Something really sad happened the other day. I was walking to the store to get something to drink. 2 blocks from the store I saw this cat. It was white with black spots. It was really cute. I petted the cat and left to store. After leaving the store, at the end of the block. I saw the cat cross the street at the wrong time. Four cars were coming and it got hit. I ran into the street, with cars coming and grab the cat from out of the street so it wouldnt get hit again. It was bleeding a lot. It looked liked I killed someone, but it was still alive. Some guy a crossed the street told me the owner to the cat was at right a cross from him. He rang the door bell while I checked on that cat. The owner came, cried... and said her cat wasnt going to make it. I told her the cat will make it if she gets it to a vet immidately. I told her what to do with the cat while she got it to the vet. She left and I went home.
The next day I went to the store and the cashier guy told me thank you. I didnt know what he was thanking me for. Then he told me that the cat I got out of the street was his mother's cat. AND GUESS WHAT.... The cat is still alive and is going to make a full recovery. His mother has decided to buy me a gift card for Olive garden. Isn't that cool. I am so happy the cat is going to be alright.

omgg I am happy the cat is alright too! (that card for olive garden isn't bad either! lol) He probably will be a little afraid from now on to even want to venture outside! He better take a bit of a breather!
;-; I would be so devastated if my cat got run over. He is indoor now, because I moved to a new neighborhood, but still....o.o;;

Yeah, the city isnt a good place to have pets really unless you have a really nice house with a big fenced in yard but that wont stop the cats from getting hurt. Which is sad. But I would rather my cat be happy and free even with the risks of it getting hurt than have cat locked up and miserable. You know what I mean. But I would keep my cat inside for a while if it got hit and lived.

This first made me very sad crying then when I read the kitties okay, I got all happy inside 4laugh
Not alot of people would risk their life like that. They'd say "Oh no! Poor kitty" and keep walking, just assuming nothing can be done for it.
You are like, my hero xd

Oh, wow... What a terrible thing to witness... I'm so glad the cat is going to be okay. That reminds me of a cat my mom, sister, and I found running around by a busy road. There weren't houses nearby, so we didn't know whose cat it was, but we didn't want her to get run over. We rescued her and took her home, but then later found out she had kitty lukemia and my mom had the vet put her to sleep. It was pretty sad...

My kitty Died! She was 2 and half years old. She was a black Calico. My cat couldn't have kittens properly because her Uterus didn't develope correctly. She went through many pregancies but all the kittens died or were still-born. Well after her last litter... of one. She got really sick... So I did everything anyone can do for an i'll cat without taking them to a vet. I noticed how much pain she was in.... so I took her to The Humane Society to be put to sleep. They told me she had Lukemia which was probably caused by her miscarriages. They said it was good thing because of it...but I felt so depressed and bad. I felt like I was punishing her for being sick. When the vet took her back she just looked at me and meowed. It was heartbreaking.
If it wasnt for the fact that I was practically homeless, I would have taken her to a vet. I feel so guilty, like I shouldn't be allowed to have another pet. And... I guess what my little sister said about me is true... that I am horrible person for taking her in... but... I couldnt let her suffer. If I was dying in that much pain I would want someone to end it too, you know.
