Physical Description: With dark, sultry eyes generally lined with some sort of kohl, full lips, and beautifully arched brows, Al-Takiyah resembles the members of her father's side of the family, though most would proclaim her to honestly be the most attractive of the already appealing line. Her dark hair, eyes, hawked nose and somewhat strong jaw are the biggest of the similarities between herself, her sister and her father, wheras her ligher-tanned skin and body shape come directly from her mother.
Al definitely looks the part of a woman already, with full-breasts and wide-hips accentuated by a small waist. Average in height, her straight, black hair the length of her shoulder-blades is generally tied back in a loose bun, a few dark strands caressing high-cheekbones. The Candidate definitely knows she's attractive, and it shows in the confidence of her bold smiles, long looks and slow-placed stride.
Loving to wear beautiful clothing, and having the family and gang wealth to do so, Al-Takiyah is oft garbed in combinations of bright blue and orange, a decorative orange sash or scarf always on her person to boldy state her alliance.
Personality: Behind her beautiful face Al-Takiyah is just as clever, calculating, and patient as her father and sister. Her line has a tradition of playing second or background to those who want to 'run' things and she is no exception. Always planning ahead, like moves on a chess board, Al carefully evaluates all options behind her sensual smile before taking action. She is not brash, though she is bold, and the pretty young woman has spent her young life manuvering into a position of back up control and power.
Her moral discrepancy from her sister is a direct result of the social climate she's been raised in and she has no qualms about doing what she has to to get what she wants, and what will better her family line.
Charming, and appearing loyal without fault, Al-Takiyah is known to be just as uncompromising as Theron when it comes to other gangs, though some prefer his open hostility to her sweet smile and sharp tongue. Wise, Al is well aware that tables can turn at any moment and is never openly hostile to the point of reprimand. She is careful to avoid having anything directly pinpointed to her, and is fond of having others carry out her dirty work, which most are willing to do for the beautiful, persuasive young woman.
Al-Takiyah is all about finesse, not force.
History: From a long line of Bronze wingseconds and the occasional wingleader, Al-Takiyah is the youngest daughter of a Bronze wingsecond and a female greenrider. She has one sister, Hayat, seven turns her senior, who impressed to a dragon of lower color, and a half-brother, Yizhaq, on her mother's side two turns her junior. Her father's side of the family is currently allied with the Weyrleaders, and she is her family's chance to bring up their ranking in the weyr even further.
Yizhaq, also a Candidate, is of no concern to her father's family, which she identifies with, as he is the offspring of her mother and a glass-worker apprentice. He allies himself with the Flying Wherries and they have an extreme mutual dislike of one another.
As a child, Al-Tikyah received a high-level of education, in general studies, but mainly in Weyr politics. The apple of her father's eye, Al knows she's but a tool, despite his affection, and is more than willing to fufill that role. Her 'playmates' were carefully chosen for her, and she became a member of the Rising Sun as soon as she was old enough to toddle.
Now, she does her utmost to be an amused companion to and useful ally for Theron and other important members of the Rising Sun, and is instrumental in gathering information about the other gang's activities, as well as cutting their members down and quietly, subtly undermining their efforts.
The girl was raised to know the weyr like the back of her hand and is excited for the arrival of Favan and the possibility of a Queen Egg during her term at Candidacy.
Pets: It'd make sense for her to IC have a firelizard or two, however, until I get one OOC, none.
Other/Talents: If sensuality was considered a skill then Al-Takiyah would have it down. Other than that, the young woman has a not silver, but gold tongue, a talent for insight, and is very good at insulting others without anyone being able to call her out on it. She's also rather good at [due to practice and natural observational skills] finding firelizard nests, among other hidden things. Being an attractive young woman often garners unwanted attention, and at her father's behest, Al can handle a blade, and knows quite a few self-defense measures.
Will this character be a candidate? Yes, her family will want her on the sands when there's a gold egg.
