It was actually, Eve decided, rather nice to have some time to herself instead of being surrounded by girl friends the whole day. Of course that was enjoyable too; shopping and gossiping together was oh so fun! But even the most sociable person on earth needed a break, and for Eve, sitting alone at a table while spooning a scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough ice-cream into her mouth was simply...pure heaven.
The cafe today was pretty crowded though, the blonde observed, swinging her legs back and forth idly as she watched people pass by the window. Some were taking hurried steps, and perhaps they were late for some appointment; some were strolling while talking and laughing, looking glad to have a relaxed time of the day. She knew exactly how they felt. Being hectic wasn't exactly fun all the time. Being swamped with appointments here and there was a bit stifling, and that was why Eve politely declined a shopping trip with a gaggle of her friends today.
For now, it was just her, and the bowl of ice-cream.

Louisa had initially left the house to take some photos, she thought it would have been a fun thing to do but everywhere was so busy and so trying to take some good photos seemed to just be well hard. She had got a few good shots but it seemed that she would have to find somewhere else to go at least for now. She could go somewhere else later to try and get some better shots but she couldn't be bothered now, she was getting a little hungry and spotting the cafe was just perfect timing.
She walked in and let out a sigh, it seemed even the cafe was busy today but at least it was somewhere she could eat. She waited her turn and ordered herself some ice cream, a treat she didn't have all that often and then looked around to sit down. It really was busy here.
She spotted a seat by the window at a table, there was another girl there but it seemed the emptiest out of the other tables. She walked over and took a deep breath before smiling at the girl and asking in the politest voice, "Do you mind if I sit here?" She was a little nervous, she didn't find talking to people her strong point but she wanted to sit down so today she was taking what to her was a risk. She wanted to enjoy her ice cream!

It wasn't long till her peace and quiet moment was interrupted however. The girl had to fight back an urge to let out a tiny sigh as she looked up at the other girl, but well! She couldn't exactly expect to be left alone at this time of the day, in such a busy cafe. Oh the perils of dining at a famous cafe, Eve thought, perhaps a little too dramatically. But then again, the wonderful ice cream they served was enough reason for her to keep coming back. Quality over quantity, they always said. She wasn't sure if that particular quote applied in this situation, but it did rather seem to make sense.
So, her chirpy demeanor returning and a bright smile upon her face, she waved a dismissive hand at a seat. "Oh, it's perfectly fine with me!" Then, with a quizzical glance, she asked. "So, you came here alone too?" Eve really never failed to grasp the chance to strike up a conversation. She loved to meet new people, from all walks of life, no matter how old, how young, or how grumpy...she recalled her futile attempts on trying to strike up conversations with grouchy old folk; she still really didn't understand how hostile they sometimes seemed...she was just trying to put some happiness into their lives after all!

"Thanks!" She said a little too quickly and sat down trying not to look nervous. She was wondering why it was she had walked in to a busy cafe when most of the time she tried to avoid these kinds of social situations. Then again it probably wasn't that bad, she just had to talk and talking wasn't too hard now was it?
"Oh yes, I like wandering around on my own, you see so much more." She smiled as she spoke though she didn't really look at the other girl, she stared down at her own ice cream and played with the spoon. It seemed no matter how hard she would try to hide her nervousness there were always signs.
"You like being on your own to?" She looked up at her as she spoke this time, looking the girl over and then smiling, a proper smile. She didn't look like she was unfriendly and she had let her sit down. Louisa decided that it was good to at least try and get on with someone.

Sometimes, Eve either didn't realize how uncomfortable people were when a stranger struck up a conversation with them, or perhaps it was that she simply didn't get it. It wasn't as if she had an ulterior motive or anything. The attitude she had gotten from some people was simply quite strange; they would simply glance at her suspiciously and say nothing. Luckily, not everyone acted that way. Eve would be sorely disappointed if their society would ever fall to such ruin.
Her hands clasped, fingers intertwined, she rested her chin on them, smiling brightly at the other. "Indeed!" She exclaimed happily. Ah, so she was an adventurer! That was good; Eve herself liked being adventurous and constantly looked out for new places to go and have fun.
"Well sometimes," The teenager began, leaning backwards in her seat, taking another scoop of ice cream, making sure it wasn't too much or she would get a brain freeze and make her look ridiculous in front of her new acquaintance. She paused to swallow it down, then continued. "I like being alone, cause y'know, things can get a bit stifling with everyone around me all the time. But!" She exclaimed, twirling her spoon in the air. "It's fun to do some things with lots of people. Liiikkeee, shopping!" At this, Eve leaned in closer, a sparkle of excitement evident in her eyes. "Shopping alone isn't really fun. Believe me, I tried."

Louisa was a little surprised at how talkative this girl was but she didn't mind, the ease that the spoke helped her relax a little and so she could listen while eating her ice cream. She was rather good at listening - she didn't say anything wrong if she listened!
"Oh? I don't mind shopping on my own. Sometimes it can be annoying if someone wants to go to one place and you want to go to another." Louisa tended to go shopping rarely and most often on her own. Of course she did go with friends sometimes but more often then not she would find something more interesting to do.
When she finished talking she had a little more ice cream before realising she didn't know the other girls name. She should have probably asked earlier!
"Oh erm.. I am Louisa by the way." Well at least she introduced herself.

"Oh?" Eve blinked at the other curiously. "We always take turns to choose where we want to go. I mean, that's only fair! Plus, it's always good to get a second opinion on what you want to buy. You can't exactly trust the word of shop assistants; although it pleases you to hear compliments, it's better to know if you do look fat in something before you purchase it." Shopping alone was boring, and that was the conclusion that was firmly stuck into Eve's head. Of course, shopping with boys was a different story altogether...
"Oh!" She exclaimed, realizing that she had babbled on and on without even introducing herself, which actually, was something which Eve had a tendency to do often. "Nice to meet you, Louisa. I'm Eve." She peered at the other thoughtfully. "So, do you go to Crystal Academy or Meadowview?"

Louisa laughed, "That makes much more sense however we seem to never be able to agree on anything!" Louisa smiled as she listened, she wasn't one to worry too much about if she looked fat unless she was out and about, then she tried to look good.
"I suppose that's logical if your friends are trustworthy enough to not start messing about if you ask them their opinion. I would rather trust the shop assistants then my friends as they like to tease somewhat." She did adore her small group of friends but sometimes they were better off being ignored.
"It's lovely to meet you Eve, I go to Meadowview." She adored her school and was never quite sure what to make of the girls at the Crystal Academy, she envied them in a way always looking so done up and pretty but then she did rather like being normal and always viewed the girls from the Crystal Academy to be well in another reality. She doubted she would ever actually talk to one of those girls... unless Eve was from there? She would feel so awkward around a Crystal Academy girl but Eve was nice, she had to go to Meadowview.

"Well, different people see the different sides of a situation I guess." Eve said thoughtfully. "Though I never really comprehend it when others think something different of what seems so natural to me. I guess it's just a personal thing." She pursed her lips slightly. Really, it was a difficult concept for her to get sometimes; perhaps she was too used, too comfortable with her way of doing things. Which also was a good thing, right?
"Yeah, but they often tell you how good you look in something just so they can sell it and make a profit. They're helpful, yes, and incredibly so, but it's not in their job requirements to chase a customer away by being blunt." When it came to fashion, Eve didn't really trust anyone but herself.
"Ahhhhh..." She breathed thoughtfully. It wasn't appropriate for her to sigh because this girl wasn't in the same school as her, was she? No, Louisa would probably think she would be looking down on her, what with the rivalry between their schools, which she personally thought was quite childish, but kept her mouth shut about this thought around her schoolmates. "I'm from Crystal, actually."

Louisa just nodded as she wasn't really sure how to respond to such a comment. Though she could understand Eve's view on sales assistants. After all their job was to sell you the clothes.
"Yes I can see how that makes sense. Maybe I should try and find someone who likes shopping to come with me next time." She smiled actually contemplating the idea. She didn't really like shopping but did it because well firstly she had to get some nice clothes to wear and secondly because it seemed the cool thing to do.
"Oh? Really?" She was from Crystal? She seemed so nice though. Louisa hadn't actually met anyone from the school before so maybe all the rumours were just that, rumours.
"I always thought the girls from Crystal were really stuck up and stuff but you seem really nice." She didn't know much about the school other then it was 'posh' compared to her school. Louisa wasn't bothered though really she just tended to avoid those who were in the blue uniform but maybe she didn't have to anymore. Eve seemed really nice so maybe the other girls were to.

"Good!" The blonde giggled, clapping her hands together with triumph. "My job here is done." After she had said this, she realized she had been focusing on her chat with Louisa and her eyes darted to her bowl, wincing slightly as she noted that her ice cream was starting to melt a little. Spoon in hand, she scooped up another spoonful for her to relish and licked it as she listened, her lips pursed up slightly.
"Well, the others aren't so bad really. Perhaps we have misconceptions of each other? I've heard you guys are...er...well...pretty rough around the edges. No offense, of course!" She added hastily.

Louisa laughed a little and then looked down at her own ice cream after seeing Eve do so. It seemed her own was melting as well though she didn't mind. She loved melted ice cream though she wasn't sure why. She loved to melt it and then eat it, or drink it which was sometimes more appropriate. Though as Eve took a spoonful of hers Louisa did the same, after all no point leaving it to waste.
"Maybe you are right." She commented after licking her lips.
"We have heard that you lot are all well stuck up and no one can ever be as good as you lot are. Basically you are all a load of stuck up bitches.... at least thats what I have heard." She added the last bit on a bit quick, she didn't want to seem rude. "I wouldn't say we were rough round the edges though, it's just a school and because of that we have the various stereotypes I guess the popular kids, the nerds and geeks and so on... it's pretty normal but then I guess it would be to me." She thought there was nothing wrong with her school, she could adjust her uniform if she wanted, though not too much. It all seemed rather laid back and she was happy with that.

For once, Eve seemed to be at a loss for words, wondering if she should defend her schoolmates and how she would go about doing it. It was, after all, a rather touchy subject. And all this because of the rivalry between their two schools. It was lucky the both of them weren't in their school uniforms, at least.
"I guess some of the girls are just pride themselves on what they have." She murmured, a thoughtful frown creasing her face. "I think we really shouldn't stick to stereotypes and judge each other until we are at least acquainted."

Louisa thought about what Eve said and nodded.
"Yes I am sure you are right, after all you seem really nice and I am sure you aren't the only nice girl at your school." Once she finished talking she took another mouthful of ice cream. It was tasting good.
"Are you on any of the sport teams at school? I hear your school is really good at some sports." Louisa wasn't really a sporty type, she wouldn't join in mostly because she wasn't good at them but she enjoyed watching them and especially when all the schools played each other.

"Oh, I have lots of friends at Crystal!" Eve replied cheerily. If one considered the fact that Eve thought of almost everyone as a friend and seemed to turn a blind eye towards some very apparent flaws, then it wasn't really that surprising at all. It wasn't that she didn't notice them; it was that she preferred to focus on the...nicer parts of people.
"Nope." She shook her head to emphasize this fact. "I'm a dancer." She sometimes hesitated to watch her school being trashed by the other in certain rough sports, though of course, they trumped Meadowview in their niche for other sports. "We're...err...not really good at many sports. Just a few. I've heard you guys have a fabulous choir! I kinda wish I could hear them."
