Beline walked around the edge of the forest. The sun lightened on her bringing out the lighter color of her pattern. Her green eyes gleamed as the looked toward the forest. She was bored and the day was too bright for her liking. Sighing to herself she headed more into the forest. Maybe she would find something to do or someone to talk to.

Iyriddelmirev found herself on the out side of the forest's edges. Basking in the sun, if you will. She had flattened the lovely grass which she was laying on. Making it very easy for anyone to spot her coming out or into the forest. Her purple seemed to be very noticeable in the brownish yellow grass. Her red eyes partly opened watching a butterfly fly float around the grass trying to find a place to land. She could get up and try to eat it, but she was far too lazy.

One of her nine tails was tapping lightly in the grass making a soft crunching sound as she did. She was laying on her side, with her legs sprawled out to one side. For anyone who passed by, she might look as if she was dead. Unless they stared at her long enough to see her belly moving from her slow breathing.

She let out a sigh. Today really was a boring day. Nothing was happening, and that made things worse. She was so busy watching the butterfly, she didn't see the other in the distance not too far.

The orange female spotted something odd out of the corner of her eye. Stopping on her path she turned to look toward what she'd seen. There was another laying not too far away. A butterfly floating around in front of them. She glared at the little insect as she headed over.

Little insects bothered her to no end. When she got close enough to it, she carefully snuck up to it to squish it. Beline didn't even bother to ask what the other wanted to do with it. After squishing the little bug she looked toward the other. She hadn't seen one with nine tails before.

Iyriddelmirev watched something squish the little butterfly. How easily they were killed, it still amazed her. Lazily, she moved to her back so she could look up at the other. Bright orange filled her eyes, which made her close her red eyes as they adjusted to the brightness of the other. Which, it only took a moment to adjust to the other's colors. She noticed that the other wasn't just orange, it was also purple and white. Another thing she noticed quickly after, was it was a female. A smirk crossed her face.

Iyriddelmirev knew she was different when she was younger. The boys were nasty and all had cooties, but girls... Girls were different. They just seemed so much better to be around. Soon, she found herself attractive to females rather then males. "Well, That butterfly had no chance against you." She said a calm, yet gentle voice. "I'm Iyriddelmirev. " She introduced, but still was laying upon the floor. She made no hint of getting up.

Beline watched as the other moved to their back. It was then she fully realized she was speaking with another female. She couldn't help notice the other had red eyes as they looked up at her. Very interesting difference from her purple and blue coloring.

When she spoke it sounded rather nice to the ears, as it was gentle. Much different from her own voice that she knew to be rough. Sometimes it was even very uninviting. She flared her nose a little. "Butterflies are like all small bugs, a nuisance." She replied back her rough voice holding her disdain of the insect. Noting the other wasn't getting up she figured it'd be alright to lay down herself. "That's a long name, I am Beline."
PostPosted: Sun Aug 30, 2009 5:58 pm

"Just call me Iyriddel, or Riddel." She spoke as the other commented on her name. "Such a pretty name, you have" Though, that wasn't something she was surprised for someone so pretty as herself. "Butterflies are good for keeping flowers bloomed, same with bees." She said as if it was something very important. Which, to her, it was. She loved flowers, even if other's didn't. They made laying in the grass smell pretty. Though being almost autumn, all the flowers were dead or dying. The smell of them filled the air.

Soon, snow would roll in and take everything. Leaves were already beginning to turn brown on some trees. How pretty autumn was, yet how cold it was. Though Iyriddelmirev never noticed it. Her tails kept her warm in the winter at night. Plus she had a thick set of fur. Even thicker mane like fur on her head. Almost odd for her kind. Then again, she was odd all over. Nine fluffy tails, totally unlike most everyone else skinny long tail.

"What brings a pretty thing like you out here?" Sure she knew that scared away all the other females she had met. She couldn't help say it when it was true and needed to be said. It made her feel warm inside. Yet made other's creeped out. Though, she knew the feeling when a male decided he had a soft spot for her. She always just laughed at them and continued on her way, not giving them a seconds chance for any conversation.

She finally rolled herself to her side, then pushed up, so now she was sitting looking at the other. Bits of grass stuck to the side of her fur, but she ignored it. Not that she cared about a little bit of stuck grass. It shouldn't ruin any chance of meeting someone knew. She shook her head to make sure her mane went to the back of her head, and not anywhere else. It was annoying when it didn't do what she wanted.

"Alright then Riddel, and it's alright I guess." She looked to the sky as the other kept talking. Iyriddel's voice did have a slight calming affect keeping her from cursing the bright sun. Her tail flicked slightly over the grass before she spoke again. "They may be helpful, but that doesn't stop them from being bothersome." Although they were helpful, to her they weren't that helpful. Some pollens made her eyes water, the strong scents making her sneeze. Beline preferred softer harder to pick up scents. She twitched her ears slightly when the other spoke again.

Her eyes moved to look back at the purple female before her face followed. She blinked slightly before shrugging. "I was bored, the village is too crowded, the sun too bright. It was just happenstance, till that bug popped up." The disdain with the word bug was back. It didn't bother her that the other called her pretty. She was sure to get that a lot, from either gender. When the other shifted to an upright position she more noticed the mane Iyriddel had. "What are you doing out here?"

"I'm certain they probably say the same about us." She gave a small giggle. Her eyes didn't leave the other at all. It was almost like she was glued to look at the female. Her bright red eyes seemed to glow a tiny bit. Who'd want to look away from something they though was rather nice to the eyes?

"Enjoying a bit of quiet time." She spoke with a shrug. "I don't get much in the village area. Everyone always pestering me about my tails." She said with a shrug. She didn't really care, but she didn't like questions. At least not when they were thrown at her all the time. Who cares if she was different? Which the all happened to wrap around her on both sides. Four on one side, and five on the other.

Beline snorted and looked back toward the forest. "Too much noise is annoying, but too much quiet is nerve raking." She looked at the other through the corner of her eye, her tail thumping lazily on the ground. "They are rather fluffy." It was an idle comment. Really what did it matter she had so many? It probably made it a hassle when it got really hot. This made her thankful for her one slim tail.

"Besides, everyone has a right to be different." Her paw mused at the grass in front of her. She had a lot of pet peeves. One was being looked upon as strange, whether it was directed at herself or another. Others needed to learn that everyone is different. Whether that be in outward appearance, or inward personality. She sighed in a little agitation at her thoughts.

"That's why, my dear, you listen to what the land has to tell you." she said, now taking her eyes away from the female for the first time since she stood up. Looking towards the sky she closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. "For it's never too quiet out here" She spoke only the truth. Her eyes opened and slowly made their way back to the pretty thing in front of her. It wasn't love at first sight, but just an attraction. Iyriddel didn't believe in love at first sight.

"Indeed they do, even if most don't think they should." It was sad to know that was most likely true. Some creatures frowned upon those like her who were completely different tehn everyone else. She didn't care though. It wasn't like she could change the world with one say. It'd have to be something more.

She grunted lightly. There were times when it was too quiet, but she didn't want to argue the point. Mainly because she knew the other was also right. Noise filled the air all the time, you just had to know how to listen to hear it. With that thought in mind she got up and stretched. "Those who don't think they should just envy you."

Beline stood fully again and flicked her tail. Her ears twitched as she looked around. She was getting tired of just sitting there and wanted to walk. Perhaps her new acquaintance would like to as well. Mentally shrugging she looked back to the purple female. "Sitting here is dull, want to walk for a little bit?"
PostPosted: Mon Aug 31, 2009 9:04 pm

"I don't see why anyone should envy me." She spoke. Envy and jealousy were a bad thing to have. Though she knew that everyone had them, even she did, if she didn't want to admit it. She was jealous to see such pretty females off with such ridiculous males sometimes. But that was life. She tended to turn away and not pay attention to them if there were any around. Today was on her favor it seemed though.

Not wanting the female to just disappear yet, Iyriddel nodded at her in accepting a walk. "A walk would do nicely on these lazy paws." She sad looking down towards her feet. She stood up slowly and did a cat streatch, where her back was arched, tail was down, and her body seemed to squish together. It only took a moment, which she then shook each paw in cause she still had bits of grass on her. "Were would you be interested in walking?"

Her green eyes scanned abound before she looked back at Iyriddel. "Let's just follow a distant noise and see where we end up." She took a few steps to the right before pausing again. "And there is plenty of reason to envy you," she looked back at the other. "Your eyes for starters, are very interesting and only emphisy your lighter coloring." Her tail swayed back and forth slowly as she waited to see what her companion would do.

Her eyes? She didn't think her eyes were something to be envious about. Her eyes were bright, and she was dull. "Oh? I would have never guessed" She said with a raise of a brow.

"let our paws carry us to where ever!" She said with a little giggle. She took steps in the way the other had started to move. It seemed to be the way to go for now. She started walking without turning her head towards the other. "seems this is the direction the paws want to go." She said with a nod. Yep, this was indeed the way she wanted to go. It just felt right.

Beline walked next to her tail lightly swaying with each step. She was a little bemused by how Iyriddel had just spoken. This was the way to go she was sure herself. Something told her something would happen. Whether it was good or bad was yet to be seen.

"What do you do outside of lay in the sun?" She might as well work on getting to know her new companion. Especially if their walk didn't end anytime soon.
