I just found out that my photo class is a film photography class and I need to spend about $100 more than I have already spent on the class on materials... Luckily, my teacher is a good enough guy to let us use his paper till we can get our own, but I still have to buy at least 8 rolls of black and white film, and brush up on the technical things on my film camera, which I haven't touched for a LONG TIME because I don't really have money for film.
on the upside, I have been wanting to do two things more
1) Black and white photography
2) Film photography
and my class is a black and white film class...so I guess that was an accidental win on my part...I get to learn how to use a dark room! Which is exciting.

I did a little teaching (I don't know if you'd actually consider it "teaching" as I wasn't exactly employed) earlier this year.
My friend (He's in his late 40's) who owns a local photography business let me come in and help teach at the college he was teaching at..
I went every Tuesday and Thursday for about 2 1/2 almost 3 months.
Several times he just let me teach the class myself, which was pretty fun. I liked it, I'm thinking about doing it again, he said I'm always welcome but I've just been busy with work and so many other things.

If I were you, I'd look for film online. Most local shops can't sell enough to really keep them fresh wink AND you'll be able to find a sweet deal smile Amazon FTW!

Yeah...thats what my teacher said, he even gave me a sight to go to...
but I put it in my browser and got porn eek
...so I just went to the store...
maybe I typed it in wrong? I don't know, but I went to a photography specialty store, so they had "fresh" film. Also, because I mentioned my teachers name, they gave me a discount on the film and the photo paper!
