The town of Durem to the west has long been known for the macabre. It is full of adventurers and those who stray from what is considered 'normal.' On top of all this is their large vampire population who find Durem's cobbled streets and gothic outfitters a perfect environment.
In an almost stark contrast stands Barton. Featuring a high population of law abiding citizens, rarely has any misfortune more dangerous then a water balloon festival affected the streets of this patrolled city.
One could say that the regulars have grown soft. It's no surprise the discord that results from the newest threat to it's inhabitants.
Our story begins on a crowded Barton street...

Rules - Our heroes begin with 4 hit die (4d8+Str), 2 stars of equipment, and their charm worth of gold. -Follow all general game and combat rules as described in 'Hunter Roge's Big Book of Gm Resources' -Magic users (people with over 4 special) start with their spell slots filled -0 HP for player characters and important NPC's means only a K.O., at which point they have to be coup de grace'd or slip into death after 3 turns without being healed -Follow the TOS, guild rules, and general roleplay courtesies -Werewolf characters are generic characters in human form, and are granted the ability to transform into one of the 3 wolf characters as a full round action (which wolf and modified hp are at my choice) -Have fun and try to survive Current Characters --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  HP: 22/22 (4HD) Item: Hand gun ( 213) Gold: 15GP Alignment: Neutral (0 points)  HP: 20/20 (4 HD) Item: Assault Shotgun ( 215) Gold: 10 GP Alignment: Good (0)  HP: 23 Gold: 20 Items: None because Gan can kick your a** without pointy things >:3 Spells: Mage Armor, Elemental Cone, Zealous Battle Cry

HP: 22/22 (4HD) Item: Hand gun ( 213) Gold: 15GP Alignment: Neutral (0 points) Reznov stood staring blankly at the door of a bar, noticing the large 'Closed' sign hanging from the locked doorknob. "Dang bars never understand." he thought as he shoved his hands in his pockets and walked down the sidewalk. "When you need a vodka, you NEED a vodka. Who said drinking during the day was a bad idea?" This was not the first little annoyance he had run into on this 'business trip' to communize the Barton area. The accursed regulars had almost found the pistol he had strapped under the tail of his jacket, and now he couldn't even get, as he put it, 'sickle and hammered.' "What a bore." he muttered.

He was wearing a black T-shirt with the character Tux on the front and on the back was printed the word "Linux". He was wearing a pair of cargo pants, and he had a shotgun slung over his right shoulder. "Hmm the guard seems light today." Hunter said looking around.

(Oh Yeah. Ganturo is a Power House and can handle being weaponless. He just has no Style to his fighting and never makes a good impression. Barton Right?)
Ganturo was hanging around the Arenas for the day, boredom had set in and it had been a long time since he had a good fight. The payoffs for the fights were small but still something. He was disappointed though when other then him it was only the N00bs of Barton fighting, and they never stood a chance. The final fight was of Ganturo fighting off Three of these N00bs and barely breaking a sweat. He collected his winnings and started to walk the streets of Barton being unable to help his look of pure anger. Whenever someone tried to talk to him they backed off when he returned them a low monstrous growl. It took an hour for him to get into a calm, detached attitude.

Above all of the noise on the street, a voice shot out. "What is this foolishness? I demand a refund." came the squealing, wheedling voice from a short man whose oversized turban dwarfed him. "Zere vill be no such reefvund." came a bellowing reply from the cycloptic and disreputable shopkeeper who he argued with. Many stopped talking to stare at the exchange. Little sympathy was shown on the faces of the onlookers, most of whom knew better then to buy from him, earning him a nickname that fitted his reputation.
"You can't trust Banya the Cheat. What an idiot." Reznov thought as he himself pivoted to a crisp halt to watch.

Ganturo walked into the crowd, he didn't care what was going on, all he cared about was there could be a nice street fight happening any second now. He stood close to the commotion, closer then anyone else would stand. He had to get this close if he wanted to know what was going on, his hearing was bad due to the cloth covering his head and his sight was limited due to the orange lens in front of his right eye and the cloth over his left. His hands twitched for a second as they formed themselves into a more claw-like appearance.

Hunter saw the commotion.
"What is this? Some idiot get scamed out of his gold."
Hunter said walking closer towards the two bickering.
He got a little closer that's we he noticed Ganturo and Reznov.
"Hmm interesting."
Hunter said gripping the shoulder strap on his shotgun.

"You one eyed pile of walking vomit!" the disgruntled man barked "How dare you sell me this worthless scimitar! The very blade fell off of it not two paces from your stand!" Banya merely laughed. "And you said this would even kill an ogre? I would have died!" he said, stamping his feet so his large headwear weaved from side to side. He turned to the crowd appealingly, however found the gathering less then sympathetic.
"What're you looking at us for?"
"Yeah, it's not our fault you buy from thugs."
"Man, you shoulda bought the ogre slaying knife: It get's a plus 9 against ogres."
Banya then raised his foot and kicked the lawn gnome sized man, placing his boot on the back of his head. "How's zat for a refund?" he bellowed
Down on the floor, however, the oppressed nooblet shook. Foam shot to his teeth. A beastly growl escaped his lips and he grew to twice his diminutive size, pushing Banya off of him. As the crowd squealed and ran, the beast raised his claw and slashed Banya's throat. Heaving and panting, the beast turned to the crowd and snarled.
