" Alright you two remember the rules, we're holding hands, not walking off with strangers and not touching anything without permission." Rinali smiled down at her two young charges as she spoke. They were simple rules but she felt the need to repeat them anyways. Even with well behaved kids things could get out of control in this kind of atmosphere. There were so many things to do and see and it whole place buzzed with excitement. Rinali herself was actually a bit antsy to get a move on now that they had their entrance and ride bracelets. It'd been some time since the orange haired woman had enjoyed a carnival never mind one attached to the county fair..
Wren nodded and reached out for Gail's hand, the brunet songbird was as composed as ever but excitement shone in his green eyes. The air here was warm and filled with so many different smells, sugary, spicey and even a bit of not unpleasant sweat. Never mind the giant ferriswheel that towered over all the other rides, the long midway filled with shouting barkers pointing at games and prizes and the penned animals off in the distance. " There's a lot of stuff here."

The little girl squealed and chirped in happiness, taking hold of her companion's proffered hand and bouncing on her toes. "Oooooooh! Gramma, Gramma! Can we go on the rides? Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease?!" quite a hyper and demanding child Gail could be at times. She was usually pretty well behaved, had been very quiet and docile for her parents, but a trip to a brand new place full of new sights, sounds and things to do.
Presently, the little girl was out with her Papa's Mama. Gail's 'mother' was presently pregnant and had to stay inside and off of his feet. Her elder siblings mostly were all busy or trying to keep cool, so there'd been very few outtings since her arrival. Now, however, she was getting to go out with Gramma and Wren - a fellow songbird and her Gramma's charge. He was nice, even if he was super quiet.

Rinali laughed and nodded which caused her tiny bell earring to jingle as she did so. The little girl her son and and Pash had gotten for their husband divine was adorable and it melted her heart to be called gramma like that. " Sure we can do the rides first" Probably the best idea too since you never want to do rides after food and midway should usually be last so you weren't carrying prizes around for hours. " Which ride first?" She asked as she lead the pair towards them. There were quite a few to choose from even for kids their size
Wren shrugged and squeezed the white haired girl's hand " Gail can pick becuase she's a girl." Wren lived in an all girl household mostly an tended to be at the mercy of his mothers and sisters whims. Besides there'd been a thing on the tv the other day about about knights , which he'd learned about from Vergil and they were all chivalrous and nice to girls and he wanted to try that at least for a bit.

The white haired child giggled. "that's a silly reason for me to pick first. You pick first, Wren, so we don't forget to do things you like!" the girl squeaked happily, moving to hug him. "It'll make it easier for me to pick next anyway."

Wren made a small chirrup noise in his throat at the sudden hug then nodded. The dark skinned boy didn't mind picking first at all and his eyes roamed over the choices. "That one." He pointed to a small child's roller coaster shaped like a long dragon. It looked neat and there were kids on it giggling and screaming so it had to be fun.

Gail squealed in delight, clapping her hands and fluttering her teensy wings. Ooh that did look like fun! Bouncing on her toes, the girl grinned up at her grandmother and smiled over at Wren. "Yesyesyes! That looks like fuuuuuuuuuun!"

Rinali laughed " Alright then that's where we will go." The seraph began to lead the pair of songbirds to the line in front of the ride. She was starting to wonder if it would be a bad idea to give them or moreover Gail sugar later. Maybe she'd just send the girl home with some cotton candy although knowing her son Pyran would steal it, or at least some of it.
Wren fluttered his own wings in response and grinned happy to have made a choice his friend liked. He did want Gail to be happy as much as he wanted to be happy too. " I hope we sit in the front." He wanted to be in the car where the dragons head was, to be the first to go over the little hills and dips. Fidgeting little he reached up to run his fingers over the smooth bone of the small skull attached to beaded necklace his egg had been found with.

"We can be, don't worry." Gail assured him, dragging him and her Gramma towards the line so that they were first for the new ride. The group for the one about to run was just finishing getting on, so they'd have to wait for their turn, but at least they had first pick.
"Don't worry, Wren, we can pick when it's our turn." she cooed happily. Not that she really thought he'd been worried.

The green eyed boy smiled at that and looked up to watch the group currently riding." It's bigger than it looked." Closer up the ride was longer and further off the ground that it had seemed before. Not intimidating quite yet but definitely peculiar and louder.
" Do you two ant to sit together or with me in the middle?" Rinali asked. Either way she was going with them to sooth any potential panicking that happened but the seraph would give them a choice in seating arrangement.

Gail thought before smiling. "Gramma in the middle. That way we can hug you if it's scary."
Soon enough, the ride came to a stop and the kids on it filed off - some getting back in line for another go. Again, the swan girl dragged her companions towards the coaster, showing the lady at the booth her wrist bracelet before climbing into the front car.

" I'm starting to think you're secretly a goose" Rinali teased lightly as she climbed into the green front car behind the swan girl. Gail was certainly quick and not quite forceful but assertive; it was in her opinion rather cute actually.
Wren laughed as he slipped into the car last and tucked his small wings comfortably to himself. Gail the goose? No that didn't work becuase geese were mean and stole your stuff. Gail didn't take things, at least she'd never taken nothing of his." Are you ready?" He asked then leaned as far forward as the safety bar would allow so he could see the other toddlers face.

Gail nodded profusely, after giggling at Rinali's joke. "Silly Gramma, I's not a goose. If I was a goose, I'd go honk honk and wouldn't have my spot." the child indicated the little black mark on her white face. "Mommy says that's a swan thing. He's got one too."

Rinali just snorted and nodded, the girl was going to be interesting to watch as she grew up.
Before anyone else could open their mouth to speak there was a loud fwoosh as the roller coasters breaks released and the whole train of cars surged forwards towards the first little hills.
Wren could feel butterflies dancing in his stomach as their car tilted upwards a bit.

The small girl let out a squeal of joy, clutching the bar in front of her as the car set off moving. This was fuuuuun! Her eyes were wide as they rode fast around the track, moving up and down over hills and valleys, it was so much fun!

The laughter and joy in the children's voices made Rinali grin, certainly the roller coaster itself was enjoyable too but not quite wild enough to insight any funny feelings in her stomach as an adult.still the seraph was havign fun and it seemed like neither child was scared at all.
Wren held tight to the safety rail as laughter bubbled from his lips. This was the most fun thing he'd ever done! the small songbird liked when they went up the little hills best and he felt all tingly just before the drop.
