Oh my, the sun really was hot. Mauja had taken to lounging in the shade of trees for the majority of the day, while the sun was still high in the sky. Traveling around dusk was always fun, for various reasons. Female lions were usually out hunting, so he could always find a fun time with someone. But for the most part, it was a lonely journey.

As he eyed the sky, he felt that the sun had moved far enough away from him so he could comfortably walk on to his next pitstop. Or his next bout of fun. The tall grass rubbed against his belly and sides, and he found his eyes scanning around, looking for another creature to spend his time with.

User ImageThrough the drying, heated lands, a half black form zigzagged through the tall savanna grasses; what wind created from this movement swept by joyfully from their ecstasy-driven birth, and the partially dusky colors of a female cheetah flew by, the criminal of the act. The ground behind her was left in a startling scatter of dust and pebble remnants, and the search was on.

Paws were lined with crackling mud, and it was apparent that the small feline had taken to some source of water beforehand, which must have been a refreshing sight to see for those trudging on the course of the tired, sweltering day. She contrasted against today's life in the plains, filled with energy begging to be whittled down into submission. And so the cheetah moved on, a blissful expression on her face, sometimes going with the flow to the extent of letting her eyes close for long enough to pass the mental picture she had of where she was going.

When she realized she neared a patch of trees that provided shade underneath, eyes flickered happily towards a small pond that led way to a trickling path beyond the covering grasses. She made a leap - bold, and instantly - and if anyone had gotten in her way, they should hope that they had tough skin or fortified bones to brace the rushing female, or a strong heart to accept her surprising presence.

The sun seemed to have totally fried Mauja's brain, as he didn't notice at all the cheetah that came at him. In all honesty, he had thought that he was going to pass out before he made it somewhere cool.

"My my, what sweet little thing do we have here?" he had been knocked down onto the soft dirt, though the grass was a little less friendly in welcoming his mass as he fell. "Like a rhino you are, love." he smiled, raising a thin eyebrow at the streaky cheetah. She had looks, he had to admit, as his orange eyes traced her figure. He rolled over, firmly planting his paws on the ground as he lifted himself up, stretching out his back in the process.

As soon as the female realized she had somehow trampled over fur instead of dirt, she doubled back, eyes widening in bewilderment and embarrassment. She studied the very brown form in front of her, registering it as a guy of her own kind. She was about to flash into a quick succession of apologies, though she couldn't tell how much of the floor he had endured because his own coat matched the color of the ground, and he looked relatively happy for a guy who just got run over by a girl.

"Huh?" was her first response to his question, forgetting that her greeting should have been something else entirely, "I... I'm sorry!"

She then rushed to the brown male's side, inspecting his joints and ankles without his permission, and patting a paw to his flank to dust what dirt could have clung onto him from the ground. It was the least she could do for her sudden intrusion, after all.

"I know I knocked you down but you don't have to call me a rhino," she scolded, putting a small frown on her face - though she couldn't make it last long, so soon enough it switched right back to an amused expression.

"I'm Kuchwa. Well, nice bumping into you!" she giggled as she focused her attention back onto the pond just behind the cheetah male, starting to scamper to it; normally, she would be the first to start a friendly chatter upon encountering someone, but the beckoning of the cooling liquid simply was too tempting for occasional distractions.

Females did such strange things. Such very strange things. Mauja had never been examined before. He had played 'doctor,' but that was an entirely different circumstance. No need to even think about it.

"Love, don't apologize. You've only made my day brighter by bumping into me." Brighter, yes. Much brighter. A nice, fun, bright friend to spend some time with. That's all he had been asking for today. "And don't take it as an insult, sweetheart." He coiled his tail around her, not wanting her to scamper off before she did. "I like girls with some....power." he flicked his eyes up at her, nose pointed in the downward direction he had been looking previously.

Mauja's smile faltered, almost turning to dismay as the female just got up and left. Not many females ever wanted to leave his side, especially not this soon. It made his head spin. "Now now, darling, where are you running off to so fast? You should lay down, relax...." he trotted next to her as she headed towards the pond, not realizing that it was her true aim.

If females did strange things, males were the ones who said strange things. His words were almost lost to Kuchwa as she slipped her focus away from the brown cheetah, until she felt the physical tug of his tail, and was frankly surprised by the touch. It was only then that she concentrated on remembering what he had just said just seconds earlier, and tilted her head in puzzlement. When she couldn't make out what kind of message he was trying to send, she brought her own tail outwards to playfully bat his away, though she meant nothing really by the action.

"Why would you want to get hurt?" she inquired thoughtfully; the male before her was surely joking.

"Oh, okay then! Power? I'm not very powerful," Kuchwa offered another girlish giggle, "Unless you're weak. Then I could be!"

Kuchwa had been oblivious to the stranger's change of expression, and when she had run off, she didn't bother looking back. Had he wanted to join her, she would welcome it, but the appeal of her ultimate goal was the only thing on her priority. Again, she barely heard him when he spoke, until she managed to reach her destination, finally. As soon as she was there, she wasted no time and dipped her mud-stained paws into the water, her head going in next for a brief moment. It was a wonderful feeling, and also one of her favorite hobbies of life--playing with water.

She turned back, realizing that the brown male had followed her, and chuckled, glad that he came along. Kuchwa then swiped through the pond in the other's direction, hoping to splash him; all the while, a grin appeared on her face, indulging in the moment.

"Why relax when you can run, laugh, and live?" Kucha swished her tail eagerly in the water, gaze now able to be taken by the other cheetah. Well, if he wanted to stay here, she might as well ask him who exactly he was.

"What can I call you?"

"No pain no gain, sweetheart." Mauja circled around to the side of her as she dunked her paws into the pond. "And I can be anything you want me to be." If she wanted him to be a submissive, spineless thing, well, he'd suck in his pride and do it. Until the fun was over, of course.

Feeling droplets of water hit his face, Mauja smirked, letting his tail drop into the pond, soaking it with water before he flicked it in her direction, wanting to get her wet as well. He found that water seemed to be a common denominator between all of the girls he had played with. Something about it just seemed to draw them to it.

"I find, darling, that one can relax and have a wonderful time all at once." He stared at her, a smile growing on his maw. "And there's always laughing when I relax." Though, he was never the one laughing. And it wasn't 'laughing,' as much as squeals and giggles. So maybe he lied. Just a bit.

"Call me Mauja, love." he threw his head back, tusling around his small mane. "And what can I call you, princess?"

If Mauja had been alluding to anything at all through his speech, the excitable female cheetah did not get it. Despite his meaningless words, she found him still fun - he was playing along with her, and not being a spoilsport was all that mattered for the moment!

So she giggled as the flecks of water found their way onto her pelt, but before she could progress it further into a water fight, his words made her stop and think. His increasing smile went unnoticed, though if she had seen it, she would have questioned why he seemed so happy.

"I'm no princess, am I?" she responded, losing herself to a bit of giggles as she went on, thinking about what nonsense that made, "But you can call me Kuchwa, okay?"

Her paws then escaped the confines of the watery ground as she turned to face Mauja, wiggling her body in anticipation of a new game - if he had one - and it seemed like he did! Though she wasn't sure how relaxation fit into a game, though she was more than curious enough to find out how.

"How do you... do all of that at once?" she asked, eyes brimming with eagerness, "Mauja, don't taunt me with your secrets!"

Watching the female wiggle around was hypnotizing to the brown cheetah, mainly due to the markings that ran along her sides. Mauja smirked, glad to see some excitement in her eyes. Although, the thought of explaining how relaxation and fun could happen all at once gave him a tingly feeling.

"You can be my princess for awhile." He curled his tail around a back paw, squeezing it tighter as a snake would. "My sweet little Kuchwa." Moving his tail away from his paw, Mauja lightly tapped it on the bottom of Kuchwa's chin. It seemed so small, in comparison to the broad tip of his tail.

"Well, I suppose I could tell you the secret to it." He winked, a small smile on his maw as he looked down at her eager face. "Find someone....interesting......" He began to circle around her, playing with her fur using his tail as he did. "And just....." He purposefully left the sentence hanging, wanting to see her reaction. Her eagerness was adorable, he had to admit, and teasing her was just too much fun for him.

"Awhile?" Kuchwa had to repeat; surprisingly, a small frown came to her lips as she acknowledged how temporary the moment was.

"Hey, you don't know me well enough to say that," she began to oppose, "For all you know, I'm sour and difficult."

Despite her disapproval, she couldn't help but smile again as Mauja started to tap and toy with her using his tail - it was something unusual, but it was also... a little pleasant to feel, as it tickled.

Mauja's explanation was being delivered rather slowly; if she didn't know any better, he was just making it up as he went along! Catching onto his dirty trickery, Kuchwa leaped onto the male's tail, attempting to pin his movement from advancing any further. She was sure his words trailed off purposely, and she dared to bend over to lightly bite his tail in punishment for not getting straight to the point.

"Are you going to say something or not?" she asked, a ring of challenge in her voice; was this other cheetah confident enough to tell her of his exact intentions, whatever they happened to be?

"Am I interesting to you?" she added questioningly.

"Well, maybe I can get to know you a little better." Mauja smirked at her, slithering his tail round and round her paw. He had to admit, it was kind of fun being pinned down by a girl. Very fun indeed. At least she wasn't aggravated by his words, right? It always seemed like a hassle having fun with an aggravated female, so he was glad to have such a spunky one.

"Well, how about I let your imagination finish the rest of that strategy, hm?" His smirk was devious, and he only hoped that she got the right idea, which he assumed she did, given her next question.

"Interesting?" His mouth was slightly gaping, and he lightly ran his tongue around its edges. "Interesting enough for a play date with me." Date. Yes, date. That was the only word Mauja really focused on in his mind. Sure, they could actually play; games always made things more fun, regardless of the aftermath.

To Kuchwa, Mauja was nothing more than another cheetah who possessed the same kindred spirit as she. For one, he wasn't very shy with his words, despite being very vague in articulation. Second, like her, Mauja was comfortable with touch and feel, and being close in proximity despite having just met. Being very young, and having never been very experienced with many harsh realities of life, Kuchwa succumbed to the blissful thought that Mauja would make a really good running partner, and simply that.

"But we're already playing!" she replied cheerfully at his words.

"And you're no fair," she added, beginning to lift from pinning Mauja down, "If I started telling you about how I did something, I'd actually tell you. Or at least show you."

Kuchwa then successfully removed herself from the brown cheetah, pointing her body away from his. A high raise of the head and point of the nose indicated the pout she was in, and it was only inevitable that a harrumph was heard, followed by the thump of a displeased tail.

"If you have nothing I can learn, maybe I'll find a better teacher," Kuchwa added, looking back at him with a hinted glint in her eyes.

"No fair?" Smirking a bit, Mauja leaned up, following her movements carefully. He could never be sure with females whether they were being serious or kidding. Usually, he sided with the joking side, just to be careful.

"My dear, that sad look is unbecoming of you." His brow eased, and a small smile seeped onto his face. He slinked after her slowly, almost swaying as he did. "And pouting will only make me want to smother you more." He came up close behind her, nuzzling her back.

"You want me to teach you something?" A devious smirk arose, and he circled around her. His tail twitched a bit; it was a manneurism that he had picked up whenever this kind of conversation came up. "I can teach you amazing things, love. They're just lessons meant for adults only." He ran his tongue up the back of her neck, taking the initiative from the look she gave him.

Kuchwa had to admit, she liked the way the brown male was mimicking her moves; he was watching her, and that was what made her think he appreciated her company the way everyone should. Of course she was a fun girl!

Despite Mauja's words, Kuchwa kept the displeased lines of a near frown on her face, though more in rebellion instead of actually being upset. She didn't expect much assertion from him, especially after teasing her all the time. So it came as a little yet nice surprise when he let himself run through her back, and she shivered pleasantly from the sensation; she couldn't help herself. So Kuchwa stopped in her tracks, attempting to maintain the dissatisfied look on her face when she was being circled, her head still raised up high as if she were a superior looking down on someone; she did all of this in a playful way, and wasn't actually serious about it.

"Learning isn't bad," she said softly, not really noticing any action out of the ordinary Mauja was exhibiting, until he licked her.

A reflexive giggle came out, and Kuchwa looked down with a hint of embarrassment. But she liked that, so she thrust her head under his, opening her mouth to gently bite a partial scruff of Mauja's neck.

"And if I'm not an adult," she said through muffled teeth, "You're still gonna be a bad guy anyways, hmm!"

Her tail then struck out to rapidly curl around the nearest leg of Mauja's it could reach, and lightly tugged, thinking it would be a little fun if she could make the guy fall again. Or if he wanted to take control, that wouldn't elicit an objection, either.

"Such a sweet little thing." Mauja leaned into her fur, inhaling the wonderful smell that was completely female. "You make me so......anxious." Her act was amusing, and it only made him want her more. He quite enjoyed spending time like this with anyone, even if it didn't lead to any 'magic.'

"What? Bad guy?" His brow dropped, in a comical sad face, trying to think about what she meant by the expression. "You gonna tame this bad guy, little girlie?" Cocking a brow, a devious smile arose, quickly flipping expressions.

Feeling the tug on his leg unexpectedly, Mauja's torso fell to the ground, his back legs remaining intact as his front legs took a tumble forwards. He fell to the side, his rear falling a few moments later, making a small dust cloud around his frame. His tail curved into the air, not wanting to be the last to fall. He used his last moments in freefall to grab out at the cheetah, wanting to make her fall down with him. He laughed as he hit the ground, though, glad to be with such a spunky female. "If you wanted to be on top, you could've just told me." He eyed her, grinning from his place on the ground.
