Laying beneath the darkness of a large tree, a brightly colored lioness lay, snarling. Her four wings, now worn and beaten, lay folded awkward against her side as she shifted. Her bright green eyes wandered over everything before her. "Cursed sun." she hissed as she glanced up at the sky, using a black, green, and purple stared wing to shield her vision from the bright light. How could her sister throw her from the skies like that. She had every right to be there as she did. No one could raise the moon like Seraphim. She should be up there... in the darkness, conversing with the stars and spreading the darkness... not stuck down here on the earth, forced to put her paws to work.

A strangely coloured lion wandered though the forest, it was a fairly quiet day for him at least. He hadn't seen his mother since he had come here.. but perhaps that was a good thing. His mother was well... Kind of insane. He sighed but somehow he still missed her.
"What's that?" Something was glittering up ahead underneath a tree. He approached slowly and quietly. As he neared he realized it was a wing. A set of wings actually.
"Excuse me." he said with a slight smile. "I just saw something sparkling, I didn't realize it was a lioness until I got closer." He gave her a low bow.

Seraphim let out a hiss as she recoiled back into the darkness. It was an instinctual feeling at first, but as her eyes adjusted to his image, she glanced at him longer. "Who are you? What do you want?" she growled, her tone low. Seraphim had made it her priority to never come in contact with the locals. She would do her best to keep that promise. Noting his bow, her lips curled slightly in disgust, but none the less, she returned a slight head nod of her own. At least he was easy to look at. Half black, half red. He almost reminded her of a blood red moon.

A surprised look crossed his face as she hissed at him and he took a step back. "I'm Hibashira, but you can call me Hiba." He frowned "I don't want anything... Really." He looked at her bruises and wounds "Your hurt." he said concerned. He was ashamed not to have noticed them earlier. "Can I help?" he asked daring to take one more step closer.
"Like I said before I only saw something sparkling and came to find out what it was." Hiba smiled, she was a very beautiful Lioness and such wounds didn't suit her nor did an angry face.

Seraphim looked at him, then down to her worn and ragged paws. She had remembered why she was laying here in the first place. One of her pads was worn down badly - bad enough to cause bleeding. Glancing back up at him, she repeated his name. "Hibashira." she said as she began to lick her paw, still staring at him from the corner of her eyes. Pausing between a lick, she looked him up and down once more. "My name is Fal.... Seraphim. Just Seraphim." she growled, cursing herself for almost spewing her title "Fallen" - the title she was 'supposed' to call herself during her banishment. She would never call herself that and give her sister the satisfaction of knowing it truly did bug her. "And thank you but I do not need, nor want your help." she added, going back to cleaning her white fur of the red liquid.

"Seraphim is a beautiful name," he smiled "Very fitting for one such as yourself." he noticed her wings, six. Was she simply just another lion just because she looked almost normal. And how did she get all those wounds? But at the same time there was something compelling him to help.
Hiba frowned she was stubborn refusing to accept help. She was like his mother in that respect. "I respect your strength Seraphim." he paused and glanced at her again "how long can you stay strong like that?" She'd probably say as long as she lives or something along those lines. He supposed she'd continue to refuse no matter how much he offered to help.
"Do you mind if I sit?" he asked.

Seraphim eyed him. "As long as the moon still rises at night." she answered him, unaware of his thoughts. The blood finally began to slow and she tucked her paws beneath her chest. They were sore from being cleaned vigorously anyways. Wrapping her tail about her chest, she tilted her head at him. "I suppose, though some how I feel you would have sat anyways...even if I told you no." she said as she adjusted each of her wings one by one. A few feathers fell from them but she didn't mind. As soon as the moon rose, she would forget about her pain anyways.

"Thank you," he said sitting "But you are right, I would have sat anyway." Hiba smiled, watching her adjust her wings. he watched her feathes fall, they sparkled like the stars themselves. "Where did you come from Seraphim?" Hiba asked "Beautiful wings like yours are quite unusual around here. Where their many like you where you came from?" Ok so maybe not the best questions to start with but maybe... She'd probably growl at him again. He wasn't the best when it came to females.
Though she was wounded, Seraphim refused help, Hiba knew that would only bring Seraphim more pain to her in the future. Perhaps he'd find some way to help if he continued simply talking.

Seraphim eyed him and let out a short snort. "I came from the stars. The moon is my mother." she stated, and while many believe her to be insane, she was rather serious. Blinking at her feathers as they seemed to sparkle like a star despite the glare from the sun, she managed to let a smile tug at the corners of her jaws - that is until he asked about others like her.
Now snarling at the thought, she let two words slip from her lips like vile acid. "My sister." she hissed. "My sister is the only other like me. Truly like me." she spat again. "But she rules the sun and banished me from my home amongst my lesser sisters and brothers." she mentioned with disgust - these "sisters and brothers" being both the stars and the lion's that lived at night. The only beings she accepted as family.

Hiba smiled he had heard stranger stories but... her serious tone made him think. "I believe you." Hiba looked at her surprised again she had hate for her sister and he could understand why. "It is terrible to be away from those things you truly love." Hiba understood being separated from those he considered family. "Your sister must not quite understand what it feel to be separate from those you love."

Seraphim snorted. What would he possible know or understand about her situation? She was a child of the Moon! Not many were. "My sister..." she spat again. "She will never understand!" she hissed at the sun and dug her claws into the ground with a sigh. Glancing back at him, she had to ask. "Why do you believe me? Not many do."

Hiba listened quietly before answering. "Because you don't have any reason to lie nor do you sound crazy." he answered simply. Though she was angry about her sister... and the loss of her family. There wouldn't be a reason for her to lie at last that's what he thought.
"Are you hungry?" he asked suddenly, he realized he himself was a little hungry and he didn't doubt she was too.

Seraphim was about to quickly ignore his invitation when her stomach churned and gurgled. Growling inwardly at herself, she glanced back up at him. He was right, and as much as she hated to admit that she was hungry....she was. "Yes..." she said simply with a sigh and got to her paws. She winced as she did so, as they were still sore but she wasn't going to let that stop her. "But I can catch my own pray." she mumbled again.

"Then why don't we hunt together?" Dispite her injuries once again she was going to push herself. Well at least if he was with her he could help and he wouldn't let Seraphim push herself too far. He stood and smiled. "I know you wont stay here even if I told you I'd hunt for you."

Seraphim couldn't help but laugh at that one. "Your right." she said as she limped forward. "But I can't let my sister see my suffering. It pleases her all too well." she muttered, or so she thought. She had no clue what her sister actually thought or felt and she didn't want to either.
