I spent a few minutes in front of a length mirror with my wand aimed at my hair, wondering whether I should go bald since I couldn't make up my mind on what type of hairstyle I wanted it to be. I never thought I'd be so nervous for today, Trista agreed to go to Hogsmeade with me and I had no clue on how it would make me feel. With one last thought in mind, I styled my hair back not wanting my bangs to hang in front of my eyes and have the irritation of brushing it back. With one last look at myself: my blue shirt with my collar open and my long sleeves rolled up to my elbows, my khaki pants and brown belt, my black dockers.
I ran down to the courtyard in front of the Great Hall, knowing that's where everyone met before going to the wagons. Once there, my lungs wanting to pop and my legs almost giving way if it wasn't for the stone wall to the side of me, I scanned the crowd of students until I found Trista, I didn't know what she was wearing I just hoped I didn't come to late that she left thinking I stood her up. I stood up straight, letting the strain in my lungs open up, took a deep breath and began walking towards the crowd to find her.

((OOC: Just wondering why you changed to first person.? hah))
Trista rushed down the staircases, hoping that Payton was still waiting for her. They would be going to Hogsmeade that morning, and Trista had needed to pack enough money for her sweets and also some extra for any other place they had decided to stop. She found a large group of students in the area in front of the Great Hall. Trista was almost worried that she had missed Payton or would not be able to find him in that mess of children. She pushed through though, and soon enough found him off to the side near one of the walls. "Hello there, ready to go?" Trista asked the boy, panting in exhaustion from running through the castle.

ooc: sometimes I get bored. I wrote in first person, wondering how much I could write. But I can switch back if it makes it easier.
Payton turned around quickly after he heard Trista's voice, not really trailing far into the crowd to find her since she found him. "Yes, I'm ready," his reply filled with an amount of excitement that would reward him a treat if it were possible. He took a step toward Trista wondering if she'd let him do something. With a slight hesitation he decided against it, thinking that they were going on this excursion merely as friends. Hopefully.
With a hand raised to rub the back of his neck, Payton kicked the air causing him to move in the direction of the wagons. "I see you ran here also...maybe I should have waited in the common room as a spot to meet up," his lack of preparation finally making him feel guilty that he may have rushed the both of them. "I'll remember to send you an owl or slip a note to you...next time," he suggested while they walked out of the courtyard. 'If there is a next time,' his thoughts bring doubt to his early outing. He dropped his hand and placed it in his back pocket, a habit he accustomed to when blank in thought, he let out a shaky breath and asked, "how was your morning?" using a typical question.

((OOC: oh, it doesn't matter. I was just curious.))
Trista chuckled when Payton suggested just meeting in the common room next time. "Yes, that does sound like a much better idea." She let out a long, monstrous yawn. "My morning was okay, i guess. What about yours?" Trista asked him sweetly, yawning again.

Payton watched Trista as she spoke of her morning after she let out a yawn, which in return, made his raise a hand to cover his open mouth that turned into a yawn. Funny how simple gestures connect. He let out a light chuckle at his action as he dropped his hand. "Yes, my morning was fine. Woke up early because I couldn't go to sleep much thinking about today...usually when I have things to do they play in my mind through the night so I wouldn't forget. It becomes worst when exams come around...I hardly get any sleep." He laughed remembering last year during his O.W.L.'s, how he only had a few hours to sleep and slept between tests which almost cost him to be late to one.
Payton stopped behind a line of students getting into the wagons that would take them to Hogsmeade. "Now I remember you saying you wanted to visit a few shops, which do you care to stop by first?" he asked, hoping her answer would give him an idea of where to go as to map out their day in his head. He didn't want to screw this up, knowing it was his first act of making a friend.
ooc: ha ha, I just changed my writing style again. oh well.

Trista laughed as they both yawned. "That must be dreadful. I usually stay up later studying, but I'll fall right to sleep afterwards. As for Hogsmeade, I had only really hoped that we could go to Honeydukes to get some sweets for myself and to send some back home."

Payton listened as Trista seemed to have some of the same problem as him, but with better solutions. Maybe later he could ask her how she goes to sleep, maybe even make a potion to help him out. He took a few steps forward, following the line as he nodded in agreement about going to Honeydukes. Yes, he remembered now that's where she wanted to go.
"Sounds great, we'll hit there first," Payton agreed and continued to follow the line of students. "Oh, don't forget about Zonko's, maybe we'll get there with good timing and a lot of third years will be in there. I sure need something to help pick me up," thinking of the laughs he would get by watching them get joked on by the candy, books and various items.

"Oh, that's right!" Trista had remembered Payton mentioning Zonko's. She chuckled at his idea about watching the third years on their first trip to Hogsmeade. She followed through the line with Payton, hoping that the wagons would get a move on so they had enough time to visit all the places they had wanted to.

Payton grinned at Trista as she responded to his story about Zonko's. He knew once inside, he would get a few laughs that will keep his mind entertained during the boring lectures of his tutoring, he could always stare at his work but think about things that made him laugh just to let the time pass.
"So. What do you like to do for fun, Trista?" Payton asked, trying to start a conversation to pass the waiting time that they stood in line. But from the looks of the line, they could be there within the two wagons that were heading back from Hogsmeade empty. He placed his hands deep in his pockets, not really knowing how to act around a girl.

Trista thought about Payton's question for a bit. She didn't really have many set things that she did for fun, she kind of just took things how they came and picked amusing things to do. "Um, I like to draw." Trista chuckled softly. "I'm really not sure what else, but I like to do a lot of different things." Trista looked ahead of the line with Payton and noticed the empty wagons making their way back to the school. She hoped that they would make one of them; waiting there in line wasn't much fun. She just wanted to make it to Hogsmeade already.

Payton nodded, liking the idea that Trista liked to draw. Drawing seemed to be a thing most girls in their House were good at. Unlike him he didn't seem to have that talent, though it never stopped him from sketching things in his mind. "That's great, what do you like drawing more, people or objects?" His question showed what her interesting might be.
Payton moved ahead after the group in front of him moved into the wagon. He knew that the next wagon would allow them to get to Hogsmeade. "What made you like drawing?" he asked, keeping up a topic that seemed to interest the both of them. He never liked drawing in public or in the open, mainly when he sketched in his notebook in the library when he would be stuck on a thought or question.

Trista looked ahead at the wagons along with Payton. "Well, I prefer to draw objects at the moment. I really haven't had much experience with drawing actual people or even animals. I'm not wonderful with facial details. I do like to draw eyes though; I would say that's a specialty of mine. Otherwise, I'll just find a random item that I like and I'll draw it." Trista chuckled lightly at the complexity of her drawing abilities, but was glad that Payton seemed interested in the subject. "What about you, Payton? Do you like drawing?" She asked him with a weak smile, hoping that she wasn't boring him too much by talking about her interest in it alone.

Payton couldn't help but feel attracted by how Trista pointed out her interest. It was if the both of them had the same thing. He wasn't the best a drawing the same thing. "I only sketch when I'm bored or when I have this idea in my head and I just have to place it on paper and work at it till its what I saw in my dream. Sometimes I get caught sketching on my homework, that's why I always have to re-write it. Like the day you caught me in the common room." He gave her a smile as he took a step forward towards the on coming wagon. He reached out and opened the door for Trista, "after you, ma'am."

"I suppose the same thing happens to me. Usually I'll draw when I'm upset in some way, or even stressed. The pressure somehow makes me better in skill, I believe." Trista laughed at how rediculous her theory sounded. "Really though, I always seem to draw better and in more detail when I am upset. But as for what I do draw, I usually have to wait until I see some object that I admire very much or get an idea from someone else. I'm not really too great at coming up with art ideas on my own." When Payton opened the carriage door for her, Trista gave a playful curtsy and said, "Merci, monsieur," and hopped up onto a seat.

"Figurati" Payton replied and stepped into the cab of the wagon taking a seat next to Trista. A few students behind him got into the cab into the other side filled up with three other students. Payton didn't feel much like scooting in close to Trista, he rarely liked cramped places, he took a deep breath through his nose as he tried to continue on their conversation on drawing to get his mind distracted by his phobia. "I guess, I have to make you mad one day and see what type of drawing you come up with?" he joked lamely, and lifting a hand to pull down on his shirt feeling stuffy. "What type of thing sets you off to make your draw as good as you say?" he continued with the questions feeling half grateful that the wagon began moving. The faster they got there, the more comfortable he'll be.
