Authors Notes:
Well, what can I say? I was in my mom's office, waiting after a dentist appointment, and I got bored. So I just started writing and well, I kinda liked how it turned out and I thought I'd post it here to see if you guys liked it too. I wish I could've been a bit more subtle with it, but anyone whose watched the series will kinda be able to guess who I'm referring too, and just knowing ME and who I AM, you guys will probably facepalm. Haha, well, enjoy! : D
P.S. ANY reviews, suggestions, or comments would be nice. I'm thinking of perhaps doing multiple of these rants, so yeah. : D
Summary: A blurb on whom?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
His disposition was stoic, much as it always had been. He found things were always easier that way, when no one could read, understand, or even trust him. All attempt to probe him was put to complete and utter waste. After all he had been put through time and time again, it was a wonder he was even alive, but it should certainly be no wonder why his doors remained closed.
Many had approached him, all manners of odd deities, but whether the attack was a cheery, all-too-big smile or analytical eyes, no matter what strange tools they used, whether it be hammers or saws or crowbars, they were always met with a glare and the doors remained shut tight and his composure unscathed.
This was viewed as problematic to most, though no one outright challenged him, and in all truth he couldn't care less. Their behind-the-back whisperings were no concerns of his and if they had any sense of intelligence, then how he conducted himself should be no concern of theirs. It was a lesson he had learned early in life, earlier than he'd like to admit, that the best way to survive was to only concern one's self with one's self.
But life's not about surviving, it's about living.
The flight's only so long, hun, until you hit the ground. Hiei had been lucky enough never to have fallen that far.
I liked it. The break in narration at the end was especially endearing--it kind of reminds me of some of the introspective writing that I've done. Sometimes you just want to write to the characters and tell them things that you want them to know about themselves and the world.
Yeah. The last lines are my favorite. : ) It's so sad though if you think of it from Hiei's point of view though. I think he really is careful never to hit the ground again...
