To any wandering eye, the first glimpse of Claire screams “tomboy.” She gives the vibe of “petite” since she only stands at 5’2”. Unfortunately, she hides all of this with vibrant button-up shirts, unflattering skirts, a well worn long coat, and good sturdy boots. She always has a solid red headband that can be pulled onto her head or left loose around her neck. This is her “good luck” charm that she is never without even if it doesn’t coordinate with what she’s wearing.
Her dark mousy brown hair is cut short, almost pixie short, for easy care and is sometimes left product free or styled into something crazy and upbeat. Underneath the fringe (bangs) are light green eyes that shine with humor, like she’s got her own private joke the world doesn’t know. Her skin is tanned to a golden bronze from all of her time spent outdoors. She has a few moles on her arms when exposed (3 on lower, 1 on upper left; 1 lower right). On her left cheekbone is a thin, catlike scratch and just above that, near the corner of her eye is a small beauty mark.
Personality : She is a tomboy with an exuberant extroverted personality. She pretends the entire world is her own personal stage. Unfortunately for Claire, her over-animated gestures lead to disaster making her a klutz on her own feet and a hazard for those around her, except when she’s on stage.
It takes quite a bit to make her angry, but whenever she is it’s like the fires of damnation burn in her veins. She’s quick to apologize for her fiery frustrations though. Normally, she is quick-witted with laughter in the air and a bright smile. Why waste effort being sad or angry over things out of your control?
She tries to relay on herself only even though she’ll manage to get into some form of trouble that will force her to ask someone to bail her out of it. She tries her best to avoid trouble and bad karma and so seems very superstitious to others. She’s even scared of a few things, though she won’t ever admit to it.
But there is another side to this young woman which often leaves others to question if they’re talking to the same woman. She can be very attentive and well-focused on a current task that is often envied by others on the job. She is able to adjust into this distant persona when it’s crucial.

History : Claire was the second born into a happy and loving family in a colonist island just off North Kavata. She was an average student with nothing really special going for her, except her love of acting. Her parents doted on her and her sister, spoiling them by working around any activity they were a part of, driving Claire to auditions and rehearsals, or purchasing books for Alanna. But all of that stopped when their father became deathly ill from stomach pains and died. Stricken from grief, it was no surprise their mother passed away a year later. Both girls were sent to their grandmother, their last living relative, to cope.
It wasn't until after the girls had settled at grandma's that Claire's daemon began to manifest after she recovered from her shell shock two weeks after burying their mother. Much like the coveted bandanna Claire wears with her at all times, her daemling appeared with a badge as its prize possession.
With both girls having their own daemons for the first time, it was only a matter of time before scouts from Jaradin took the girls to the school to cope with their new found companion.
