So I'm curious as to what other Gaians Steampunk outfits entail.
I was thinking for mine a simple black Military Jacket, a Vest A bowler and a black Dress pants and shirt. However the steampunk group I'll be joining all the people in it have steampunk weaponry for their outfit, one person has Steam Powerfists, another has a Welder/death laser, stuff like that. I'm Planning a steampunk Wheel lock Jezzail, a ridiculously long Sniper Rifle type thing, I'm like 5'8" this thing is gonna be like 5' 3" ish. The scope on it will be 2 lenses that pop up by pulling a thing on the side. For those extra long targets I'll be making a Mono goggle Scope, which is exactly how it sounds, I'm going to be working on that first as it will be the most simple part.
So theres my outfit, whats yours?

I guess mine is at a stage where I could call it 'complete' - that is to say, consisting of enough standard garbs (shirt, waistcoat, etc.) and accoutrements (pocketwatch, brass bits, and the like) such that is does not look incomplete.
That said, however, there are still a number of items I desire - namely a pilot's hat & goggles; and I do need to finish my aether oscillator.

I'm having issues aquiring the components to even a meager outfit. I daresay that I have nothing to contribute unless you can count a simple black beret as a part of the nonexisting whole. Pathetic, yes, I'm aware.

I have enough for a minimal outfit, though I'm working on more, of course. I have yet to construct a mighty weapon which is sorely needed.
Let's see... I own blouses/shirts, waistcoats and other clothes but nothing special as of yet. I have pocket watches, binoculars/a telescope among other bits and bobs; I'm going to make spats after I go looting in November, and I'm working on a piece of steampunk equipment at the moment. The planning for my outfit is pretty finished though.
Your Wheel lock Jezzail sounds awesome, as does the Mono goggle Scope, you'll have to post pictures after you've finished! biggrin

I haven't even started...
I'm still trying to make things...
I have a leather jacket, which I love dearly, which I think is it... I intend to get a lovely scarf though...

My costume is still in the underwear stages. whee (Ignore the green skirt beneath it. That's part of my Ren Faire costume. xp ) I loved making this. The pattern was easy to follow, and I finally found a use for this fantastic fabric!

Sakuneko-chan Oh wow! Doctor, that is a gorgeous corset you've made! I adore the material! Where did you get ahold of this pattern of yours? I used the TV110 from Truly Victorian. They have a number of fantastic patterns, some of which I'm using for the rest of my costume.

I don't really have a set steampunk outfit. I have a lot of earth-toned skirts, shirts, vests, and corsets that I mix and match, along with some accessories that work with all of them.

I finally have an idea for an outfit. Life is so much easier with goals in mind. I have the vest, tie, and boots. I need a brown and a white long skirt, a hat, a pocket watch, and armwarmers.

My last outfit was very standard, green taffetta opera dress with black corset over it and grey top hat with goggles, elbow length gloves and reticule. For Abney Park at the Edison this New Year's I got a black satin flapper dress (because it is the Edison) but to avoid looking like a sack I'm putting the black corset over it. It looks good, but I don't know what sort of genre it is now. I'm planning on wearing my hair up, a huge fur coat, and with some boots as well.

Hi there. I started making outfits recently aftre seeing so many cool and elegant steampunk outfit photos on the internet. So far I found gloves, blouse, skirt, pants, 3 vests, a sriked shirt, 2 pair of gloves, 1 pocket watch and a medal watch, golden framed oval sunglasses and a brown flower brooch. I love those elegant uniform-like upper clothes, vests, jackets (too), which fit for women too. smile I show my outfits so far (in links) smile In my opinion they're kind of "beginners" I think since I dont have e. g. gears, top hat, goggles etc. Bit masculine one (yes I like vests)"Casual worker"With magnifying glass, newest outfitLadybug Clock smile
