow and scrape, or give her more respect than he would give one of his own gender. He didn't talk up, or even down to her, but treated her as an equal.
For that matter, he paid attention to her, something she wasn't really used to.
"Oh, um... I don't know, I guess." She said as she thought over his question, the visions fading away as her mind was engaged. Eyes now on the sky, she lightly flicked her tail against the ground. "I've never been outside, so I guess I don't really know what makes us special, or different from other prides. Are other prides different from us? Would the color of my pelt put me in a high station, or a low one? Would it matter if I was male or female? Would other females challenge me for my jihan, or not even know I had one?" She shrugged, again filled with questions. Was -that- what it was like outside the pride? A world full of questions and illusive answers? It was an odd and disconcerting thought. Izumi didn't like spending so much time pondering questions... it drew her away from her dreaming too much.
