I guess taking suggestions about mainstream books truly isn't wise...
So I heard Wicked Lovely was a good book, I thought it was too since I love stories on fae, but I'm about 6 chapters in and I can't focus at all, its just boring D: I'm making myself get through it as it may get better but I personally just don't expect much from it at the moment (not trying to start things with people who do like it)...then again I think I'm comparing it to Tithe too much...

tl;dr/discuss:
Books you heard were good or you thought looked interesting but turned out to be the complete opposite when you finished/started.

Iv been hearing good reviews on this book to. Has anyone here read it so I can get some feedback on it becuase the people who are telling me this are in love with Twilight and are hormoanl teenage girls 14-16. Oh well their my friends what can I do? But seroiusly some feedback on this book would be great!

Oh nad lets see....um....oh I heard that Blue Bloods was good so i bought the first two but it ended up being a flop that was a pretty boring book. Dont buy it everyone it seriuously sucks.

I love Wicked Lovely! And I don't like Twilight, so there ya go ;]
But, what I'd say with Wicked Lovely is that you have to go in with an open mind. She stays with some of the Fae myths but differs some too.
My favorite thing about this book is that she falls for the human guy and not the fae. Also, the guy she loves actually deserves her love and loves her back. It might start a tad slow but if you get far enough along, it gets really interesting. I don't know what else you want to know. All I can say is it was worth the time to read.

A disappointing book I started to read (I didn't finish) was 'Hunger like no Other'. Can't remember the author.

Yea took a while to get into it, well about a quarter of the way through the book but still, I dunno I guess I'm used to reading darker tales, but still its a decent read. Yea its one of those popular young adult novels...
I'm trying to remember, theres this one book people loved but I couldn't get into...Well theres Cirque de Freak though I didn't really give it a chance...Oh and Twilight as well,(no offense to those who like it) I read it, before it was popular, and...I guess it just wasn't my cup of tea...
Ugh I can't remember the one I was thinking of anymore...

I remember about ten years ago when Harry Potter first hit the shelves. It was all the rave. Kids would sleep outside the bookstore the night before just to get a copy. My mom figured since it was so popular with the other kids that maybe I might like it. I tried reading it, I really did. But I just couldn't get into it. It bored me. It just wasn't as exciting as everyone made it out to be. I got so frustrated that I threw it in my closet never to be seen again. Though, I'm thinking about giving the book a second chance.
