Sly ventured out with a yawn as he shook himself off, waking up just as the sun was setting. Finally the day was done, and now his night could begin, raised by his two shadow loving parents he had become quite nocturnal. Bright green eyes scanned about before he moved onward and outward slowly weaving through the trees to find a source of water. The evening was humid a cool drink would help, and then maybe he could find the energy to gather up a small meal.
He smiled as he came across a small stream, after bending to drink he arched his back and groaned happily feeling every muscle stretch. Ah it was good to be alive! He dunked his head into the water and came up shaking, much better. His tail flicked and he sat back smiling as he felt the raccoon tail brush the base of his spine. Now he needed to choose adequate prey...his ears perked at a sound and he moved slowly forward curious.

Netami had already begun her evening hunt. She'd found it was easier to hunt in the shadows, the depths of darkness...her dark coat blended nicely with the absence of color, while her back blended with the moonlit bark of trees, and her striped from legs threw off her prey with the patterns, making her body seemingly mold into her surroundings.
The wolf was hot on the trail of a fawn. The mother had been taken down by a nearby wolf pack, so she had stalked the baby for quite some time, really just waiting until nightfall so it'd be easier to eat in peace.
Keeping her head and tail low, she came up to the fawn curled up in some underbrush, quivering with the thought of being killed. Sadly, the little thing knew what was coming. Licking her maw, Netami smirked, baring her large pearly whites...and lunged.
The baby deer had caught wind of her, hopped up, and bolted towards the river to try and lose the larger wolf, but the she-wolf wasn't about to lose her damn meal! Panting heavily as she sprinted after it, both she and the fawn burst out from the undergrowth, the baby not expecting to see another wolf at all. The baby screamed out, making Netami's ears lie back, before the baby twisted around and obviously hurt its leg. The dumb thing turned in the female's direction, and the next thing it knew--Netami had mauled it over, just a few paces from the male, and sunk her teeth into its neck. Giving it a shake, Netami killed it with a snap of its neck, and stood up to straighten herself up. The she-wolf eyed Sly curiously, sniffing a bit past the blood and distress from the fawn.
"Thanks," she piped with a giggle, mostly being sarcastic, "This thing was a fast little bugger."

Sly raised his head his eyes widening, well now he hadn't expected that at all, and he was so rarely surprised. Still having the fawn almost barrel into him, followed by the female made him tilt his head. "I have a feeling it wouldn't have managed to get much farther, but I'm glad I could help even inadvertently."
He sat down and watched her wondering if she would offer to share her meal, if she didn't...he grinned slightly to himself, well she didn't have to offer, he enjoyed playing his tricks. Tricking her into turning away while he stole a tender leg didn't bother him one bit. His twisted sense of right and wrong probably had something to do with his mothers equally disturbing lack of morals, of course Sly had never killed another, and had no inclination to do so.
"I'm Sly" He smirked and moved to lay down sprawling casually clearly intent on joining her for her meal.

"Netami," she said casually, dropping the dead fawn to the ground right there. She had planned on wandering away, but by his friendliness and talking to her--he wanted in on it.
Glancing over to him, she cocked her head when he laid down--was he submitting, or something like that? How odd. She was a large female, much larger than her mother and sisters, but that didn't mean she could take another wolf down if she had to fight for food.
But, hey. The fawn was decently large, losing its spots and beginning to grow antlers. Plenty for two, right? Being a lone wolf like the rest of her family, she had learned to either defend her meals or share so no more blood was shed.
In this case...she had no problems. As long as he didn't try to run off with her food.
Sliding her tongue over her ebony lips, Netami plopped onto her rear near the soft tummy of the deer, pressing her paw against it to anchor it down. "You're welcome to join me, Sly," she grinned, a bit of warning in her expression, "Since you helped me kill it." Somewhat. But she was in a good mood, Sly should be thankful for that.

He chuckled then watching her and springing up to tear the choicest piece from the fawn before placing it in front of her. "You are a most gracious hostess Netami." He sat back and sliced away muscle with quick fangs to pick a chunk of meat out for himself. He licked his lip and raised his muzzle "What brings you out so late, I normally don't find any company in the dark." At least not any company that wasn't his family or a wolf he had no desire to bump into. Luckily they had moved away from the hostile land of his birth. The safer territory had simply made Sly all the more cocky though, he had no intention of stopping his carefree ways.
His siblings all seemed to understand that with age they would explore and find friends and perhaps someday make a family of their own, but Sly disliked that route. Why would he want to burden himself with any responsibility? It wasn't that he wasn't capable of being responsible, even as a pup when a chore was thrust upon him he saw it completed in it's fullest extent, but he disliked the concern such duties caused. No time for fun and tricks if he had to be taking care of some chore or duty.

What a kind male. Or so she thought. That or he was sucking up, she couldn't quite tell.
"I cant eat all of this, and it'd be a waste to let such soft meat go to waste, dont you think?" He tone picked up a sadistic purr, and she lowered down to her stomach to began to rip off chunks of the meat, gulping it down at a lazy pace. She wasn't scared of other wolves coming and stealing her kill--Netami was far too cocky to think that she'd get her food taken from her.
"So tell me, what brings you out here so late? And all by yourself?" Like she was one to talk. Now actually able to look at the male, her ears perked forward, and she cracked a grin. "'coon?" She questioned, motioning to the skin on his back.

Sly smirked up at her as he licked his lips. "It would indeed be a waste, though I'm sure some scavenger would be obliged to join you. I'm just glad you've allowed me." He chuckled and bent to tear away and strip of meat eagerly.
"My family and I are all night dwellers, I decided to spend tonight on a little stroll, never imagined it would come to such fine company though." He smirked and winked at her.
His head tilted back and he smiled at the pelt proudly his chest puffing a bit. "Big isn't he, brought him down by myself, not a mark on him except of course the stomach, ripped him right open. My mom did the skinning, she's brilliant, it was sort of our...coming of age."
