The previous nights endeavors had been boring. There was no one upon their boarders, which would be a good thing, but Caide wanted something more. Something fascinating to happen. He knew, though, nothing like that ever would. It was just some childish dream of his.
Tonight, though, he might take someone with him to keep him company. His cousin had gone her own way, and that left the adolescent very bored. Caide as one of the few who got along with that particular cousin. "Whatever," he mumbled to himself, stepping towards the watering hole to see which of their lucky members would get some hands on training.
Caideiseach knew there were a few juveniles were wanting to become Ghosts like him. It would make things even more interesting. He spotted one, a little boy with white and brown on him and grinned. Tilting his head to the side, he moved up behind the boy, silently, like he'd been taught and got as close to his ear as possible before breathing into it and then side stepping to the water as if nothing had ever happened.

Urzlan was exploring his new home and was getting more use to the fact that this new place would be his new home. he had gone to the watering hole to get a drink. ears pinned back when someone came close to his ear then moved away to the water. " what was that for?" it was more than obivious it was the male beside him that had done it since no one else was about or close to him. " and dont try to pretend it wasn't you....."

A chuckle bubbled from his chest as he lapped up at the water. "Perceptive little thing," he said with a grin, head tilting to the side, watching him. He stretched out and shrugged a bit as he looked the other male over, grinning to himself. It seemed this one would do good as a Ghost! How good was he at picking them?
"It was me. Not going to deny that.... anymore. I'm Caideiseach, a Ghost," he said with a grin, hoping to get the others interest with that line. Laying down on his stomach, his front paws dipping in the water, Caide yawned long and hard before shaking his head. "Do you want to come on patrol with me? See how it's done?"

Urzlan hufffed a bit and almost glared at the other male. he didn't even know him at all and here he was acting as if they here buddies. " I'm Urzlan." really there wasnt a huge age difference between them." i'm surpised you would randomly ask me to go patroling with you when you barely know me." if it had been one of his close family to have asked him, he would of said yes right away. but seeing as he just met Caideiseach, he was more warry of going off patroling with him, regardless if he was one of the pride memebers."why do you ask if i wanna go anyways?" tilting his head some, it was true he was interested in becoming a ghost to help protect the pride, but only his sister Urvi knew that.

'Why do I ask? To see if you can make it as a Ghost in this pride," he said as if it was obvious. The littler male had every right to be suspicious. Hell, Caide knew he would be, too. So, with a good natured laugh, the white and gray male moved away from the other and padded towards the boarders, motioning him to follow. "It's not as hard or as scary as you might think. Half the time, there isn't anyone out here. But we do get to greet the hunter parties when they get back, make sure there isn't anything following the scent of a fresh kill."
That had been fun. On his first patrol with another, that's what they had done. They got to help the hunters with the bigger kills and then he chased off a baby wild dog, while his teacher got the mother away. There wasn't a fight or anything, a few well placed growls and roars, and everything was taken care of.

Urzlan frowned with pinned back ears, debating wether or not he should truely follow him. giving a sigh after a moment, he decided to go since it ment maybe he could have a bit of adventure. he was too use to his sisters adventures that where made up and wanted to really go on one for once. so this probably was the best opertunity he had to go on one. " alright." following Caide's lead, he was courious now more than ever as to what they would experince, doing this potrol.

With a chuckle as Urzlan followed him, Caide led the other male beyond the boarder and into the mist, automatically blending in with it. It wasn't his fault, he was white! Turning to look, he grinned at the other who almost blended as well.
"See? You're blending better. Now, since you've got color on you, might want to stick with trees or behind bushes." He wasn't trying to be mean or anything, he was stating the obvious.

Urzlan just gave a shrug of his shoulders. " not hard to blend when your mostly white with spots of brown, Caide." shaking his head with a small smirk, Caide really seemed to love to state the obvious. "now where exactly are we going anyways?" flicking his tail about, he was getting a little bored though he was curious how things where gonna play out.

A laugh bubbled from Caide as he listened to the other and his tail flicked a bit. So the other had a back bone and had a mouth on him. All the better if he could spot a newcomer in the mists that Caide had already seen. It shouldn't be too hard, what with the red and black on this figure. But something about this other put Caide on alert. He shut up and ducked down, crawling towards the lone figure.
What pride had those colors? Why couldn't he remember where those colors came from? An annoyed noise left his throat as he circled around, purposely snapping a limb under a paw to get a reaction from the other.Vestip was a bit lost. Ok, so a bit was a complete understatement. He was utterly lost with no luck of finding a way back, and this mist was just annoying the rouge lion even more. Tense, he made his way through the mists, slow, trying to see ahead of him.
A snap ripped a growl from him and he turned sharply to the noise, growling lower in his throat. He was letting whoever was around know that he meant business should they try to attack him. He was NOT going to be caught off guard.

Urzlan's ears pinned back when the intruder was spotted. bright red was too easy to spot here and it made him on edge. "what are we going to do now? i dont think that intrude will leave just from a bit of noise." he gave a soft growl as he had no experiance running off intruders, but really twig snapping and one annoyied noise was childs play alest to him it was. tail lashing about, he stayed close to Caide and waited for him to do more than give a annoyed noise and snapping a twig. so far it seemed the adventure he wanted was happening.

Why was the other talking? Looking to Urzlan, he motioned him to stay quiet. Some of the easy scar tactics wouldn't work on this other, it seemed, but the more difficult ones probably would. Circling around the red maned one in the mists, Caide thought a moment before grinning. He moved over to a pile of rocks he had stashed away for just an occasion like this and sat down in front of them. Lifting a big one with two paws, he dropped it on another rock, causing a loud, sharp noise.
Another noise and Vestip turned; he couldn't tell where it was coming from. It was echoing and repeating several times. He growled again and stated walking, this time he took a turn to the left, not towards the pride, but towards Caide. Something was trying to scare him. It was starting to work; but he had heard a returning growl and a few whispers. Whoever was out there, they sounded young.

Urzlan stayed quite and kept hidden where he was. keeping watch on both Caide and the stranger, he wondered how the heck Caide would pull this off. ears pinned back and he flinched at the loud sharp noise, Caide used rocks to make. shaking his head some, he hoped this little stunt would work good or else they might be into some trouble and he hoped he wouldnt end up regretting this decision of his.

The next step in the process was hitting the stranger with a rock. With a flash of white teeth, Caide turned around, looked over his shoulder and aimed. There were small rocks mixed in with the big ones, but Caide knew he could hit him, either way. Swinging his tail, he saw a small rock launch and whiz by the stranger's head, hitting his ear. Oops. That would defiantly leave blood. Oh, well.
Again, he repeated the process and one of them hit the stranger in the rear, a smirk upon his lips. That was what he was aiming for.
With the noises stopped, Vestip tensed and looked around, unmatching eyes obviously uneasy. He was getting spooked, alright. More so than just irritated. He might be hot headed, but he knew about spirits. Maybe one, or more, was here. Thoughts were interrupted when something cut the shell of his ear and caused him to grunt, hissing softly. Then, the same something made contact with his rear.
Taking that as a cute to run, Vestip did just that. Heading away from the pride, away from the two young Ghosts.

Urzlan started to laugh as the stranger ran off finally. man it defiantly was amusing to pull tricks on a stranger to get them to go away. " that was great." smirking and going over to Caide, at lest he learned how to scare someone off if he wanted to. " was funny watching that stranger run off like that."

Caide laughed when Urzlan spoke up. Yeah, it was fun, he had to admit. He hadn't been able to pull that prank on anyone in a while. Usually they got spooked by he clatter of he stones and the occasional hysterical laughter. He stretched out and watched the male a little bit before nodding. "You'd make a good ghost if you could stay quiet." He was teasing now. "Alright, well... Let's get you back to the pride. You're not an official Ghost, so you're limited on the borders like this."
