talitha001 what do you base your poetry on? I base it on situations in my life a lot, but sometimes i base it on the lives of others. Or I just try to tell a story. It all depends.

usually, i'll just get inspired to write something, and then i'll just start writing it down. when it comes to poetry, i kinda prefer it to rhyme, but sometimes non rhyming poetry's not bad, but it's kinda boring without something like a rhyme scheme or some kind of pentameter

last poem i wrote without it being an assignment was one called 'prayer for blanca', which was for my dog after she got raped (yeah, i did not know dogs got raped also. i guess they do), but that was a few years ago. supposedly, it got published in a book and is copyrighted to me. i did not know that could be done.
