Chape was bored. She had nothing to do,and was lying around under a tree near the shore, watching the seagulls fly over head."How I wish someone would come...but everyone is busy, summer is starting to end...."She continues watching the shore, but this time looking at the waves.

From the shadows of the trees, yet another wild kirin lurked. Though the mare's was a similar shade, the stallion's body was a brilliant golden yellow, his lower legs and muzzle a deep brown shade. Two white socks decorated his front legs; his left hind boasted a much longer sock, while his right had naught but a splash of white. His mane, tail, and the fur on his legs and chest were black as midnight. A collection of feathers, attached by the cajoling of the stallion to some once-met Quetzil, embellished his mane, fluttering in the soft wind. The black fur around both lavender-hued eyes rose in an expression similar to a human's as the stallion both saw and scented the light-colored mare. With a slight smirk, he stepped from the shady parts and onto the beach, his peachy hooves nearly vanishing in the sand. He strode up to the mare like he owned the coast, head and tail high, then took a few quick steps so that he was somewhat to her side, partly blocking her way to the beach, his head angled to look at her. "Well hello there, pretty," came his voice, a smooth, normal-toned vocal. "I'm Odin. What are you doing, just laying here all by your lonesome?"

Champe turned slowly to look at the male that blocked her view. She was forced to admit he wasn't that bad of a replacement. She immediately voiced her opinion out loud. "Why hello there!Although you are blocking my view you aren't a bad replacement..."She stands up and looks the stallion in the eye."My name is Champagne. You can call me Champe,if you'd like."She lightly trots deeper into the forest,to a bush full of berries, which she started eating.

The brute smiled at the mare's quick reply, and opened his white-blazed maw to answer; he was handsome, and he knew it. "I'm quite sure I'm no--" Then his brows furrowed as the mare--Champagne, right?--trotted off into the forest without listening to him. Why, the little--! Wait, no, he shouldn't get upset. She was bound to be like that. They all were, the pretty mares. Never listening to what he had to say, and just assuming the worst. His ears flicked back for a moment, then they returned to their forward position, the playful smile still on his pink lips. He trotted after her, then stood at her side, head towards her again in a similar position to his first, his crest arched. "Champagne, eh? A fine name, befitting a fine mare. But you didn't answer my question. What are you doing here, all alone? Shouldn't you be with a herd, or a big, strong stallion to protect you?" His lavender eyes glittered with a hidden meaning as his right hind leg, the one with the blue and red bracelet of beads and white splash, stomped once.

Champe notices how the stallion acts, and guesses his intentions. She bows her head as she flushes."I did not meet a herd or a stallion, because I'm too shy. You've noticed how I hide my face,or walk away from you.I'm simply too scared, although I want to meet someone, and talk to them."SHe looks him straight in the eye.

Odin simply cocked his head at Champe's comments. "Oh, really? Well, you've met me, and talked to me, so you can't be that scared, right?" As she stared at him, he turned his head and tried to look somewhere else, to get her to stop. As a general rule, that always freaked the buckskin stallion out. Where he'd come from, other kirin staring at him meant either you'd done something wrong, you looked stupid, or they were sizing you up for a potential meal. So when anyone else stared him right in the eye, he got nervous. Very, very nervous. He twitched his tail and stomped again. "I mean, come on. You seem kind of brave to me. I-I mean, you're staring me right in the eye. That can't be...too shy...right?" Ah, dang. There. He knew he'd crack eventually, he just had hoped it wouldn't be right then.

"A-ah-I'm sorry,it's just that I learned that if you look someone in the eye it makes me feel a little braver, although some Kirin don't like that.I can be a REAL fuzz tail sometimes."She bows down to him in apology"
