To you, Mr. piece-of-crap-oboe-guy, it will get better, I promise. I'm only on another plastic, (my second- a Fox), and it's better than a Yamaha. And woodies are better than reisen, and so on... Where was I going with this? I don't know. Anyway, this place is awesome!

Kilita Visiting family for Thanksgiving. The usual... 'Twas lots of fun! And scales ARE fun! Of course they are! They build emboushoure (can't spell it) and breath support and... jeebus, I think I'm channeling my oboe teacher. Why, Rob? WHY?! ah yes visiting....always fun fun domokun for emboushoure[sp] i just play a really long piece straight through (skipping big rests though) and breath support im already good at....if the tempos at a moderate tempo i cant sustain a note for like...i dont know, longer than the other oboes lol

G-g-guess what? Yesterday in band... I BEAT THE LEAD TRUMPET! On a jazz rhythm, no less! We're playing this song, and no one could play this five-measure syncopation set, and I tried and it worked! My hands are still shaking so much I can hardly type...
I think I'm taking this brass/woodies rivalry thing way too far. Ah well.
