The crew had rushed everyone away from her suddenly during the cruise, including that kind healer, and those two boys. She thought fondly of them, well, admittedly, more Zane then Meir. She found out after that when they had hustled everyone away and surrounded her with ship security that it was because they had apprehended her attacker and wanted to make sure he didn't make a break for it. At the time however, she had just been scared. They kept her apart form everyone a while longer then "set her free" behind them as they went. She had sank under the waves, depressed, afraid and alone. What was she to do? She wasn't going home, this mess had started because she ran away in the first place, and she just knew there would be a million "I told you so"s waiting for her. So... she swam. The whole rest of the time of the cruise she swam, a bit after. No aim, no destination, she just.. swam. And then one day she was just.. lonely. It had crept up on her into a crushing weight. She was considering going back to find her family after all, putting up with their patronizing just to hear voices again. She found a small island and pulled out of the water some, pulling herself along to the fruit trees she saw. She got under it and tossed bananas closer to the water, then dragged her self back. She ate a few then started drawing in the sand with the end of a banana. She grinned and wondered how it looked from the air, the small candycorn fish she had drawn. She then drew a spiral, not unlike the pattern on herself. She flipped her fail in the water, snuggling into the soft sand and sea so that only her upper half was clear of the waves. She started thinking back to the few good moments that there had been, under all the fear when she was on that horrible ship... She blinked when she realized that she had written, next to the spirals, ZANE. She smiled a bit and slipped under the water after banana peal that had slipped off the sand. It wouldn't do to litter the ocean, after all. So if anyone happened to be flying overhead... they'd see a crude drawing in the sand of a fish, a swirl... and the name Zane all in uppercase letters, some bananas and peals... but... no her. Yet.

Zane flew along happily after the nice relaxing vacation they took. He didn't understand why Meir and Ryu were so disgruntled. It had been a fun trip! He hoped they could go on another vacation soon. He glanced down at the land below him and slowed down as something caught his eye. It looked like... a sand drawing! He brighted.. this was like Pictionary! Lets see.. there was some... triangles? No fish.. those would be fish. And a swirl... and letters. Could you write letters in Pictionary? He shrugged to himself.. anyway.. letters. There was a Z...A...N...E. He blinked.... well that didn't spell 'HELP' like he thought it would. Z..a...n..e...... Za...ne....Zane?.... ZANE! That was HIS name! Why was his name in the sand? Oh no... was he lost? He looked around a bit before swooping down and landing by the sand picture. "Lets see.." he muttered to himself "Fish.. a swirl.. and me. Fish swirl Zane? No. Zane... swirls fish? No. Tsunami Zane? No. OH I know! Professor Plum in the Ballroom with the Candlestick!" He grinned triumphant then deflated "Wrong game..." And settled down to try and determine the mysterious message some more...

She surfaced triumphantly, holding the wayward banana peel, sending water splashing all over as she broke into the air. then she blinked, seeing him. "Oh!" she said, surprised, eyes wide. Did she...have magic at sand summoning? Or was this just her odd luck at work again?

Zane looked up and grinned "Auburndine! How are you doing? Look! My names in the sand.... I think its a code of some kind so I've been trying to figure it out...."

She flushed darkly. "Err... I kind of... wrote it," she admitted, sheepishly.

He pouted "I know THAT. I mean the fish and the swirl along with it. Is it a coded message? Or like Pictionary?"

She grinned a bit. "So... how was the rest of the cruise for you?" she asked softly, leaning against the sand of the beach. Her tail flicked in the water comfortably. She had a full belly, good company, nice water, and a warm day. There were moments when life was good. This was one of them.

He smiled "It was really fun! I've never been on a cruise before.. but I'd like to go on another one day."

"I'm glad you enjoyed," she said, trying not to shudder at the idea of ever going though that again. Though she had met him because of it. She couldn't regret that.

Zane beamed "I really did. I asked Ryu if all cruises were as exciting. He told me he doubted it.. though he didn't know from experience. I guess normally cruises are meant to be boring?"
