Quote: http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/869043 wwe.com is reporting that Oscar Gutierrez (Rey Mysterio, Jr) has been suspended for 30 days for a welness violation beginning Wednesday, September 2. Quote: As confirmed earlier today, WWE Intercontinental champion Rey Mysterio has been suspended for 30 days due to a Wellness Policy violation. According to F4WOnline.com, the suspension for Mysterio will begin on Wednesday, likely so he can work the SmackDown! tapings on Tuesday so that WWE can get the Intercontinental championship off him. Quote: Rey Mysterio recently spoke with The Record Newspaper in Mexico and commented on his WWE suspension. During the interview Mysterio said that he failed the test because of a drug he's taking for his knee and arm, and furthered his comments by saying that he had a prescription for the medication. However, because he had to fly to The UK for SummerSlam promotion, and because he was on vacation for a small period of time, he was unable to show WWE the valid prescription by the deadline they gave him and was suspended as a result.

This is why, WWE needs to stop appealing to little kids and go back to appealing to the ones that actually care. Target people, 16-30 like they did back in the day, then people won't be so shocked when someone gets suspended for cocaine and heroine.

Figures that piece of s**t would do something stupid like that. As far as kid favorite goes I know about 400 kids who'd disagree with that...the one who stood outside a Carl's Jr wanting his autograph (yes, I wanted the autograph as well) only to show up 30 minutes late...sign maybe 50 autographs then leave to the cries of "we want Rey"by those kids in the dust of his ******** Rey Mysterio.

It is the second time he gets caught. But last time, they didn't suspend him because he was getting the ratings they needed during the injury spree.

An update on the issue. Rey Mysterio speaks about the suspension. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just days after being suspended for 30 days by the WWE, Rey Mysterio has spoken out on the situation. He said that he was suspended for use of a prescription drug that he had been using for knee and arm injuries. Supposedly, Mysterio's deadline to notify WWE officials of the prescription was Thursday, the day his suspension was announced. Apparently, it was just a matter of him not getting a copy of the prescription submitted to the company in enough time.

Didn't they fired Eugene for a similar reason?

You mean Eugene's recent firing? If so I heard it was because he was out of shape.
