Russia stared out at the dark with a look of worry on his face. Something wasn't right, but he couldn't remember what it was. . . He remembered something about Belarus and he remembered her acting funny the last time he heard about her. Something about hunger. . . Shaking his head, he tried to get the thought out of his mind. Something wasn't right but he wasn't going to dwell on it.
The male had left a a note for China asking him to come over and he was looking forward to spending time with the other male.

Yao couldn't help but feel as if he'd never never drink vodka again. Ever. If he way he was feeling now was some sort of lingering side affect of the alcohol. A tiny voice in the back of his head reminded him that he'd gotten, as England would say, pissed drunk off of the stuff before and was fine in a day or two.
There hadn't been any of this...lasting nausea and the scent of his much loved congee made his stomach rebel. He got queasy just looking at his you tiao. Lunch and dinner was a little easier to handle, but anything greasy forced him to make a quick escape.
China groaned into his pillow. Two days of this unknown illness and he was already ready to call it quits. Lifting his head he glared at the folded note laying innocently to the side. Yes. He'd go blame Russia and demand to know just what he'd been given.
With that in mind Yao changed out of his crimson silk pajamas into his crisp military uniform, throwing a wonderfully thick coat over it. The fur collar would keep his neck and ears warm as he trudged through the snow to Russia's house.
He was glad he'd chosen to wear the coat, the snow was piled higher then last time and Yao couldn't feel the flesh where the wind managed to sneak under his clothing. "General Winter must be gathering his troops." Yao mused, rubbing his hands against his nose. He could see lights up ahead, which made him quicken his pace.
He shook snow out of his hair as he knocked on the door. "Russia! Open up aru! It's me, China aru! You have some explaining to do aru!"

((Yeah. . . Next time don't let me write a starting post when my head is killing me. *shot for fail response* Also, do you know what song I'm referencing?))
Russia puttered around the house making it presentable. He wanted China to have a good time tonight, because he felt like they had been very close the last time they had been together and he wanted that intimacy again. Russia felt that niggling in the back of his head trying to get him to remember the horrid things that had happened between he and his sister. But he wasn't going to! No! He couldn't let himself remember, otherwise it'd break his spirit and his mind would break worse than the fracture caused by the stress of General Winter.
When he heard the knocking on the door Russia rushed down the steps and through the long entry hall, barely noticing the disrepair his home had fallen into. When you lived with a country in shambles, it was hard to remember that things weren't like this in other places. "Yao needs Ivan to explain something" He muttered, brow knit in concentration of the demands. "What does Yao need explaining?"
Immediately, the taller male noticed something was wrong. The other male looked uneasy, as if he was sick. "Is Yao sick? Hurry in Yao! You're making Ivan cold." He stuttered out, shivering violently. Brrr! His war-torn body quaked as he stepped back from the entry way, waiting for the other male to enter his humble home.
Leaving China to deal with closing the door, he went to fetch a bottle of vodka. "Let's have a drink to warm up, shall we?" He laughed richly as he took a pull straight from the bottle.

((Noooo no I do nooott. D': ))
"Yes Yao needs Ivan to explain something." China said, entering the house, noting the condition it was in as he closed the door. His lips pressed into a thin line for a moment before shaking it off. He'd help Ivan fix it up later, after he'd gotten his answers.
He took two steps inside and swiped a hand across his face, sighing. Wonderful, he did look sick, and possibly miserable too. He knew he shouldn't have trusted Russia. But no, he had to see him, be reminded of the times that they'd shared... Argh! He refrained from banging his head against the door. Such actions were for those with less sophistication and grace then the long-lived country.
"No. No more Vodka. Ever." Yao said, his voice firm. "Since I was here last time and drank that foul liquid I've been ill every morning, and I cannot stomach my usual breakfast food." He stalked up to Ivan and poked him in the chest, head tilted back a bit so that he could stare and the infuriatingly taller nation. His cheeks were dusted with a bit of color and his lips pressed into a line again. "And what is with the house? Why have you let it fall into such disrepair? If you needed help you should have asked!" He waved his other hand around, gesturing towards the visible signs of neglect.
It was no wonder General Winter was able to do so much damage yearly if Ivan didn't do anything to repair his home.

((Thread title is a lyric from Paradise By the Dashboard Lights by Meatloaf XD))
Tilting his head, Russia listened to China talk with some confusion. "I'm sorry if I made you sick, but that doesn't sound like something vodka does. . . I've known of it making another person have a headache the next day and an upset stomach but for multiple days. . . That doesn't sound like alcohol." Pausing for thought he frowned deeply. "Maybe you have the plague. But no. . . I've seen the plague wither the human body in front of my eyes. I've watched people die internally before the signs showed outwardly. I've seen the flesh peel off of the hands of those who were sick and none of that sounds like what you have."
Russia turned and walked into his library where very torn and dirty volumes scattered the shelves and floor. His large hand ran down the spines of the volumes trailing dust in its wake. "Ah! Here we are." He pulled an extremely old book from the shelf entitled Diseases and Illnesses. Taking the volume back into the entry hall Russia waved to China, beckoning him into the living room where the furniture was extremely warn but very comfortable.
Returning to his earlier train of thought he tossed over his shoulder, "My house?" Looking around he saw nothing that was not as it hadn't been for a very long time. "I don't see anything wrong about my house."
Shaking his head, he sat down and started to thumb through the ancient pages. He would guess the last time that it had been opened would have been approximately sixty years ago. Running his fingers through the descriptions of the illnesses he stopped on one that made him confused. "Yao, what did you say has been happening to you since you left my house?"

China sighed, folding his hands over his knees. He'd followed Ivan into the room and had taken a seat, listened to what he'd said and had kept his words to himself. "Perhaps it was Alcohol poisoning aru?" He asked, casting his eyes around the room. "As for this place...Ivan, it's falling apart aru. It needs a good cleaning and things need to be replaced aru." He shook his head, then promptly turned green as he recalled what Ivan had been describing a few moments before he'd found the book.
"Urk." He pressed a hand against his mouth and swallowed several times. "I get sick..in the mornings aru." He closed his eyes and dropped his hand to his stomach, "And you talking about the plague...didn't help aru."

Russia felt his face turn very white as he stared down at the entry. With a look of horror, he realized what was wrong with both China and his sister - they were both pregnant. "Yao. . ." Holding out the book, he shook his head trying to clear away the shock. "It's most definitely not food poisoning. . ." He whispered as he tilted his head back against the couch. Was he the father? Wouldn't he have to be the father?
He was definitely not the father of Belarus' child, because he knew of Lithuania's infatuation with her. He'd also heard whispers about a new Noct which his sister was seeing.
But China. . . China wasn't the type to go sleeping around. And he'd only been sick after he'd come home from visiting at his house. . . So he was the father? Could he accept that? Smiling, he laughed mentally as a comment he'd mentioned to China came to mind. Holding him when he gave birth. . . It definitely seemed as if that was a likely possibility at the moment. Maybe he could talk to Ellie's friend Perpetua. Russia had heard that she was a midwife and a herbologist so hopefully she'd be able to help.

"What? What is it aru?" China asked, his eyes snapping open as he sat up and leaned forward. "What am I going to die from aru?" His face was paler then before and a hint of fear could be seen in his eyes. His hands were trembling, which he hid by clasping them over his stomach.
If he was going to die from something he picked up here, well, there had to be a vaccine for it. If not. Well. He'd get Ivan to cremate his ashes and scatter them over his country. That way, even though he wouldn't be there physically, he could still be there spiritually.

Blinking his eyes open in surprise at the worry in his voice, Russia gave a high childish laugh. "Kolkolkol! You're not dying silly, you're just pregnant." Shaking his head he reached a hand out to ruffle China's hair. "You're going to be fine, you're just going to be eating for three. We can go talk to Perpetua if you're overly worried." Laughing again, Russia reached a hand up to wipe away a tear of mirth. Who knew what China was thinking, but knowing him it would be something paranoid and worrisome.

"P-Pregnant?" China echoed, stammering the accursed word. His eyes widened, "T-three?" He whimpered and refused to faint. Fainting wasn't dignified and...and...he was pregnant. With two babies. Well, more like a bunch of cells at the moment, but still. Children! His! His and Ivan's! And Ivan had to do that creepy laugh of his as he told him too.
"I...I don't. I can't...You didn't..." He started, only to trail off and start again. He was speechless. Children! His eyes teared up, his house wouldn't be so lonely anymore. The large halls wouldn't echo the sadness in his heart as he walked through them. There would be others to share the space with him.
His fingers trembled as he placed a hand to his mouth, a few tears spilled down his cheeks from his happiness. He knew somewhere deep down that he should be more freaked out then he was, but children! He'd always wanted to have one of his own, but with the other Asian countries just children he'd always had his hands full. But that was then, they were all old enough to take care of themselves, which they had proved by moving out.
He chuckled weakly, dropping his hand down to grip at one of the worn throw pillows. "Ivan." He said, his voice sweet, "You forgot the contraceptive aru." He threw the pillow at him, "Now we're going to have children and this house isn't suitable to raise them in aru!" He tossed the other pillow at him and huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. Yes, there would be a lot of renovations that needed to be done before he would ever let one of his children play here.

Tilting his head cutely, Russia smiled and gave China a hug. "I'm sorry Yao. . . I was sort of. . . In the heat of things as they say." He laughed happily as he said this. "But I promise that I'll be a good father to our children. And. . . I guess I could move to your house? Or you could move to mine. Because we'll have to get married and have to make sure the children have two fathers." He started making plans about what he could do for his children.
They would obviously be taught Russian from an early age. And they'd have to make sure to have a tolerance to alcohol since they'd need it to stay warm. It got cold at his house. "Hmm. . . What do you think their last names? Or will you take my last name? Maybe we could hyphenate our last names?" He frowned as he continued thinking about the small details.

China scowled at Russia in the heat of things his rear, literally! "As if I would let you be anything less then a good father." He said, relaxing into the hug. He still couldn't believe that he had life growing within him. Two tiny Nocts that would depend upon him, to love him, and wouldn't betray him like Japan had, or hate him or or.... He smiled his eyes loosing the sharpness they'd held just moments before.
"You'll move in with me. General Winter wont bother us at my place. It's also a lot cleaner and in far less a state of disrepair then this place." China said, his voice holding a matter-of-fact tone. "As for names..well...how about hyphenating it?" His name was the only thing he knew when he came to be. He didn't know who his parents were and well...it would hurt him to replace even a part of it, no matter the reason.

Russia nuzzled China's neck, blowing a raspberry on it as he nodded. "General Winter wouldn't dare come after me at your house Yao~ But we have to make sure that we come visit my house sometimes. I don't think it'd do well without me for long periods of time." He imagined playing with their children in the dirt. And then swinging on the swing set. And- and- then they could play tag! Oh the fun that they would have when they were born! He could just imagine it.
Smiling he nodded his head again, whispering "Braginski-Wang. . ." He said, laughing. Then he began imagining China in a red wedding dress, with his hair down and soft like he remembered it being. . . "We need to start planning the wedding, because we don't want people to think you're pregnant and that's the only reason I'm marrying you." He mused aloud. But no, that would never be the case for Russia. He just wouldn't let China know that because it would probably scare him, the intensity of his feelings for him.

"General Winter would fail if he came to my house aru." China said, a scowl on his face, "I would see to that aru." His cheeks were tinted red from when Russia blew a raspberry against it. His house would be best, yes, and the halls could soak up the laughter and the memories and hopefully mend the hurt he still carried in his heart.
"Oh, is this the only reason why you would marry me aru?" China asked, feeling a tiny bit hurt. He pulled back so he could look Ivan in the face as they spoke. "I mean I don't mind getting married because of the babies, but...would you not marry if it were not out of duty aru?"

Russia balked at China's accusations. "No, no, no! Ivan didn't mean it like that! Ivan loves Yao. Yao knows this!" He mumbled as he stared down at his hands. "Ivan wants Yao to feel the same way, but. . . Yao probably doesn't." Sighing, Ivan pulled back from the other Noct after making that confession. Russia didn't want China to know the way he felt. It would cause too much trouble and heartache for him if the other male turned him down.
The truth was, Russia really loved that China was pregnant. It would bring the other nation to the realization that he probably needed Russia just as much as Russia needed him. And now he probably thought that Russia was a fool. He could just bet that was the truth. Putting his face in his hands, Russia leaned forward, and away from China.
