Sounds of birds and various other swamp creatures, such as toads and insects, could be heard through out the swamps. It just took one brave adventurer of a cub to ruin it all. And that adventures name was Tahki.
On ward she ran screaming "YEEEEHAAAAA" as she went. The music of the swamplands quieted as the blue white cub darted through the muddy banks of the swamp. So small yet so brave this cub was. She alerted all and everything to here where abouts and could not have cared less.
It just took a small rock to stop her. Tahki tripped and landed face first into a small puddle of mud. The small blue cub lay still for a moment like she had died... only to rise back up and laugh. Her paws, and now her face were a murky brown. Tahki wasn't one to really worry bout her appearance though. She didn't care.
Now the swamps echoed with her laughter instead of the swamp creatures music.

 Nn, what was that sound?
Small ears flicked as the youth tried her best to avoid the ruckus in the distance. With eyes still closed sleepily, the girl curled closer to her brothers as they continued their late nap. After all, the trip to these Swamplands had been a long travel. She could swear that even in her sleep that her little feet still felt sore. And now all she wanted to do was rest.....
Then the noise changed its tune, and blue eyes peered open in a dazed agitation. Now it wasn't screaming and yelling she heard...but it was laughter. Unable to resist, the lioness named Shinda opened her mouth in a wide yawn before glancing around. All her siblings were around and accounted for, but where was mother? This made the cub wide awake, and her fearful curiousity made her stand up. "Mother?...." There was no answer.
Figuring her brothers didn't know their mother's whereabouts, Shinda let them sleep on. She wouldn't wander far, only in a small circle to see if her mother was nearby. Perhaps whoever was....howling would know where the adult went.
So, heaving a sigh, Shinda trotted out from the huddle to find this loud local.

Tahki was indeed a loud local. She seemed to be the only one unaware of her improper behavior. Wandering off , for one, on a regular basis and going on adventures through out the swamp lands. Also causing chaos through out the local lizard community.
But Tahki was a brave, self proclaimed, adventurer. Adventurers never stayed put and they never turned down a chance to stop those evil lizards. Nope, they headed in full heartedly and mangled the demon lizards.
But right now she just sat back and howled with laughter about her tripping. Half of her laughter was relief and the other half was just her ego. The fall hadn't hurt her. Was that the best trick those demon lizards had?
"COME ON! YOU CAN DO BETTER THEN THAT!" The lion smiled and turned her nose up proudly. She was a brave adventurer indeed.
The fact another cub was close by hadn't accorded to her yet.

While the blue girl may have been loud and rambunctious, Shinda tended to be quiet when it wasn't playtime. Also, she knew her family was trying to sleep and kept that in mind as she wandered around. Though it was hard for her to deny, this new land was veeeery interesting. All the different textures of the ground, some mushy and others sinking. It was really different from the Savannah they had traveled across. It was stirring up her cravings for an adventure....
But no! Not right now, she had to find mother first! Shaking her thoughts out clearly, the cub continued her search. Of course the mysterious laughter continued in the air, and it wasn't until Shinda rounded a crooked tree did she find the source. She peeked around the wood at the other, grateful that it was another youthful lion. She seemed friendly enough....but then the striped cub jumped as the other shouted.
"Yip!" Had she been spotted? Was the blue one yelling at her to get lost?!" Confused, Shinda looked around to see if maybe there was someone else in the area. But no, just them two.
Stepping out carefully, the girl tried to chat with the other. "Erm, I'm sorry? I was just passing through..."

"YOU DEMON SCUM! COME ON~" She chimed again and then let a little yip of her own when the brown striped cub revealed her self. The lion's chest deflated and her ears flattened a bit. Tahki had no idea that another cub had been near by.
"Sorry?" The blue cubs voice was a little far away, "I... I didn't know you were there." The lions ears flipped back up and she took a step forward really looking at the other. She didn't smell like the swamp.
"You're not from around here are you?" The lioness took another step forward a wicked smile on her face. "Are you a lizard in disguise ? Or are you an adventurer from a far away land? Choose you're answer carefully cause we got a way of handling lizard demons here," The wicked smile looked more twisted now. Of course, Tahki was only playing. Partly. She really did believe lizards had a private agenda against the pride. Tahki did not believe they could shape shift. She knew this was a cub in front of her.
Still, some times Tahki's over active imagination could make her come across as a bit... scary.

Shinda blinked and raised a brow as the other girl yelped suddenly. Where had all that loud courage gone now? If she was guessing right, Shinda would say she had scared the cub. How odd....
Grinning, the brown girl walked forward towards the other. "Really? I thought you were talking to me earlier. Why so loud?" But she had apologized, and Shinda took that as some sign of kindness from the other. Although.....
The girl shook her head when asked about being a Swampie local. No, this wasn't her home. But maybe someday, if mother wanted it to be? Not too sure on the subject, Shinda was about to speak again until she noticed something. What was with that smirk the other had? "L...lizard?" Shinda stepped back in confusion for a moment. Was the other teasing her? Threatening her? Well, if she can handle a pack of brothers, she could certainly handle one other girl! Giving her own smirk, the cub swished her tail. "Come on now, if I was a lizard my tongue would be forked. Is yoooours forked?" >3

Tahki raised a brow and grinned, "You're right!" The lion took a bold step forward, obviously peering at the others mouth. Tongue seemed to be a normal sandpaperish feline type... from where she was standing at least.
"Okay, you check out. " Tahki grinned, "If you were a lizard I'd have to battle you. But since you seem to be a lion. My names Tahki. What about you?" She tilted her head.
Tahki was a friendly cub. Had an overactive imagination but she was pretty friendly.

"Of course I'm right!" The girl laughed at the other's energy, before covering her mouth shyly. She had forgotten to keep it down for her sleeping family nearby. "Oh, but please keep the battles quiet...ish? My brothers are trying to take their nap." Shinda nodded seriously, almost as if she herself were the mother. Hey, someone had to act like an adult since there was only one parent. Right....right?
"The name's Shinda'nohinei. But you could just call me Shinda or Inei." The girl nodded with a soft smile, obviously bonded with her given name.

Tahki laughed too and mirrored covering her maw. It looked like fun and she wanted to try. What a fun game.
"Alright I'll be quiet. " The cub gave the other a reassuring wink, "My names Tahki. Nice to meet you Shinda. " Tahki gave the cub a nod. "So what are you doing out here in adventures paradise? "
The cub liked to think of her self as a brave adventurer. Some would just say Tahki was just to imaginative .. or crazy.

"Heh, well thank you." The young girl nodded happily, glad the other wasn't going to argue the issue. Like some of her own loud and silly brothers. Blinking, Shinda quirked her brow while tilting her head an inch. "Adventure paradise? Is that really where we are?" The lioness looked around with curious eyes, trying to find some clue to the title. But then again...this blue girl did seem a little.....energetic and imaginative.
"Aaaanyways, I'm here with my family after a long travel. We were supposed to meet someone, but he's not here anymore." At that her ears turned down, still not happy with that news. Had their traveling been for nothing?
"So, were you born here? Or....?"

Tahki nodded again, so fast you would think her head would roll off her shoulders. "We sure are," Tahki whispered trying to keep her voice as low as she was able. This was a fun game.
"You're looking for some one? Sounds like an adventure. " The lioness smiled, "No I've been in the swamps all my life. One day I hope to get out and see the rest of the world for my self. When I get to go find my name. I can't wait. Its gonna be filled with adventure and danger and lizard killings." It was an effort to keep her voice down as she ranted on about adventure. It was just so exciting, how could she be quiet about it?
"Are you and your family continuing onward on your adventure?" The cub tilted her head and her ears flopped with the motion.
