My grandmother passed away last week. And I guess I feel a little sad that's she's gone, but I didn't know her all that well. I'm not looking forward to the funeral at all.
Of course, I will go to pay my respects, but at the same time, it's going to be awkward seeing a ton of family members who I haven't seen since I was a little. (Most of them probably don't even remember me anyway.) And then there's the part where I have to shake hands, and possibly even hug, these strangers/family members who I barely know. I'm the kind of person who really needs their personal space.
I hope tomorrow goes by quickly and painlessly.

I'm kinda lucky that i know most of my relatives by seeing/hearing about them.
That's the same with me in my family. We keep up to date for the most part. Sorry to hear about your grandmother; may she rest in peace. On another note, I don't like funerals. They make me emotional, even if I don't know the person well. Seeing people sad and crying makes me cry too.

I don't feel awkward around my family at all. Well probably because I have a very small one. haha I've got my mom, my brother, and my grandma and that's it.

At my cousin's funeral, there were tons of people he knew that I didn't know, and those who I could recognize but never talked to. And of course, family members I never usually see. It felt really weird. :/

RIP to your grandmother. I don't know it feels to be at a funeral like that...but the last one I had to go to was for my best friend. Sooo....yeah...i'm typically always sad when funerals come around. Good luck going through with it...i can relate to being awkward around family. I have the same problem when it comes to family gatherings.

The funeral was about as much as I expected it to be. I was surrounded by a lot of overwhelmingly heartbroken people, and it was hard to handle, because I wasn't feeling the same way.
And then there was the random/awkward hugs from family members who haven't seen me since I was a baby...
I'm glad it's done.
