Haly grinned as she ran after him, having not ran this fast since she was a young cub chasing after her father. Pausing as the wind blew her hair gently, she looked to the lion whom she had just met, and yet felt as if she had known him for several lives. "You must teach me how you hunt, as I'm sure our styles are very different." she laughed softly.

"Perhaps someday." Jaronoth couldn't help but grin as his eyes flashed in her direction, "But don't expect me to give away all my secrets now." He moved down and clamped the goat's neck in his mouth before tossing the animal in her direction. "Fresh meat swelling in red liquid... the best damned meal known to lions." He gave a laugh and stepped near her, immediately nuzzling her against the cheek, "Don't you agree?"

Laughing, she nuzzled him back. "Yes of course. Though, fish are often quite delectable in themselves. My father taught me how to fish when I was still just a little cub...." pauses for a moment, memories rushing back to her as she holds back a tear.

Noticing the tears, Jaronoth took a step back, watching her carefully before pulling her close in a tight embrace, "He'll be alright Haly... I know he will be." He tried to smile though it was slightly fake, he wasn't entirely sure how to support her in this.

Smiling as best she could, she burrowed her head in his chest to wipe her eyes clean. "Your right. Do not let me spoil your mood. The gods will look after him, I am certain." pulls away and looks at him directly. "Now.. shall we eat?"

Jaronoth gave a quick nod and leaned down, swallowing down a sliver of goat as his eyes watched her carefully. "Haly..." He started quietly, "What do you want from this? From us?" He decided it was time to be blunt to figure out exactly what her intentions were with him.

Pausing in mid chew, her heart seemed to stop completely for a moment. Looking up at him slowly, she swallowed. "I want to be with you." she began truthfully. "But at the same time, I want to continue my heritage. To continue my fathers line of rulers.... but I do not feel that is what you wish, and it troubles me." she finished, feeling as if she must be completely honest with him. "I do not feel I could easily give one or the other up."

He watched her, a little taken back by the fact that she said she didn't feel it was what he wanted, he tilted his head in a curious manner, "What do you mean you don't think its what I want?" He frowned slightly, his eyes cornering her.

Glancing back down at her paws, she took a breath. "I do not know.... you said yourself you were different than I. I just.... did not feel you would be willing to change so ...easily." she said, managing a half grin. "I know I wouldn't..."

"Haly..." He began with a soft tone in his voice as he neared her. "Do you know why I am out here?" He questioned softly as he leaned his muzzle down toward her ear, "I'm out here as a punishment... this place has been my prison forever more. It may take me a long time to get use to things, but I remember what it was like to be nobility... and if anything... I think I would remember how to do it again." He gently nuzzled her ear to reassure her.

Glancing up at him, a smile tugged at the corner of her jaws. "You don't know how happy you make me. How alive you make me feel." she whisper to him as she leaned into his nuzzling. She laughed slightly, as he warm and inviting scent now mingled with that of blood and it reminded her of why they were out here to begin with. "Again, I have distracted you from what you came out her to accomplish..."

He gave a light smile and wrapped a paw around her, pulling her close to him. "Perhaps... but you are now my world Haly... and if you wish to continue your line.. and what nothing else from me but for me to bare you children so that one of them could take over your throne than that is what I would do. I am yours for as long as you might want me." He looked into her eyes, "And because of that everything else is secondary, even what I came out here to accomplish." He let out a laugh.

Blushing deeply, Haly let her head rest on his chest as she listened to his heart beat. "You would really do that for me?" she asked him, shutting her eyes. Most males she had met were only interested in the power, not the family part that she desired. "I would do anything for you." she whispered, much more softly.

He gave a nod, "If that is what you wanted. Though I admit, I would prefer being with you." A laugh resounded from his throat as he nuzzled her. He then leaned closer to her ear, "I'm falling in love with you Haly... It has been much too long since I have met any female with as much fire as you have.. you have given my old heart hope again."

Haly grinned. "My father always told me I was born from a single flame of Ra." she laughed and nipped his ear gently. "I want you to be with me always." she whispered as she took a step backwards to gaze upon his entire figure.
