Hailie sighed loudly. This was the second time she had been at the shop with Koala and still had no one to talk to about the fate of the ferment. She had her eyes locked on the kitchen door, as she naturally assumed that the staff were hiding in there. Maybe she could just leave him here. He didn't know the way to her house. How would he get there anyway? He was only 3 inches tall at most!
"Aw, Hailie!" Koala whined. He put a smile on his face and attempted to get Hailie's attention away from whatever she was thinking of. It was kind of creepy. She'd been staring at those doors ever since they got to the shop. "C'mon! Let's look around for some new friends!" He tugged at her jacket sleeve, then looked around the shop. His smile faltered when he didn't see his new friends from the previous time they were here. He still had a lot of questions to ask them... However, there must be more things like them and himself around. A trio isn't anything to get hyped up over. Unless... he thought to himself. It's the Three Amigos! "Hello? Anyone out there?" He called out.

"It's no use," Maggie said in an airy voice. "They won't come out."
Her head rested on top of her arms, which were folded on the counter. From behind, it appeared as though she was asleep on the counter, but from the side, it was obvious that she was watching two very small objects.
She giggled as Zuki 'tagged' (how a small blob with no arms could play tag was beyond her) Berry and then hopped away from her.
"Nuuuu! Come baaacccck!" Berry cried, trying to keep up with her brother, her dress swishing around her ankles.
Maggie stuck her hand in front of Zuki, when he neared to close to the edge.
"Aw moooom, don't be like that."

Koala heard an assortment of voices. Sounded like whoever it was was having fun! He hurried over towards the voices and found another giant and two more new friends! "Hi, there!" he shouted, waving like crazy. "My name's Koala! Can I play with you?"

"No!" Zuki cried, sticking his tongue out at Koala.
"Zuki!" Berry responded, her jaw dropping a little. "That's not nice."
"He looks like a ...like you!" Zuki said, as if that was sound reasoning for excluding him.
Berry tilted her head. "He does kind of, doesn't he?" she said. "But with no dress."
Maggie cleared her throat lightly, trying to bring the two back from their rather rude conversation.
"We can play, and ignore Zuki," Berry said. She'd been bored with just hanging out with her 'brother'. He was too much of an extremest.

"Hooray!" He cheered, jumping up in the air. Finally, some action! There was no one to play with back at home. "And don't be mad," He attempted to smooth things over. "I think..Zuki was just trying to make a comparison....Anyway, what will we play?"

"Well, we were just playing tag," Berry said. "Do you know how to play?"
Zuki had made himself busy hopping up onto Maggie's hand and jumping off, starting first at the tips of her fingers, then slowly moving up her arm to higher points. "I bet he doesn't. He's not cool enough to play tag."

"Tag?...um...no. I dunno how to play that, but let's play it anyway!" He was getting more and more excited. New friends and a new game? This was the best day ever! He pointed at Zuki. "Is that how you play?"

"See?" Zuki said, hopping from Maggie's elbow. "I told you he wasn't cool enough to know stuff about tag."
Berry shook her head. "No...I dunno what he's doing. He's kinda weird." She shifted back and forth between her feet, anxious to start running around again.
"What you do is, someone is 'It' and the person who's 'It' chases everyone else, and tries to tap them, like this." She tapped Koala lightly on the arm. "And they say 'You're It!' and the new person who's 'It' has to chase everyone around."

"I'm cool! Like an ice cube, baby!" Koala joked, then laughed.
"Tag sounds like fun!" He wanted to start playing now, but he wanted to make sure he knew everything. "So, does that mean we're playing now? And that I'm 'It'?"

"If you want to start out as It, you can," she said. "I was just showing you not to hit hard. Mommy says hitting is mean. I think we should make Zuki It."
"What?? Why should I play with you guys?"
"Because if you dooooo, I won't make you play 'house' again when we're at home."
"....Fine. I'll be It."
"Ok, so he counts to 5, and we have that time to get as far away from him as we can!" Berry said to Koala.
"3......4...."
"HEY!" Berry said. "That's cheating!" She took off away from Zuki. "I'll get you back for that!"

Koala gave a nod, then he laughed and bolted off when Zuki skipped the first two numbers. "Bet'cha can't tag me!" He called out to Zuki as he ran back in Hailie's direction. Then a question popped into his head. He turned his head toward the panda ferment. "What's 'House'? Is that another game? Can we play it after we're done playing tag?"
Hailie averted her eyes from the door and turned towards the woman who made the remark earlier. Then her eyes caught sight of Koala and two more little buggers. Koala seemed to be dashing towards her. She sighed heavily and looked at the woman who seemed to look content and relaxed. "Hey," she called out. "Do you know if any of the employees are here? I have to talk with them for a minute."
((I forgot about Hailie for a minute..lol))

"You don't want to play 'House'!" Zuki said, chasing after Koala. It had been ages since they'd had someone else to play with, so he had, of course, chosen to take off after Koala once he had counted off '5'. He could get Berry later. "It's a dumb 'ol girrlllls game!" The small green blob hopped closer to Hailie, and trying to catch up with the other ferment boy.
Maggie shrugged, obviously lost in her own little world, her green eyes had a glassy look to them as she turned towards Hailie. "The people here don't like to be people and so they hide," she said, then blinked. Her eyes seemed to refocus and she laughed, rubbing the back of her head. "Er, I'm sorry, what?"
Berry hadn't run to far, when she realized Zuki was going after Koala and so had hidden behind Maggie's elbow. She had gotten used to the strange woman's antics, and even had started to understand her odd thought process. "Um...I think she meant us not liking to be people...." Berry said in a timid voice. "You know b-because we're all tiny and....um, food?" Well, Maggie had TOLD her she was food, but she didn't much feel like food. The other food didn't walk around and play tag, after all.
Maggie just continued to stare. "Oh, when did you get here?" she asked Hailie.

Koala kept running, turned his head around, and stuck his tongue out playfully. "Nyeh! I'm untagable~!" he teased. He turned his head back around just in time to see Hailie's forearm. Next thing he knew, he was flat on his back. He laid there, stunned, for a moment before mumuring a small, "Ow."
"...what?..I've been here for a while." Obviously, this lady must be one something...or off her rocker. Hailie decided to gear her questions towards the small panda instead, seeing as she seemed to be the most level-headed one here. She noticed the small green blob was chasing after Koala...who might have just knocked himself out. The impact he made with the arm she had on the counter didn't really hurt, but then again, she wasn't 3 inches tall. Be friendly, be friendly. She reminded herself as she leaned over. "Hello, there." she started, trying to choose her words carefully. "Have you seen anyone go in or come out of those doors?" She pointed to the kitchen doors and hoped to get an answer.

Zuki hopped the rest of the way over to Hailie and bumped against him. "TAG!" he cried, then hopped away. Well that was easy. It was normally harder to catch Berry, because she had legs and he didn't, so it gave her an unfair advantage.
Maggie turned to look at the door then tilted her head as she studied it closely. Berry watched the quirky woman, trying not to smile. It really WASN'T that funny that her guardian was a bit... 'off' at times. But Berry and Zuki had a nice house, and most of the time, Maggie was just fine.
At length, Berry looked over at Hailie, after she determined Maggie wouldn't be answering anytime soon. She shook her head. "N-no, I'm sorry, we haven't seen anyone. We've only been here once or twice, though. Is it very important? Maybe you could leave a note?"

Koala shook his head a few times, then leaped up and began to chase after Zuki. He laughed then proclaimed, "Better run for your life! 'Cause I'm coming for you~!"
Hailie sighed again. "No, I can just talk to them the next time I happen to see them." She stared at the red-haired woman for a while. "Uh, is she...alright?"
