Sr. Weyrwoman Favan and gold Cheoth
24 and 4, respectively
A woman struggling to be sensuous given her limited curves and almost awkwardly tall height. Her lips are plump though, and her lashes are long, so at least her face is physically pleasing, in lieu of her body. Her hair could most generously be described as 'dirty blonde' and more accurately as 'mousey', though it does lighten considerably if she spends enough time in the sun. Her eyes are a pleasing hazel. The way Favan sees it, she was born to lead. She deserves the best and exactly what she wants, and doesn't care whose toes she steps on to get it. She has almost no respect for Helirra or any of her fellow Queenriders, and it's concealed beneath a thin veneer of contempt. She likes men, and she wants them to want her. Her body isn't built for that though, and it simmers in a sea of resentment in her body. Despite all these bad, mitigating factors, Favan IS a woman with a good head on her shoulders, if she could ever pull said head out of her a**. Cheoth is a good sized gold with a pale hide and a build that tends to lean towards bulky. She's commanding and wants the respect her rider demands. Don't get in Cheoth's way. You'll regret it!
Ex-Sr. Weyrwoman Thera and gold Fyorth
69 and 52, respectively.
Thera is weyrbred through and through. Considering how well this worked out for her, she rather likes to stick with this tradition and is known for discouraging Searches outside her Weyr. She also prefers to have males on fighting dragons and reserve the girls for the golds, so the golds may have the best choice. If a girl isn't a goldrider, they're better off in the kitchen or the crafthall, anyways. Thera is very fond of bronzeriders and it's very obvious. She often lets them get away with more than she should and usually puts a bronzerider in any sort of position of power (with E'ron's blessing, of course). She has six children, three of which have Impressed and one who is still Standing as a candidate. Her oldest son did not Impress and left the Weyr, for what, Thera does not care and refuses to speak to or about that son. She's incredibly proud of the second oldest, Th'arn, who Impressed a bronze and of her younger daughter, Ether, who Impressed the gold. Her older daughter stood, but there were no golds during her candidacy, so her failure to Impress was forgiven. She is very loyal to her mate and while she understands it is necessary she finally step down, Thera is going to be absolutely hostile until the new Queen Rises and E'ron is allowed to step down, as well.
Fyorth is larger for a gold and her ego is that much larger. Regal and haughty, she is very good with words and often uses them to cut others down. She really only tolerates bronzes and did not allow many other Queens in her Weyr (which leaves them in quite a pickle now). She considers them all her bronzes but is especially possessive of Ioreth, something fed by Thera's fierce attachment to his rider. Known for being incredibly savage on the Sands, Fyorth has now not Risen in over a turn.
Jr. Weyrling Ether and gold Oyameth
20 and 6 months, respectively.
Ether is Thera and E'ron's youngest daughter. She's much less outspoken than her mother, though no less opinionated. She's her father's girl at heart, preferring to go unnoticed and underestimated, especially when her mother starts trying to make a scene out of her. She always tries to keep from taking sides if her parents are arguing and Ether is known for being a middle man in most arguments. She's exceptionally good at seeing both sides of an argument, making her a very good mediator, but not such a good leader. She has potential, Ether is very firm if she ever reaches a decision, but she's easy to sway before she gets there. She's very caring and E'ron worries someone might be able to take advantage of that. Currently, she's thrown into caring for Oyameth and tries to ignore the politics surrounding her.
Oyameth is Ioreth's only daughter, and with a Jr. Queen, to boot. She's a bit small, but a bit gangly, and they hope she will fill out a bit more as she ages. Very independent, Oyameth is on a mission to protect Hers. Ether is very bright and Oyameth likes this, but she wishes Hers would stand by her opinions. She's boisterous and not terribly concerned with duty, something Ether has to get after her about, but usually gets away with it because Hers doesn't really get after her that well. (Much to Omayeth's dismay. Perhaps one day she'll learn to stand by her decisions.) She is, however, intensely protective of Ether, especially with flirty boys. Under the Impression bronzeriders will try to steal Hers away, Oyameth much prefers blues and greens.
Weyrleader E'ron and bronze Ioreth
63 and 48, respectively.
An ex-trader, E'ron is not nearly the staunch weyrbred his mate is. He Impressed his bronze at his first Standing and made Wingleader by the age of 22. Ioreth had already started Flying Fyorth by then, so when Thera and Fyorth were made Sr. Queens, it was only natural E'ron became the Weyrleader at the age of 29. He's a very sharp man, even at the age of 63, and has been very interested in tactics and politics all his life, though it is very rare indeed he'll actually cross Thera. He's very friendly and social, and may even come off as a bit ditzy or forgetful, but it's entirely on purpose. E'ron prefers to be underestimated and fly under the radar, only breaking into scenes when he's direly needed. He believes people should be left to their own devices, or they become dependent. He has more respect for greenriders and blueriders than his mate and also believes holdbred and craftbred should be allowed more opportunity to Stand. (He turned out just fine, didn't he?) He rarely fights that fight, however, because he doesn't enjoy confronting Thera. He honestly believes they should be a united front on and off the stage. He does, however, keep in touch with his oldest son. They visit occasionally during Gathers and the only way he gets away with it is because E'ron has always been a supporter of Harpers. This is the only secret he keeps from Thera. Somehow, he manged to escape the fiasco with the Jr. Weyrwoman generally unscathed. She had, in fact, set her sights on E'ron as her ticket to becoming to the Sr. Weyrwoman and coaxed her gold into letting Ioreth fly her. Thera had the Jr. Weyrwoman and dragon leave as soon as the clutch hatched. (Thusly leaving Thera and Ether as the only Queenriders at Igen.)
Ioreth is in every way, shape and form your average bronze of average height, color and size. He is, however, a very opinionated creature, and has a very particular way of doing things. He's even fussier than Fyorth, but is not, by any means, haughty or bossy like she is. He's just -organized- and he likes it that way. Apt to get fussy if people try to change his routine, Ioreth likes to be in charge so he can keep things the way he likes them. He also enjoys consulting with His solely because he likes giving his two-cents. Rather nosy, his memory is actually a little shorter than the average bronze and needs a fair bit of reminding now and then.
Weyrsecond Th'ran and bronze Kideth
30 and 12, respectively.
While simple wingriders, it's solely because Th'ran lacks the ambition to do more with himself. Well, until his mother pushed him into a position of power. Th'ran didn't earn that! He feels entitled to everything he has (and some things he wants) solely because he rides a bronze and his mother has done nothing but feed this disillusion of his. He often complains about the general lack of Queens, though he's well aware his mother is the one that keeps all the Queens in line (Fyorth just won't tolerate more than one or two other Queens), and is very sore his father's bronze caught the Jr. Queen and is the cause of her mother sending said Jr. Queen away. He's sure his day will come, he just has to wait on it. A gifted schemer, he is actually the most clever of all his siblings, but very rarely acts on any of his plots. The fact his mother is finally stepping down intrigues him and the arrival of a new Weyrwoman might be what it takes to finally get Th'ran's gears turning.
Much more motivated than Th'ran, it irritates Kideth to no end His is so very apathetic. Kideth feels like he has something to prove, especially being a runt of a bronze. The subject is very touchy and both rider and dragon are prone to snap (and snark) if it's brought up. Kideth actually chases greens with more frequency than most bronzes, much to Th'ran's dismay (especially since most greens are ridden by men at Igen), but there aren't any golds available. He is good at following orders, but better at giving them, and often feels the need to comment when he feels a leader isn't being effective enough. He is not a fan of Ioreth and often agrees with Th'ran's feelings towards his father and his dragon.
