Since our boys started their career in the 90's, I thought it would only be fitting to start a topic about the other music of the 1990's. As a 90's kid, I was born into this era so I'm very fluent in the music of that time. Who were your favourite artists and songs, Backstreet Boys related or otherwise question

I really like the 90s. It had emotion in music back then. Today a lot of the pop is just about making it rhyme.

I thought the 90s had better music than today. It was more catchy and more meaningful lyrics. I mean come on, what was the last time you listened to a song from 2006 for the fun of it? Can you even remember any songs from 2006?
Don't get me wrong either, there's some music today that you won't forget because they are just such good songs. But will you still be listening to them in ten years time?

I think that that both have something to offer. Like the 90's you have good lyrics and instant classics. But with today, you have many different types of songs and awesome backround music.

Pandora_Raizia I really like the 90s. It had emotion in music back then. Today a lot of the pop is just about making it rhyme. My thought to the T! Most pop now it just really about making money or just having sexual relations. The only music that is decent now is just the whole electronica/new wave/synth pop revial. I just think the 90s and early 00s were the last of the years of good pop dominating the air waves, thank God for the BSB and other pop singers that bring out amazing pop songs

Me personally, I listen to the radio quite a bit, and I hate mostly every song that comes on it. In fact, I'll test out my theory right now. Okay, this song doesn't count since I've never heard it before, but that's not my point. Most of the time when I'm listening to the radio, I'm looking for songs I can at least tolerate which is absolutely pathetic. I remember years ago, when songs like Pop by Nsync were ruling the airwaves and I was so excited when songs I liked came on. Those days appear to be long gone now which is really stupid. Since when did songs about lollipops, birthday sex, hoes, drugs, alcohol and being a complete idiot become so popular question What ever happened to songs about genuine feelings, good times and sad realities question

Everytime someone asks me what music I listen to I always respond with rock and all its forms and 90s pop. I am not ashamed and I will admit that I hate a lot of todays music. Then again, this year I have heard more pop songs I like than don't.

So people, what were the albums that you really liked in the 90's question Other than of course all of BSB's gem, I know I really liked "No Strings Attached" by Nsync. It was a really poppy record with a ton of catchy songs on it. And even though I now know what "Digital Get Down" means, I still like most of those songs.
Also, I really liked "Spice World". The songs were fun to dance to with your friends and everyone could be their favourite girl. I'm sure most little girls of the day would make up their own dances to songs. I know I did.
What were your favourite albums question

Spice World really done it for me, when I was younger I use to play the hell out of that CD and all the Backstreet Boys stuff. I was into Toni Braxton, Janet, mostly its was R&B albums and Pop/ Euro Pop and then after those two it was everything else. I really liked Green Day, back then I don't really care for them as much now, and The Offsrpings!! And how can I forget about S Club 7

One Christmas, my sister, stepsister and myself were all given a cd. My stepsister got Christina Aguilera's first cd with "Genie In A Bottle", my sister got Ricky Martin's cd and I got Britney Spears' first cd. It's funny now because my sister is the only one who still has hers in good condition.

Oh man, I think my first CD was either En Vogue or Toni Braxton. I still remember when I would dance and try to sing like Toni and Janet Jackson. LOL (MAJOR MAJOR opposites lol)

I remember making tons of little dance routines to tons of songs, like Hit Me Baby One More Time. So much fun to perform them also. Except when the people who are watching are completely drunk and stupid on a regular basis without the influence of alcohol. Any stories from you guys question
