Character's name: Akira Kenichi
Aliases/Nicknames: None for now, but if you make one for her, don’t expect her to like it.
Age: Appears around 19
Occupation: Student
Reiatsu color: A very dark purple color, nearly black.
Apperance:

Akira

Akira has odd violet hair that goes down slightly below her shoulders, cut sloppily since she refuses to have it professionally done. Her eyes are only a slightly darker shade than her hair and are usually burning with either rage or annoyance. She often wears rather dark clothing, giving most people the impression that she’s not a very kind person. And those people would be right.
Accessories: None.
Personality: Akira’s cold and cruel personality tends to scare most people off before they can even get to know how she really is. She prefers that everyone around her dislikes her as much as she dislikes them, so she tends to do anything in her power to piss people off to the point that they absolutely hate her with a passion. She doesn’t ever seem to care about most things and never shows any sympathy, most people seeing her as a heartless person. But, she can’t always hide how she really feels. In truth, beneath her cold and uncaring exterior, she’s a kind person who would do anything to help others, but refuses to show her true feeling for her own personal reasons. It takes a LOT to actually get her to reveal how she actually is, and even if you manage that, it won’t last for very long, since she’ll snap right back to her cruel personality almost instantly. But, the only reason she’s so bitter is because she is afraid that she’ll become attached to someone and be betrayed by them, since that happened to her so frequently when she was alive.

Bio/History: Akira lived a fairly normal life, despite the fact that her family was quite a bit wealthier than most. She was a straight A student in school, was always kind and polite to others, and always made her parents proud. Unfortunately, the same thing could not be said for her twin brother Hikaru. Hikaru acted out a lot because his parents tended to ignore him and pay more attention to his sister, resulting in him getting involved with the wrong crowd. As they grew up together, Akira wasn’t at all aware of the things her brother was getting into and the horrible people he hung out with. So, when he offered to set her up with a friend of his, she sheepishly complied. Ivaylo seemed like a nice enough guy, taking the relationship slowly without getting straight to the point like some other obnoxious guys would do. But, after six months together, she started to notice some strange behavior.

He would often be gone in the middle of the night and come back in the morning with his clothes ruffled and sometimes torn up a bit. Every once in a while, she’d even notice a few specks of blood on his shirts. She was getting suspicious, but didn’t say anything yet, not having any idea what it all could mean. One night, and it seemed like a fairly normal night considering that they went out often, they ate out at a fancy restaurant in town. She was unusually exhausted when they headed back to the car, quickly nodding off while Ivaylo drove. When she woke up, noticing that the car was stopped and the engine stalled, she looked out the window wearily, not recognizing where she was. She turned to ask Ivaylo where they were, but he wasn’t in the driver seat. She looked around frantically, finally feeling how stiff her body felt and how sluggish she moved. She crawled into the backseat, curling up in the corner. She had no idea where she was, Ivaylo was gone, and wherever he was, he had taken the keys with him.

She sighed in relief when the backdoor open, thankful that Ivaylo had come back. But, after taking a moment for her brain to register his appearance in the rather dim light of a nearby street light, that relief was overcome by fear again. He was absolutely drenched in blood from head to toe with a Cheshire grin that spread from ear to ear and wide, crazed eyes. She cowered back as far as she could go, but she was already up against the other door. She fumbled around for the door handle in the dark, but couldn’t seem to find it. When her fingers finally grazed over the handle, he snatched her wrist and pulled her hand away from the door, dragging her towards him. She clawed at the seat, trying desperately to keep away from him, but he was stronger and easily dragged her closer. He crawled into the car and shut the door behind him, pushing down on the lock.

She froze. What was he going to do with her? Why was he covered in blood!? Why was he even doing this!? What had she ever done to him…? Ha, he was torturing her like this and she was just caught up in her own thoughts, actually blaming herself. No, he had to have done this on purpose. Her limbs felt so stiff and she was just exhausted, yet she hadn’t done anything tiring at all. He must’ve slipped something into her drink when he helped the waiter by passing it over. Gawd, how could she miss something like th- She was jerked out of her thoughts when she felt a hand on her thigh and his blood speckled face was inches away from hers. She let out an odd sounding gasp, feeling the urge to scream, but choking on her own breath from the shock. She tried to slap his hand away, but it felt like hitting a metal pole. It didn’t even budge, all of her strength drained away from whatever he had slipped in her drink.

Her blood ran cold. She was probably pale as a sheet right now from absolute horror, his hot breath on her face not making it any better. She tried to squirm away, but his hand held her thigh down firmly and he still had a good grip on her wrist. He leaned in and pressed his lips to hers forcefully, the taste of it making Akira sick to her stomach. And to think she used to enjoy this… She tried to pull away from the kiss, only resulting in a hard bite on her lower lip. She winced and felt like gagging at the coppery taste in her mouth, but was too focused on trying to find a way to get away from him. There wasn’t anything in the car she could hit him with and she was too weak at the moment to kick him away or anything. She was beginning to feel hopeless, which was exactly what he was waiting for.

As soon as he felt her will to fight back die down, he ran his hand up Akira’s leg, making her shudder in disgust. At the same moment, he ended the kiss and let his tongue graze over her cheek and down the side of her neck. That was it, she couldn’t take this. She was sobbing uncontrollably, letting this guy, a stranger to her now, do whatever he wanted with her. Putting all of what was left of her strength into a single kick, she managed to get him away for a short moment. As he groaned in pain reaching out to grab her again, she grasped the door handle and opened the door, falling backwards out of the car. Before she could even scramble to her feet, he was hovering over her once again. She flinched when he gave her a soft bite on the neck, to which she involuntarily let out a small moan. She instantly cursed herself, for that just edged him on further. “N-No! NO! Please…” She pleaded, finding it completely useless to fight back physically. He ignored her and went right back to where they left off in the car.

She refused to take any more of this though. She aimed a powerful kick between his legs and shoved him off while he was cursing her in agonizing pain. She clumsily hopped up to her feet and ran for it. She was covered in sweat, blood, and tears as she stumbled in any random direction, not too sure where she was. It seemed like he gave up on her since he didn’t chase after. After walking aimlessly for a mile or two, she finally collapsed on the sidewalk.

When she woke up, she found herself in her room, lying down on her bed as if nothing had ever happened. She was even in fresh, clean clothes, not a speck of blood in sight. That’s when she saw her brother in the room, sitting on the floor beside her bed with a guilty expression on his face. “W-What…happened?” She managed to choke out, her throat feeling dry and a horrible taste in her mouth. He seemed a bit startled when she spoke up, not even realizing that she was awake. He stood up and sadly explained how he found her passed out far away from home, confirming that what had happened to her the night before wasn’t just a nightmare.

He also told her the truth about himself. How he accidentally got involved with a gang, how he was addicted to drugs and liquor. Despite that what happened to her was all his fault, and even with every wrong choice he ever made, she wrapped her arms around him in a hug and tried to comfort him. He just apologized and thanked her over and over again, swearing on his life that he would do everything he could to fix his mistakes, and she believed him. Just like how she believed that Ivaylo wasn’t a rapist and that her brother would never do anything to harm her.

Over the next month, she began hearing countless stories about a crazed serial killer on the loose who would spend months gaining the trust of people before seducing and murdering them in cold blood. Even before they showed a picture or told the name of who they confirmed to be the killer, she already knew. Ivaylo never had any kind of feelings for her besides lust and the urge to kill. That b*stard… At least one good thing was happening for her. Hikaru hadn’t gotten high or drank a drop of alcohol in 3 weeks, and he was already looking a lot healthier. She had to get on his case and yell at him a lot, but she knew he would thank her when he was finally cured.

Two months later, they still hadn’t caught that serial killer, which she didn’t really care about anymore. It was all in the past. Just a tiny, insignificant fear in the back of her mind. Unfortunately, that ignorance was what led to her death. Having nothing to do for the evening, she went out for a walk, completely oblivious to the eyes watching her from the shadows with murderous intent. He lunged at her with a knife from behind a parked car and slit her throat. Still alive, but unable to breathe and her sight fading, she collapsed as he continuously stabbed, slashed, and mutilated her body until she passed away.

Her life was ended, but she was still there. She could see that murderer, her brother, and everyone else, but they couldn’t see her. She couldn’t lay a finger on them either. She was horrified, afraid, and had no idea what to do. She wanted to get her revenge so badly and to help Hikaru sober up and watch him get better, but now she could only watch from the sidelines as their lives unfolded while hers was ended so suddenly. Without her help, Hikaru fell right back into his old habits out of depression from the loss of his sister who helped him despite everything he had ever done to her. Ivaylo eventually was caught, but he ended up getting a sentence of life in prison instead of the death sentence that he deserved. She couldn’t help but feel a bit relieved by that though, since if he died, couldn’t he come after her again? She shuddered at the thought.

She wandered around a lot for a very long time, only having her thoughts for company. She vowed to never let herself care about another person again, in fear that she would be betrayed again. She was already betrayed by her own brother and lo-- lover. She could hardly even choke out the word, horrified that she ever thought of him that way. He was a disgusting monster that deserved to go to hell, but was just locked up and being cared for until he dies of old age. That just made her sick. In the middle of her thoughts, didn’t notice the large black beast sneaking up behind her. The mouth of its ugly white mask opened as it let out a roar, finally getting Akira’s attention. She tried to run away but it was too quick and easily caught up, swinging a claw at her. Luckily, someone dropped in at the last second and sliced through the creature’s mask with their sword, causing it to fade away. They explained the basics of Hollows, Shinigami, etc. and where they were sending her to. She argued with them, wanting to stay and keep trying to get her brother’s attention and help him, but the Shinigami sent her to the Soul Society anyways. And as she faded into the white light under her feet, she flipped them off with a scowl on her face.

She spent quite a few years trying to get used to her new life after death, but never came to enjoy it. So, she decided to enroll in the Shinigami Academy, though if anyone asked her, she would claim the only reason she wanted to join was so she could beat the sh*t out of things.
