Common Name: Whale Shark
Scientific Name: Rhincodon typus
Length: Up to 12.2 m (40 ft)
Weight: 15 tons
Food: Phytoplankton, macro-algae, plankton, krill, Christmas Island red crab larvae and small nektonic life, such as small squid or vertebrates.
Whale sharks are the largest fish species in the ocean. Slow moving at an average speed of 3 mph, their body is built for swimming and feeding. They filter feeders and just about harmless to humans. Many humans take enjoyment from scuba diving and snorkeling with these gentle giants with the only threat being accidentally hit by it's large tail. Whale sharks are ovoviviparous and give birth to live young which are around 40-60 centimeters long. Their lifespan has been estimated to be over 100 years, with maturity not being met until around 30 years where they can reproduce.

Personality: Skylar is a nice girl who is fairly quiet around people she doesn't know. She mainly keeps to herself and her few friends who she is very outgoing around, as long as she's known them long enough and feels comfortable around them.
Skylar is a fish enthusiast and as soon as she found out about the Merco operation she had to get involved. Living on the first floor of an apartment she had a small fenced in backyard that she quickly filled with blow up pool on sale from the local store, measuring about three feet deep.
