A few days ago in English class (here in Finland) I came across a scary chapter about America. In this chapter, it said that it's not unusual to have wall to wall carpeting in the washroom. gonk It also mentioned that Americans spend a lot of time reading in the washroom. Is this true for any of you?
Discuss: Bathrooms Books Carpeting Other things that might relate to things.

Well...my friend's family does stuff like that....Like they have books and stuff in their bathroom. My friend Connor listens to the radio when he's in the bathroom. I personally do no such thing, but I don't know about everyone else >.>

OKay, I don't read in my bathroom. I sit down, or stay standing, and do what I need to do. There was only carpeting due to the floor mat, but nothing else. Although, back at home, our downstairs bathroom is painted red and gold, and it looks like there's poo on the walls because of it. gonk
I try to never use it.

o_o I've never seen wall to wall carpeting.
I try to just get in and get out, but my siblings have conversations and my dad sings.

I'm reading sometimes..but not often. I've heard alot of crazy stuff about americans, but never heard of wall-to-wall carpeting! Our bathroom is just checkered, black/white titles.

Why do people pick on the Americans gonk We don't pick on you!! (hahaha just kidding) Besides everyone does things differently because "America" has almost every race and ethnicity in it. So they bring unique little things here whee

I'll take on the wall-to-wall carpeting issue. I had never seen that, and couldn't help but think that was a rather stupid idea. Why would you put carpeting in a room that wold get all wet?
And then I bought a house...with wall-to-wall carpeting in the Master Bathroom. And after ripping it out because the toilet had leaked UNDER the carpeting and seeing all the mold that had developed near the toilet and tub and sink, I have concluded that carpeting in a bathroom is a genuinely stupid idea.

Carpet in the bathroom would be horrible. gonk
Especially with Matt and his brother around! Dear God, I can't even imagine. Neither of them lift the seat when they pee, and half the time they pee all over the place, it's disgusting and it really makes me mad. It's disgusting, just plain disgusting!!! And I don't know how many times I've cleaned puke off the floor cause someone was drunk and didn't quite make it... if I had to clean that up off of carpet that would be sick! Just sick!
Ahhhhkkk.. my brain! Carpet doesn't belong in the bathroom! If I had it my way I wouldn't even have carpet at all.
As for reading or listening to music, I don't do that. I'm like Tony.. get in, get my business done, get out. Most of the time when I pee I don't even bother to close the door all the way or turn on the light.. haha.. but if you peed as much as I do you might do the same.
