Welcome to the 'Guide to Succeeding in Potions'. This guide will help you learn how to not fail in potions class.

This is a full proof guide to surviving your potion teacher's wrath and getting your homework assignments turned in on time, as well as earning lots of house points. Chapter 1
Your Teacher, Class, and Potions
You need to know your teacher. Personality, most common mood, what do they enjoy during class? Finding out this information will allow you to be able to 'suck up' to the teacher for some good grades. Make sure you don't overdo it or you may end up with some liquid death over your head. Keep in mind that not all professors are easy to gain trust or kindness out of. You need to make sure that you get on your professor's good side, or cower in fear. Keep in mind that cowering will get you no where.
Basic Questions
Here are some questions I advise you to ask on your homework, or ask your professor directly. You want to make it look as though you are really into the lesson, so that they will make it easier.
1. Is _____ really a potion that is good for everyday life?
2. have muggles ever used _______?
3. I loved this lesson! Can we have on that's harder? (NOTE: This isn't really a question, but it may earn you some bonus points and possibly a harder lesson next time.)
The Potions
You need to know what potions you will be making. We advise that you head over to the library and study up, knowing what the potion is when the professor announces it, allows you to answer questions easily; also known as, CHA CHING! House points!
There are many potions that are taught throughout the years at Hogwarts. make sure you know the ones that you will be learning in your current year. Learning the other potions ahead of time is good too, it may help you out during the years....
